Happy Anniversary Mum and Dad!

Hello Everyone! I am dropping by quickly to share a card I have made for my Mum and Dad who are celebrating  their Ruby Anniversary today. I will be giving it to them on Tuesday when they come to see us in our New Home. We are nearly all packed now and are just about to leave to have some dinner.

I used some wrapping paper to make my card so it matches the present I have wrapped up for them. The paper is beautiful and I used several elements from it as embellishments on my card. The border was punched with a Fiskars border punch and the little hearts are also punched with Fiskars lever punch. The die cut swirls are from whiff of Joy.

The image is a new stamp from Lili of the Valley I bought at the NEC earlier this year. I coloured it in with Promarkers and added distress inks around the edge of the die cut. I am entering my card into this week's Passion for  Promarkers Challenge as the theme is to use die cuts.  I hope you have a lovely evening.

Whiff of Joy DT - Heartfelt Condolences Preview

Good Morning Everyone! I hope you had a good week and are looking forward to the weekend. I have had a busy week but managed to find some time to play with my DT package from Whiff of Joy. The next release is on the 28th of April and is a collection of stamps by Elisabeth Bell and coordinating sentiments.

Sympathy cards are very hard to make and so important to get right. This little angel stamp is perfect to let someone know you are thinking of them. I made the card by layering various patterned papers from my scraps box onto kraft and sewed around the edges before adding them to my card base. I layered them up and added my angel, which I had cut out, on top with foam pads. The little sentiment is from Pink Petticoat and I tucked a little Whiff of Joy rose behind it after I had curled the stem. I added a Cherry blossom flower from my stash and two pink flowers also from Whiff of Joy. Make sure you take a look at the rest of the Whiff of Joy's DT blog for some more previews of the new stamps! Have a lovely Friday!

Sugar Nellie DT - A Sweet little note

Good Morning Everyone! I apologise for my absence this week, things are a little hectic here with the big move only a few days away! It's my turn to share a project on the Sugar Nellie blog today and I am showing a little card I made with the very sweet 'Sent with love' Gorgeous girl stamp which is available here from Funky kits. I coloured her in with my Promarkers to match these very pretty ' Fine and Sunny' Kaisercraft papers. I layered the papers onto pink card and sewed around the edges before adding them to kraft card.

I wrapped ribbon around my base layer before adding it to the card and then added the circle topper on top with foam pads. I added a die cut sentiment topped with a little heart button before adding my image which I had cut out on top.

Here is a close up of my coloured image. I love her sweet little dress and boots and she is so lovely to colour in. I added a cluster of flowers from my stash as a finishing touch and a couple of little gems.
Have a lovely Wednesday!

Sugar Nellie DT - Coffee amongst the chaos!

Good Morning Everyone! I hope you are well and had a good week. It is chaos here as we will be moving house a week on Monday. I have been packing for a while so we are already surrounded by boxes and mess and the next week is going to be busy. I am supposed to be crafting today. I have some Magazine work to complete and lots of DT work but have only managed to do washing and a bit of sorting so far and buy some new digi stamps! I know what I am going to do but just need a push to get started!

At the moment, I am sat down with a cuppa and the TV on and I will get started when I have finished this post! The card I have to share with you today was made with the adorable 'Luv a latte' Simply Sassy stamp who is available here from Funky Kits. She is one of my most favourite Sassy stamps and I love colouring her in. I used some papers from the Fancy Pants 'Be You' pad. I love the rich pinks in this pad! I added a touch of aqua after I coloured my beautiful Sassy's eyes as I thought the card was missing something. I used flat flowers from my stash and topped them with gems and finished with a bow and a gorgeous sparkly swirl.
Right, I am off now to get some work done! Have a great Saturday!

Whiff of Joy DT for the Whiff of Joy Challenge

Good Morning Everyone! I have another project to share with you today made using the gorgeous Henry with large bow following the sketch from this fortnight's Whiff of Joy Challenge. I loved using this sketch, it is a great layout! I made my card using the same papers as yesterday's bookmark which are from the Teresa Collins Spring Fling pad.

I followed the sketch and cut the circle using a large die and added sewing around the edges of the cut squares. I coloured Henry using my Promarkers, he looks so adorable wearing his large bow! The sentiment I used is by Whimsy stamps and the flowers are from my stash and Whiff of Joy. I finished the card with a few little stick on pearls. Make sure you check out the Challenge blog for lots of inspiration from their fabulous DT! Have a great Wednesday!

Pollycraft Monday Challenge - Cute Critters!

Good Morning Everyone! I hope you had a lovely weekend. I didn't do much crafting this weekend...I wasn't really in the mood for crafting...so I made the most of the sunshine and spent a lovely day in Portsmouth yesterday with my Hubby visiting the Historic Dockyards, I hadn't been for years and I really enjoyed it! Back to reality and back to work today! Monday is Pollycraft Challenge day and this week the theme chosen by the lovely Anita is...
Cute Critters!

so would like to see some cute animals on your cards this week! One of the latest additions to the Pollycraft family is the very cute Barclay. He is a real treat to colour and I had lots of fun colouring him in to match this gorgeous Magnolia paper.

I made a card base using a large circle die and then matted and layered more circles which I sewed together.
I cut a circle from orange paper and stamped it with a Penny Black sentiment before adding it to the card and decorating it with die cut stars and a star charm. I wrapped the layers with twine before adding them to the card base and popping Barclay on top.

I hope you will be able to join us for this week's Challenge. We are sponsored this week by the Crimson Cloud. Make sure you check out the Pollycraft Challenge blog for lots of inspiration from the DT!
Have a lovely Monday!

Good Morning Everyone! As promised I am back with a preview of the Secret Summer Kit from Whiff of Joy which is available to pre-order today from Whiff of Joy. I coloured the gorgeous image with my Promarkers before cutting it out leaving a small border. The papers I have used are by My Mind's Eye from the Vanity Fair pad.

I used the fabulous sketch from Sketch Saturday for my card and created the centre circle using a doily die. The larger butterfly was made using a Whiff of Joy die and the smaller butterflies were punched from Kraft using a Fiskars punch. The flowers are from various places and the beautiful bow was tied from some lace from The Ribbon Girl. I hop you have a lovely Sunday!

A green fingered Henry card

Hello Everyone! I hope you are having a good Weekend. I have a card to share with you today which I made for one of my Friends at work this week as she needed a card for a 50 year old gardener. I used the Henry 'You have Green fingers' stamp from the Whiff of Joy February release for my card and some October Afternoon papers.

I had to put the card together in a bit of a hurry so I used a simple layout and kraft die cuts to tie everything together. The fence die cut is also from Whiff of Joy and is available here. I used a Memory Box ticket die cut from kraft to add my Tim Holtz number stickers before setting it with an eyelet and tying it with twine.
I found a spotty star in my stash and also tied this with twine before adding it to my card. I am entering my card into the Daring Cardmakers Challenge as they would like to see Hats on our creations and Henry is sporting a rather fetching straw hat.
I hope you have a lovely evening. Make sure you pop back tomorrow as I have a sneak preview of a stamp from the Whiff of Joy 'Secret Summer Kit' to show you as pre-orders start tomorrow!

My Mum's Craft Shop DT - Wild Rose Studio Printed panels

Good Morning! ! I hope you are having a good week so far. It's my day to share a card on the My Mum's Craft Shop blog today. I have been having some fun playing with some of the versatile Wild Rose Studio Printed panels to make some quick cards this week. I have also used some of the gorgeous new papers which have come into the shop this month. The pre-coloured images are perfect if you need to make a card in a hurry and do not have time to colour in a stamp.
My first card was made using a Fergus panel from a pack which is available here from My Mum's Craft shop.

The colours of the image coordinate beautifully with this paper from Prima which is from the Meadowlark pad. I also used some ribbon from The Ribbon Girl, a Hero Arts sentiment and some paper flowers from my stash. I finished the card with some stick on gems.
For my second card, I used a panel from the Milton panels pack and die cut it with a Spellbinders die before  adding it to a scalloped circle. The paper I used is by Bazzill and is from the Avalon pad.

I added some more beautiful ribbon from the Ribbon Girl and some matching letter stickers to create my sentiment. I finished the card with a couple of little gems and some glitter glue on the centre of the flower.
Have a lovely Thursday!

The beautiful Ribonita Mori

Good Morning Everyone!  It's my day to share a card on the Sugar Nellie blog and today I am showing  a card made using the beautiful  Ribonita Mori who is available to buy here from Funky Kits. I love all the Ribonita stamps, Alice is my favourite but Mori is a close second, she is so lovely to colour with so much detail, I love the flowers in her hair and the folds in her dress.

I have used Bobunny papers from the Serenity pad to cover my base card and layered up with kraft and wrapped with ribbon. The postcard stamp and sentiment stamp are by Whimsy Stamps.

Mori was stamped onto smooth white card and was coloured with Promarkers before I cut her out using scissors and a craft knife and I added her to the card with foam pads. I finished with a bow topped with a lovely wooden button, a cluster of flowers and some little gems.
Have a lovely Wednesday!

A card for the Anyone for Anya Challenge

Hello Everyone! I had lots of extra crafting time this weekend and couldn't resist making a card to take part in this week's Anyone for Anya Challenge. I have lots of The Greeting Farm stamps that hardly ever get inked up! Too many stamps and too little time! The theme for this week's Challenge is a photo inspiration an the photo is of some bees on honeycomb. I am pretty sure I have some honeycomb paper, but couldn't find it, I think I may have packed it already. Instead, I used various scraps from my stash in yellow, white and black to create my background and added sewing to link each piece and around the edges.

I used the adorable Twirl Anya and coloured her in black and yellow to look like a cute little bee. I added ribbon to my background and then popped Anya on top with foam pads. The sentiment I used is by Hero Arts. As a finishing touch, I added a resin flower to my bow and some butterflies punched with a Fiskars punch. I hope you have a lovely Tuesday!

Whiff of Joy DT for the Whiff of Joy Challenge

Hello again! I am back with another card which I made for this fortnight's Whiff of Joy Challenge. I was going to post it tomorrow but I realised today I would miss the deadline. The theme for the Challenge is Spring is in the Air so is was the perfect opportunity to use a stamp with my favourite Gnomes. This stamp is called 'Girl and her lamb' and is available here from Whiff of Joy at a special offer price.

I made a card blank with a large shaped die and then decorated it with plain card and some bright and cheery Echo Park paper from my scraps box. I stamped the image and coloured it with my Promarkers before cutting it out into a rectangle and matting it on to more plain card and I then added it at an angle to the card base. The sentiment is by Woodware and was cut out with label dies and I added a bow, button,  some flowers from my stash and a couple of little Whiff of Joy Pearls as a finishing touch.
I hope you enjoy the rest of your day.

Good Morning Everyone! I hope you had a lovely Easter Sunday and had lots of yummy treats! I did lots of crafting yesterday and lots of relaxing and I am looking forward to having another day off today and hope to fit in a bit more crafting! Monday is Pollycraft Challenge day and our theme this week has been set by the lovely Lou and she has chosen...

FABRIC!

She would like to see fabric on your cards, either felt, twine, raffia, ribbon, linen...the choice is yours!
I have used the lovely Celeste Amberglow 'Farmin' apples' on my card who is available here from Pollycraft.
I coloured her in with Promarkers to match my gorgeous October Afternoon papers and added a Whiff of Joy sentiment stamped on Kraft.

I added fabric to my card in the form of Bias binding which is available here from the Ribbon Girl. I ironed it out so it looked frayed before adding it to my card. I finished with some lovely flowers, a charm from The Hobby House and a tiny button I bought at the NEC.
I hope you will be able to join us for this week's Challenge. The prize this week is a £10 voucher from Sew Sweet!! Make sure you check out their shop full of yummy ribbon and felt! :)

Sugar Nellie DT for the Sugar Bowl Challenge

Good Afternoon Everyone! I hope you are having a lovely Easter Weekend. I have had a busy morning tidying up my stamps and doing a little bit of crafting. Whilst sorting through my stamps I came across the adorable Sugar Nellie 'Let them eat cake' stamp by Sugar Nellie featuring the lovely Delia and couldn't resist using her on a card for this fortnight's Sugar Bowl Challenge.

Gayle has drawn up a gorgeous sketch to follow and the optional theme is 'Plaid and Stripes'. I chose some papers from the My Mind's Eye Miss Caroline Dolled up pad as there are gorgeous Plaids and stripes in the pad and teamed them with some lace from The Ribbon Girl. I added various flowers from my stash and some stick on pearls and finished with a sentiment by Wild Rose studio. I am going out this afternoon to see my family for Easter and tomorrow we are going to see the Hockney Exhibition at the Royal Academy. A Steampunk Steam Train

Hello Everyone! I hope you are having a good week. I am really looking forward to the long weekend! Things have been very busy around here lately! We are hoping to move house in the next few weeks so I have been busy with packing and sorting us out to move, I have also been busy with Commissions for the Magazine and did not manage to make my DT card for this week's Pollycraft Challenge. I have been struggling a bit with my mojo with so much on my mind! I did have a big crafting session yesterday so I will have some more cards to share with you soon!

I was asked ages ago by one of my good Friends to make a card for her Brother In Law who loves trains.
I found a lovely train image on the Graphics Fairy blog which was a perfect match for the Echo Park papers I had left from some Magazine Work. The sentiment was printed on my PC and I added a border cut with a Dienamics Monarch die. The cogs were cut with a Spellbinders die and the metal cogs were from Ali-Craft.
I will be back tomorrow with my DT card for My Mum's Craft shop, I had a great time last night playing with all the new papers which have been coming in over the past few weeks!
Have a great Wednesday!
