MMCS DT - Hugs

Hello Everyone! I hope you are having a good Weekend so far. It's my day for sharing a card on the My Mum's Craft Shop blog today and I have made a card using some of the gorgeous Wild Rose Studio products which are available at My Mum's Craft Shop.

The papers are from the Blackberry Lane pad which is available here and I matted them on to green card before sewing around the edges. I love all the pretty flowers on these papers. I used a gorgeous green ribbon from The Ribbon Girl to wrap around the papers and to add a pretty bow which I topped with a button threaded with twine. The sentiment is by Paper Smooches.

Here is a close up of the adorable image 'Emily and Cat' which I coloured with a mix of different alcohol markers. I cut it out using a Spellbinder's die and added it to the card using foam pads. I added lots of paper flowers to finish as well as a resin one and a couple of little wooden hearts. I hope you have a lovely Sunday!

A Snowy week on the My Mum's Craft shop blog

Hello Everyone!  I am kicking off a new themed week on the My Mum's Craft shop blog. Our theme this week is 'Snow or Glitter' and I have decided to follow the 'Snow' theme by using some gorgeous papers covered with Snowflakes from the My Mind's Eye Mistletoe Magic papers. I create a simple layout and added a little stitching. I like to keep most of my Christmas cards simple as I have to make quite a few!

I die cut a banner shape using a Dienamics die and added a fabulous Typographic sentiment from Indigoblu on top.

I love the fancy fonts on this stamp. I stamped it using red Archival ink. I added the banner shape on to my card using foam pads and then added a wooden snowflake from my stash which I topped with a button. I finished off with a few little stick on gems. I hope you have a lovely Sunday!

MMCS DT - Glittery Butterflies for a CAS card

Hello Everyone! I hope you are having a lovely weekend so far. I had a busy day yesterday and am looking forward to chilling out a little bit today and having some Crafty time! I have been playing with the lovely Kaisercraft Enchanted Garden papers this week, the pad is packed with lots of beautiful papers including a couple of glittery ones and I couldn't resist making a shaped card using the gorgeous Butterfly paper.

I cut the card base and the paper I used to top the card using a Spellbinders die and cut another strip of paper from the pad using a Dienamics die to stamp my sentiment which is from the very useful Clearly Sentimental set. I added a butterfly which I die cut using a Clearly Besotted die and finished with some gems and a little paper flower. I will be back very soon with another card.

Playing with Paper and Glue

Hello Everyone! It's the Weekend! I have a fun day of shopping ahead with my Mum and then not much else planned apart from a lot of crafting. I am popping on quickly today to share a couple of cards I made recently using papers from the Echo Park Paper and Glue pad. This has been one of my favourite pads of the year. The papers are perfect for boy's cards and have come in handy for some cards I made to celebrate important milestones for some of the boys in my life.

I made the first card for my Son to congratulate him on his exam results in August. He has now completed his first full week at Sixth Form College and I am so proud of him I could burst! The card has a simple layout and I used Whiff of Joy stamps and a Paper Smooches sentiment.

I made this card for my Best Friend's Son who started Primary School last week. I cannot believe how grown up he is now, it only seems like yesterday I was holding him in my arms when he was a tiny baby, he has grown into such a lovely little boy and seeing him all smart in his School Uniform really made me well up! The image I have used is Lil' Dumplings Brains from Pollycraft and is available here and the sentiment is another Paper Smooches one. I hope you have a lovely Saturday!

The papers I have used are some very old ones from my stash and the sentiment is from Hero Arts. I added lots of flowers and some leaves and finished with some stick on pearls. I hope you will be able to join us for the chance to win a voucher to spend at Pollycraft.
Have a lovely Friday!

MMCS DT - Use something round

Hello Everyone! I am kicking off a new themed week on the My Mum's Craft Shop blog today. This week we will all be using something round on our Projects. I used a large circle die to create the focal point for my card and stamped it with a My Favourite Things sentiment from the Bold Statements set I then added black glitter glue to for a bit of added sparkle.

The papers I have used on my card are from the My Mind's Eye Chalk Studio pad.  The cute little Panda is by Crafter's Companion and I coloured him in with Graph'it pens and Promarkers.

I popped him on to the card using foam pads and then finished the card off with some flowers, a button, a scrabble tile and a stick on gem. I will be back a little later on with something completely different!
