Hello Everyone! I can't believe it's been a week since I posted on my blog. I have been very busy lately and have not had much time for crafting or blogging. It's my day for sharing a card on the My Mum's Craft shop blog today and our theme this week is 'Birthdays'. I have made a birthday card for a little boy using one of the adorable 'It's a boy' Hobby House toppers available here from My Mum's Craft shop.
I used papers from the Carta Bella 'Baby Mine' pad and from the Echo Park 'Getaway' pad. I added a sentiment from a Tiddlyinks set and some candy dots embellishments . I also added a bow topped with a button, some wooden stars and finished with some stick on pearls.
Here is a close up of the lovely image which I layered on to a doily die cut from blue paper before adding it to the card. I will be back very soon with my Ribbon Girl DT card.

Ribbon Girl DT for the Ribbon Girl April Challenge - Yellow
Hello Everyone! As promised I am back with my DT card for this month's Ribbon Girl Colour Challenge. Our very appropriate for today colour theme is 'Yellow/Lemon' which took me right out of my comfort zone but I did enjoy the Challenge! I used a little sweetie called Puddle Jumper Fancy Girl from 'By Lori Designs' on my card. She is available here.
The papers I have used on my card are from the Echo Park 'Good Morning Sunshine' pad. I layered them on to kraft and also used a background chicken wire die for my image to sit on.
I used the following Ribbon Girl goodies on my card: Velvet Yellow Berisford ribbon, Sweetheart blossoms, linen button twine, Yellow twill stripe ribbon, bronze star charm, paper daisy, stick on pearls and a Polka dot button.
Here is a close up of my coloured image. I thought she would look really cute with a flower in her hair and little pearl earrings. I hope you will be able to join in with our Challenge and maybe show us your Easter creations. We are sponsored by Lisa and Laila at LOTV and also The Ribbon Girl who are offering one randomly chosen winner two prizes of:

Another Chester card for the Little Miss Muffet Challenge
Good Morning Everyone! I am back again with another Chester card. This time I have followed the 'Distressing' theme set on the latest Little Miss Muffet Challenge and have distressed the edges of my coloured image panel with distress inks. I have used 'DIY Chester' on my card and coloured him in with alcohol markers before cutting him out with a Dienamics pierced square die.
I used Echo Park papers from an old pad and added a couple of wooden stars, some brads, letter stickers and stapled on some ribbon from The Ribbon Girl. I added a couple of little blue pearls as a finishing touch. I have been busy lately making little Easter cards and I will be back tomorrow to share some with you. Have a lovely Tuesday!

A Clearly Besotted Happy Birthday
Hello Everyone! I hope you are having a good week so far. I am starting to feel a lot better now, I think the last course of antibiotics have worked and my chest is finally clearing so I am very happy! I have a little card to share with you today which I made using some of my new Clearly Besotted stamps and dies.
I used a Martha Stewart punch for the grass. The papers are all from different Echo Park pads. The cloud is a die from my stash and I used the Clearly Besotted 'Birthday' die to finish off the sentiment. I added a little pearl and a paper flower as a finishing touch. There is no stitching or colouring on this card which is unusual for me! I am really enjoying exploring new crafting styles and need to expand my ink collection now! Have a lovely Wednesday!

The Bicycle, basket, butterflies and 'happy' sentiment are from the 'Good Times' set and I also used the matching dies.

My Mum's Craft Shop DT - Spring colours
Hello Everyone! It's my day for posting on the My Mum's Craft Shop blog today. Our theme this week is Spring Colours so I used papers from the Echo Park Splendid Sunshine pad as the colours are so bright and zingy and they match the theme of the Pure Innocence image I have used so perfectly!
The stamp set I have used is 'I'm all ears' and it available here from My Mum's Craft Shop. I coloured the image with my Markers and then paper pieced her dress and ears with some papers from the pad.
I die cut the central panel using a Spellbinders die and sewed a strip of blue paper through the middle. I stamped my sentiment on to a Sentiment strip and added it to the right of my image with foam pads. I also added an eyelet and tied it with some neutral twine.
Here is a close up of my image. I am really enjoying paper piecing at the moment, it's such a fun way to add patterns to the characters dresses.
I made a little carrot embellishment as a finishing touch for my card. I made it by rolling a strip of orange card with a quilling tool and shaping it with a wooden skewer before gluing it. I then added some strips of green card inside that had been fringed with my scissors. I glittered the finished carrot with stickles glitter glue before I added it to the card.
I am entering my card into the My Favourite Things Color Pallette Challenge as I have used the colours below on my card

Have a lovely Sunday!

A Glamorous 18th Birthday
Hello Everyone and a Happy Mother's Day to all the lovely Mums out there! It's my day for posting on the My Mum's Craft Shop blog today and I am sharing the card I made for lovely niece Shannon who turned 18 last week. I used the very glamorous 'Posh has a Present' image from Stamping Bella as the image on my card and coloured it in with Promarkers and paper pieced her dress and bag.
The papers I have used are by Echo Park and are from the 'Splendid Sunshine' Pad. I layered them all onto bright pink card and added stitching around the edges. The skinny pink ribbon is a very old one from my stash I bought from Create and Craft when I first started cardmaking. I used 'A La Modes Big Birthday numbers for the 18, cutting them out when I had stamped them onto pink paper. The sentiment is a matching one from the set.
Here is a close up of the image. I love paper piecing the Stamping Bella images and giving them pretty patterned dresses. I finished the card with some flowers from my stash and some stick on gems.
I hope you have a lovely Sunday!

Celebrate!
Hello Everyone! I hope you are well and having a good week so far. I am still suffering with a nasty cough and the remnants of my cold and not getting enough sleep at the moment so I am looking forward to the Weekend already! I have a Clean and Simple card to share with you today which I made using a selection of Echo Park papers from a variety of pads. I love mixing and matching patterns and Echo Park papers lend themselves to this very well.
I used a fabulous My Favourite Things sentiment as the focal point on my card from this very versatile set which is available here from My Mum's Craft Shop. I used some Fishtail banners to stamp the sentiment onto and then added some of my usual stitching to the layers. The Chipboard embellishments were leftovers from a Magazine Commission.

MMCSDT - Spring Flowers
Hello Everyone! I am kicking off a 'Flowers' themed week on the My Mum's Craft Shop blog today. We have been lucky to have some lovely sunshine here this weekend, the daffodils are blooming and Spring is definitely on it's way. To celebrate the lovely weather, I have made a card using some of the lovely new goodies which have arrived recently at My Mum's Craft Shop.
The papers I have used are from the Echo Park 'Splendid Sunshine' pad which is available here. They match the Hobby House 'Summertime' pre-coloured topper so well! I added a sentiment from Paper Smooches 'Scripty Sayings' set which I stamped straight on to the backing papers.
I added a beautiful saddlestitched edge ribbon and lots of paper flowers from the Ribbon Girl around the image and finished with a lovely big button tied with twine and a couple of stick on pearls. I hope you have a lovely Sunday.

I'm back! A new card for the Graph'it Markers Challenge - Denim
Hello Everyone! I am back! That was a very long couple of weeks...I can't believe I haven't posted on my blog since the 10th of January. Needless to say, it took me a lot longer than expected to recover from my hand operation. I am truly on the mend now and am slowly getting back into crafting again. My card today is my first attempt at colouring again so please be gentle with me. I am not 100% happy with my card today but I have to start somewhere. The card I am sharing below if for the Graph'it Marker Colouring Challenge. Our theme this fortnight is 'Denim'.
I have used a fabulous image from the Dollie Daydream Polkadoodles CD on my card. I love her outfit and her hair is amazing! I used Echo Park papers from an older pad and a Paper Smooches sentiment from the 'Scripty Sayings' set.
I added some Dutch Doobadoo die cut embellishments, including the Laser Art A5 Butterflies, Laser Art A5 Swirls and a Kraft Star which I topped with a vintage button.I also added some Ribbon Girl flowers and ribbon and some stick on pearls.
Here are the pens I used for my colouring. I used the Glitter Shake it pen to give her some fun glittery trainers. I hope you will be able to join us for our Challenge for the chance to win a Graph'it colouring DVD. Have a lovely Friday!

My Mum's Craft Shop DT - Thanks
Hello Everyone! It's my day for posting on the My Mum's Craft Shop blog today and I have a Thank You card to share. Now the huge task of making Christmas cards is over I always find myself making a lot of Thank you cards for the lovely presents I received over Christmas.
I love the Pure Innocence 'It's a sign' set which is available here from My Mum's Craft shop as she comes with lots of messages for all occasions. I used papers from the Echo Park Bundle of Joy Girl pad for my card and cut a stiched circle and Fishtail banner using Dienamics to build up my card layout. All that was needed to finish the card was to pop my image coloured with Graph'its on top. I added a little bow tied from twine to the coloured frame and some little flowers as a finishing touch. I hope you have a lovely Sunday.

Playing with Paper and Glue
Hello Everyone! It's the Weekend! I have a fun day of shopping ahead with my Mum and then not much else planned apart from a lot of crafting. I am popping on quickly today to share a couple of cards I made recently using papers from the Echo Park Paper and Glue pad. This has been one of my favourite pads of the year. The papers are perfect for boy's cards and have come in handy for some cards I made to celebrate important milestones for some of the boys in my life.
I made the first card for my Son to congratulate him on his exam results in August. He has now completed his first full week at Sixth Form College and I am so proud of him I could burst! The card has a simple layout and I used Whiff of Joy stamps and a Paper Smooches sentiment.
I made this card for my Best Friend's Son who started Primary School last week. I cannot believe how grown up he is now, it only seems like yesterday I was holding him in my arms when he was a tiny baby, he has grown into such a lovely little boy and seeing him all smart in his School Uniform really made me well up! The image I have used is Lil' Dumplings Brains from Pollycraft and is available here and the sentiment is another Paper Smooches one. I hope you have a lovely Saturday!
