A Gorgeous Bear Hug

Hello Everyone! It's my day for posting on the Sugar Nellie blog today and I am sharing a card I have made using one of the lovely Gorgeous girls stamps from Funky Kits. This adorable image is called 'Bear Hug' and you can get her here. I coloured her in with Promarkers and paper pieced her dress to give her a lovely spotty outfit.

The papers I have used are Christmas ones from Carta Bella. I love the pretty colours so I thought I would have a go at using them for a non Christmassy card and I think they have worked pretty well. The lace was bought in a beautiful Haberdashery store in New York a little while ago and the flowers are from the Ribbon Girl and my stash. The little sentiment is a rub on. I finished off with a few little stick on gems and pearls. I hope you have a lovely Wednesday!

My Mum's Craft Shop DT - Echo Park week

Hello Everyone! It's my day for sharing a card on the My Mum's Craft Shop blog and we have another great theme  for you this week. We will be showcasing Echo Park papers! Unfortunately the papers I have used on my card are no longer available in the shop but we still have lots of yummy pads in stock. You can find them all here.

I layered my patterned papers on to a red paper from the pad and then added stitching around the edges. The lovely stamp I have used and sentiment are from Wild Rose Studio and is called 'Bunny with cake' . I coloured the image with Promarkers and added some glitter to the icing. I added some gorgeous gingham ribbon from the Ribbon Girl and lots of lovely flowers and finished with a wooden button and butterfly.
Have a lovely Sunday.

Little Miss Muffet DT for the Little Miss Muffet Challenge - Easter

Good Morning Everyone! It's Thursday again already and it's time for a brand new Little Miss Muffet Challenge! Our theme this Fortnight is Easter so now is the perfect time to get ahead with your Easter makes. I have altered a little coffee tin for my DT project, covering it in Echo Park papers and pink Bazzill card. It all came together very quickly!

I used the adorable Celeste Egg Hunt and coloured her in with my Promarkers to match the papers. I love the little Easter chick hiding behind her foot! I stuck Celeste to the tin hiding the join in the papers.

I made a little label using a Lili of the Valley sentiment stamp which I stamped onto yellow spotty card before mounting it on to a flower die cut from pink card. I then set it with an eyelet and threaded it with twine before adding it to the handle which was made from two strips of card. I decorated the tin with embellishments I found lying around on my desk and some lovely flowers from The Ribbon Girl.

Here is a little close up of Celeste. Isn't she adorable with her bunny ears and look at that basket full of eggs! I filled my little tin with tissue paper and my favourite Creme Eggs (they are all gone now! I am surprised they lasted long enough for the photo!) I hope you will be able to join us for our Challenge. Make sure you check out the blog for all the details and some inspiration from the DT.

My Mum's Craft Shop DT - A JoFy canvas

Hello Everyone! It's my day for posting on the My Mum's Craft shop blog and I have something a little different for me to share today. I have embellished a little canvas using one of the new funky JoFy stamps which recently arrived at My Mum's Craft shop. I used Luminarte radiant rain paints to colour the canvas and stamped the corners with the fab stamp.

I wrapped some beautiful ribbon around the canvas and then stamped the image onto kraft card before cutting it out. I distressed the edges of my image panel with my distressing tool and ink before adding it to the card with foam pads. I added stickles glitter glue to two of the flowers on the image and a button tied with twine to the largest one and then decorated my canvas with wooden embellishments and punched butterflies, The little chit chat sticker sentiment is by Tim Holtz. This canvas is really tiny and I had so much fun making it, I have lots of canvasses lined up for future projects and I can't wait to get started on them! I hope you have a lovely Sunday!

Little Miss Muffet release day - Lavender

Hello Everyone! I hope you are well. I seem to be recovering quite well from all the germs I picked up recently and have got my crafting mojo back! Just in time to play with one of the lovely new releases which are available to buy from Little Miss Muffet from today. There are 3 new rubber stamps in the 'What's New' section of the shop. I have used the adorable Lavender on my card.

I coloured Lavender in using my Promarkers and then cut her out leaving a small border before adding her to my card. I used some very old Echo Park papers and a gorgeous ribbon from the Ribbon Girl which I topped with a Ribbon Girl button. I followed the sketch from this week's Sketch Saturday and finished with some lovely Ribbon Girl flowers.
Make sure you check out the Little Miss Muffet blog for lots of inspiration using the new images!
Have a lovely Thursday!

Sugar Nellie DT - Bags of Fashion Mia

Hello Everyone! It's my day for sharing a card on the Sugar Nellie blog. I have been playing with my gorgeous new 'Bags of Fashion' stamps this week. It's so lovely to have new rubber to play with and I love all the Bags of Fashion girls. I have used Mia on my card and coloured her in with my Promarkers before cutting her out leaving a small border.

I used Spellbinders dies to cut a card base and to cut the layers for my card using Glitz Design papers from the Uncharted waters pad.  I distressed the edges of all the layers and tucked a die cut doily behind my sentiment strip which I topped with a pearl swirl.

Here is a close up of my image. I love her outfit and her cool boots! I added her to card using foam pads and finished with a wooden butterfly and a paper flower. I hope you have a lovely Wednesday!

My Mum's Craft Shop DT - My Favourite Things Stamps and Dies week

Hello Everyone! I am so excited about this week's theme week on the My Mum's Craft shop blog as we will be sharing cards made with products from one of my Favourite craft brands...My Favourite Things! I just love all the MFT stamps, Pure Innocence in particular and my collection of Dienamics dies are always in my 'most used dies' basket on my desk.
I have used the adorable 'Cute as a Button' stamp for my card and coloured her in with my Promarkers and paper pieced her using some papers from the My Mind's Eye ' Collectable Remarkable' pad which I also used for my card.

I used lots of Dienamics dies on my card. The sentiment was stamped on a mini tag from the 'Notched tag' set, I covered the join between my two backing papers using the 'Looped Border' and my image panel was cut using the 'Jumbo Fishtail Stax'

Here is a close up of my image with her cute little button jar. I found a lovely green button in my stash which I added to the sentiment tag. I finished the card with some flowers both paper and a metal one and a fun miniature cotton reel. Have a lovely Sunday!

Little Miss Muffet Challenge - Boys Only

Hello Everyone! I'm a little late with my Little Miss Muffet Challenge post. I'm still feeling awful and am behind with everything now! We have a great Challenge for you this fortnight at Little Miss Muffet which is 'Boys Only'! I know a lot of people struggle with cards for Boys and Men but I actually really enjoy making them. I used the Van Family Dad on my card and coloured him in with my Promarkers.

The papers I used are from Echo Park and I added a printed twill ribbon that I bought at Ally Pally ages ago. The sentiment is by SRM stickers and I set it with an eyelet which I tied with twine.

I cut out my image leaving a small border and then added it to my card with foam pads and finished with a couple of stick on pearls. I hope you will be able to join us for this Challenge. The DT have made some gorgeous cards to inspire you and we are joined for this Challenge by my lovely and very talented Friend Petra who is our Guest Designer. Have a lovely Thursday!

Sugar Nellie DT - Bookmark This!

Hello Everyone! I hope you are well and having a good week. I am not. I have a nasty cough and cold and had been plodding along but, after another night with very little sleep due to my blocked nose and coughing, I have given in and am resting up today in bed to fight off these germs! I have made something a little bit different for my Sugar Nellie post this week. I dug out my unused Dienamics bookmark die and matching stamps and die cut a bookmark using some scraps of paper.

I added a little bit of stitching to the tartan paper and then stamped and coloured the lovely Simply Sassy High School Student stamp which is available here from Funky Kits. I stuck her on to the bookmark with glue after I had cut her out leaving a small border.

I die cut some flowers using another dienamics die and inked the edges before layering it up and topped it with a wooden button I bought in Farnborough. I sandwiched a length of velvet ribbon between the flower and the bookmark as a finishing touch. I hope you have a lovely Wednesday!
