A Wild Rose Studio Cutie

Hello Everyone! I hope you are well and are having a good Weekend. It's my day for sharing a card today on the My Mum's Craft Shop blog. I have made a card using the adorable 'Elsie with heart' stamp which is available here from My Mum's Craft Shop.

I coloured her in to match the papers I used which are by Authentique from the Smitten pad. I added a sentiment by Paper Smooches and kept my layout quite simple. I added a gorgeous buckle slide and a ribbon from The Ribbon Girl and finished with a paper flower and some stick on gems. I hope you have a lovely Sunday!

Best Friends Forever!

Hello Everyone! I hope you are having a good week so far. I am happy we are getting closer to the Weekend! I have a quick post to share with you today to show a little card I made using Mama Elephant Honey Bunny stamps.

I stamped the bunnies and then masked them and stamped around using different inks and a My Favourite Things ink splat stamp from this set.. I dotted matching stick on gems around the image and added glitter glue to the little tails and placed the image behind a dienamics polaroid die cut which I stamped with a sentiment. I embossed some kraft and stitched around the edges before adding it to my card and placed the topper at an angle on the card finishing with a paper flower and a stick on gem. I hope you have a lovely Wednesday!

Easter bunnies

Hello Everyone! I hope you are having a lovely Easter weekend. I have been very busy decorating this weekend but it is all done now so I am heading out for a day out with my husband. I have a few little Easter cards to share with you today. I made these using scraps of patterned papers and some card blanks I found in Waitrose.

I simply used one card as a template to cut the patterned papers and inked around the edges with yellow distress inks. I added some loopy trim ribbon from The Ribbon Girl and some paper flowers. I used a paper carnation for the fluffy tail.

And here they are all finished! I hope you have a lovely Monday!

Ribbon Girl DT for the Ribbon Girl April Challenge - Yellow

Hello Everyone! As promised I am back with my DT card for this month's Ribbon Girl Colour Challenge. Our very appropriate for today colour theme is 'Yellow/Lemon' which took me right out of my comfort zone but I did enjoy the Challenge! I used a little sweetie called Puddle Jumper Fancy Girl from 'By Lori Designs' on my card. She is available here.

The papers I have used on my card are from the Echo Park 'Good Morning Sunshine' pad. I layered them on to kraft and also used a background chicken wire die for my image to sit on.
I used the following Ribbon Girl goodies on my card: Velvet Yellow Berisford ribbon, Sweetheart blossoms, linen button twine, Yellow twill stripe ribbon, bronze star charm, paper daisy, stick on pearls and a Polka dot button.

Here is a close up of my coloured image. I thought she would look really cute with a flower in her hair and little pearl earrings. I hope you will be able to join in with our Challenge and maybe show us your Easter creations. We are sponsored by Lisa and Laila at LOTV and also The Ribbon Girl who are offering one randomly chosen winner two prizes of:

Enjoy the rest of your Weekend!

MMCSDT - Kraft card week on the My Mum's Craft Shop blog

Hello Everyone! Happy Easter! It's my day for sharing a card on the My Mum's Craft Shop blog today. Our theme this week is 'Kraft' so I have used lots of it on my card. I have gone all pink and girly to balance out the Black and Kraft and have used the Pure Innocence Sassitude card as my focal image, she reminds me so much of lovely Goddaughter Poppy, and the Cheetah Background stamp to make the animal print background.

The pink paper is by American Crafts and has been in my stash for ages and I used it to paper piece the dress and bow too. The sentiment comes with the image and I added a little heart brad , a paper flower and some stick on gems to finish.

Here is a little close up of the image. I just love her little boots! They are so adorable! I hope you have a lovely Easter Sunday and I will be back later with my Ribbon Girl Colour Challenge card.

Hoppy Easter!

Hello Everyone! I hope you are well and looking forward to Easter. I am on holiday now and am looking forward to spending some time with my Family and doing a bit of decorating in my Boy's rooms.

I have a handful of little cards to share with you today which I made using some of my new stamps. The little bunnies and sentiments are all from the Mama Elephant 'Honey Bunny' set and are simply adorable!

The bunny stamps come with lots of little accessories so you can dress them up. I found it easier to stamp some of the accessories first (like the moustache and carrot), mask if necessary and then line up the bunnies over the top. I coloured the images with my Promarkers and used Carta Bella papers for the lighter cards and some leftover papers for the spotty ones. I finished by adding a little stick on pearl and a little paper rose from Wild Orchid Crafts to each card. I am entering my cards in to the Make the Day Special Challenge. I hope you have a lovely Easter and enjoy the rest of your week.

Another Chester card for the Little Miss Muffet Challenge

Good Morning Everyone! I am back again with another Chester card. This time I have followed the 'Distressing' theme set on the latest Little Miss Muffet Challenge and have distressed the edges of my coloured image panel with distress inks. I have used 'DIY Chester' on my card and coloured him in with alcohol markers before cutting him out with a Dienamics pierced square die.

I used Echo Park papers from an old pad and added a couple of wooden stars, some brads, letter stickers and stapled on some ribbon from The Ribbon Girl. I added a couple of little blue pearls as a finishing touch. I have been busy lately making little Easter cards and I will be back tomorrow to share some with you. Have a lovely Tuesday!

Hello Everyone! I hope you had a lovely Weekend and managed to get out and enjoy some Sunshine.  I am a lot better now and had a little trip to London on Saturday. I went to Kensington Palace to see the exhibition of some of the Queen, Princess Margaret and Diana's dresses. They were all beautiful! I have quite a sunny little card to share with you today which I made with some leftover papers and 'Poorly Chester'.

I coloured Chester in with my Graph'its and added a few simple embellishments. I also added some felt ric rac from my stash.

MMCSDT - A Strawberry Tea Hobby House card.

Hello Everyone! It's my day for posting on the My Mum's Craft Shop blog today and I am sharing a card I made with one of the lovely new toppers from The Hobby House. As you know, I do love my colouring but I also enjoy to use pre-coloured toppers sometimes to make quicker cards.

I have used a topper from the 'Strawberry tea' set which is available here from My Mum's Craft shop. The colours match really nicely with the new BoBunny 'Modern Miss' papers which I also used on my card. I inked around the edges of all the layers and the image before sewing around the edges and putting the card together.

I added a My Favourite Things sentiment onto a little die cut tag and added tape measure ribbon, hessian ribbon, a doily die cut and lots of paper flowers, a strawberry charm and little embellishments to tie in with the sewing theme.

Here is a close up of the lovely topper. She is simply adorable and I love the colour combination that was used to colour her in. I am really looking forward to using the rest of the toppers from this set. I am entering my card in to this month's Hobby House challenge.
I hope you have a lovely Sunday!

A Clearly Besotted Happy Birthday

Hello Everyone! I hope you are having a good week so far. I am starting to feel a lot better now, I think the last course of antibiotics have worked and my chest is finally clearing so I am very happy! I have a little card to share with you today which I made using some of my new Clearly Besotted stamps and dies.

The Bicycle, basket, butterflies and 'happy' sentiment are from the 'Good Times' set and I also used the matching dies.

I used a Martha Stewart punch for the grass. The papers are all from different Echo Park pads. The cloud is a die from my stash and I used the Clearly Besotted 'Birthday' die to finish off the sentiment. I added a little pearl and a paper flower as a finishing touch. There is no stitching or colouring on this card which is unusual for me! I am really enjoying exploring new crafting styles and need to expand my ink collection now! Have a lovely Wednesday!

Mother's Day cards

Hello Everyone! I can finally share the cards I made for my Mum and Mum in Law for Mother's day. My plans to spend time with my Mum the day before Mother's Day were ruined as I was ill. I only got to see her on Saturday. I made both cards using sentiments and papers from Pink Petticoat.

The flower on the first card is available here from The Ribbon Girl and I added some stick on pearls and a lovely green ribbon too and a button.

I decorated the second card with a button from the Ribbon girl and a ribbon and flower from my stash. I think I am finally starting to feel a little better, My X-Ray has come back clear for Pneumonia so I am keeping my fingers crossed my antibiotics work this time and I can get back to normal soon!
Have a lovely Monday!

My Mum's Craft Shop DT - Spring colours

Hello Everyone! It's my day for posting on the My Mum's Craft Shop blog today. Our theme this week is Spring Colours so I used papers from the Echo Park Splendid Sunshine pad as the colours are so bright and zingy and they match the theme of the Pure Innocence image I have used so perfectly!

The stamp set  I have used is 'I'm all ears' and it available here from My Mum's Craft Shop. I coloured the image with my Markers and then paper pieced her dress and ears with some papers from the pad.

I die cut the central panel using a Spellbinders die and sewed a strip of blue paper through the middle. I stamped my sentiment on to a Sentiment strip and added it to the right of my image with foam pads. I also added an eyelet and tied it with some neutral twine.

Here is a close up of my image. I am really enjoying paper piecing at the moment, it's such a fun way to add patterns to the characters dresses.

I made a little carrot embellishment as a finishing touch for my card. I made it by rolling a strip of orange card with a quilling tool and shaping it with a wooden skewer before gluing it. I then added some strips of green card inside that had been fringed with my scissors. I glittered the finished carrot with stickles glitter glue before I added it to the card.

I am entering my card into the My Favourite Things Color Pallette Challenge as I have used the colours below on my card

Have a lovely Sunday!

Baby Baby....

Hello Everyone! I think I might be starting to feel a tiny bit better today! At last! Yesterday was a pretty awful day, I had horrible pains in my back and chest and was not able to move very far from my bed all day. Anyway...onwards and upwards! I have a little card to share with you today which I made a couple of weeks ago when I received my new Word dies from Clearly Besotted stamps. I used the Baby die to cut the word in two shades of blue and then die cut the last one in to the square of white card I used as my central panel.

It was very simple and quick to put together, the hardest thing was getting the spacings right and lining up the words! I added a darker blue cardstock behind the last word. I also added a little blue pearl heart to the centre of the 'a' of the last 'baby'. I hope you have a lovely Friday!

A Magnolia card for several Challenges

Hello Everyone! I am still off work with a poorly chest. I am on my second lot of antibiotics now and have had a chest X-ray as my Doctor thinks I may have a touch of pneumonia on my lung so I am resting in bed as I am very tired. I have been able to craft a little and have been doing lots of blog hopping and was inspired to dust off an old Magnolia stamp to enter a few Challenges.

I used papers from the CartaBella Baby Mine Girl pad which are just beautiful! I think I will be using the whole pad of these. The sentiment is also a Magnolia one which has been in my stash for a long time, I added it to a die-cut Dienamics banner. I added lots of Ribbon Girl flowers and some pretty pink Ribbon Girl lace.

As I used a lot of flowers, I kept the other embellishments quite simple. I added a chipboard button by Crate paper and some wooden Butterflies from Artcuts.

Here is a close up of my coloured in image. I originally coloured her dress in dark pink but it just did not look right so I paper pieced it with a spotty paper from the pad. As a finishing touch, I added some glitter to her crown and wand. I think she looks really cute and I will be digging out some of my Magnolias in the future to have another play.
I am entering my card into the following Challenges:
The Ribbon Girl March Magnolia only Challenge - Girly
The Lovely Hanglar or Sweet Magnolia Challenge - Girls only
Simply Magnolia - Bingo ( I chose Pink/Die-cuts/Flowers)
Sketch Saturday - Sketch #275

I hope you have a lovely Thursday!

I added some Ribbon Girl goodies, including a Cottage flower bloom, spotty button and twine. I hope you will be able to join us for the chance to win a voucher from My Mum's Craft Shop.
