A Clean and Simple Birthday card

Hello Everyone! Apologies for the late post but it has been a busy day and a busy week. It's my day for sharing a card on the My Mum's Craft shop blog today and I have made a Clean and Simple birthday card using the My Favourite  Things Birthday Wishes and Balloons stamp set.

I decided to go Clean and Simple which was a real challenge for me but I am really happy with the finished card. I used 3 different red inks to stamp the balloons first and then added the balloon strings and the sentiment and a tiny heart from the set.
I added some denim paper on to my card and some gingham paper I had in my stash and finished with some paper flowers and stick on gems.
I hope you have a lovely Weekend.

A colourful Beer Monster

Hello Everyone! I hope you are all well. I am popping in quickly today to share a card with you I made for a Friend who recently celebrated their Birthday.

This Pollycraft image from my collection was perfect and I coloured him with my Promarkers to match some very old My Mind's Eye papers from my stash. The sentiment is by My Favourite Things and I accessorised with brads and some hemp ribbon from my stash.

I hope you have a lovely Thursday! I will be working on some Magazine Commissions tonight. I have 5 cards to colour and embellish :-)

MMCSDT: A cute family of Penguins and a very exciting nomination!

Hello Everyone! I hope you are well. It's my day for posting on the My Mum's Craft shop blog today but before I show you my card, I have some very exciting news to share with you. I found out yesterday that I have been nominated for Favourite Card Designer for the British Craft Awards 2016 which take place during the Craft Trade show at the NEC in February. I am so delighted and still very surprised and happy to have been nominated. My Mum's Craft Shop is also nominated so I am thrilled about that too! If you would like to vote you can do so by clicking on the logo below and it will take you to the website.

So exciting!!! Now on to my card. I am trying to get organised and make some more Christmas cards as Christmas is fast approaching! I have nearly finished my shopping but have not made many cards at all. I used the Avery Elle Penguin Greetings stamp set on my DT card for My Mum's Craft shop. I love this set and I think I will be using it for a lot of my cards for Friends and Family this year as I love the way you can use the little penguins together to represent Family groups.

I used the fabulous Doodlebug Sugar Plums papers and an older Paper Smooches sentiment.  I am trying to wean myself off using my sewing machine so much on my cards at the moment so didn't stitch this one and kept the layout quite simple.

I had lots of fun paper piecing the penguin's clothes using matching papers from the pad and coloured the images using my Promarkers. These were very quick to colour in and I then finished the card with some stick on gems and a wooden snowflake. I hope you have a lovely Friday and a lovely weekend.
