Lucy's Sketches - Sketch 4

Lucy's 4th sketch is available now! I will be quite sad when the Challenge is finished as I am having so much fun playing along. I made a card this morning following the sketch using some scraps from my box and a new Hero Arts stamp I bought before Christmas.

I used My Mind's Eye patterned paper and stitched a strip of Bobunny double dot paper in the middle to follow the sketch. I stamped the sentiment directly on to the dotty paper and then stamped, coloured and paper pieced the image using more Bobunny papers. As a finishing touch, I added 3 little pearls to the top right of the card.
I am off now as I have a busy day lined up!

Loving this white stuff

A quick post today to show you a card I made using an adorable digi image from Di's Digi Downloads which is available here.

I used a paper from a new Bobunny stack which is available from The Funky Farm Scrapbook barn, a nesties Snowflake die which I topped with some flowers cut from tulle and a button from The Ribbon Girl.
Have a good Monday.

A cheeky card for Squigglefly release day

It's Saturday already which means it is Squigglefly release day! I have made so many Christmas cards already as there are so many new Christmas images around. Squigglefly has lots of new Christmas images as part of the latest release.

This fab image is by Chesney Young and is called Official Mistletoe tester. The sentiment is part of the set.
I had lots of fun adding glitter to her outfit and coloured her in with Promarkers. The paper is by BoBunny and is available here from the Funky Farm Scrapbook Barn.
Enjoy the rest of your day!

A new Jane's Doodles image and some sweet digi candy!

Jane is releasing a new image today. These retro tulips are truly beautiful and were lovely to colour in.
I made a simple Thank you card with them after cutting the image out with a Nellie Snellen die.

I coloured the image with Promarkers and then added glossy accents to the petals. I cut a piece of Bobunny backing paper to cover the card base and added an American crafts rub on and stick on pearl. I wrapped the cut card with Organza ribbon before sticking to the card base and topping with the coloured image. As a finishing touch, I added an organza bow with an America crafts button.
Jane is kindly offering all the members of the DT one image to give away so please comment on this post for the chance to win and I will announce the winner tomorrow.

New Willow Sketchie Challenge DT card

It's Willow Sketchie time and this week we have a lovely new download to work with which is available from Willow Designs. We are working with a lovely sketch by Poppy and a recipe:

Something Pink
One Butterfly
A Sprinkling of Fairy Dust Glitter

I used Bobunny double dots paper and some gingham paper I bought from my local Craft Shop. The border punch is Martha Stewart and I punched along both sides of the reverse of the double dots cardstock. I cut out image with a Nellie Snellen die and threaded Bazzill tulle through the holes adding a bow to the bottom topped with Pearls. The sentiment is by Hero arts and the Butterfly is made up with a Martha Stewart punched butterfly on top of a Nesties Butterfly.
Here is the lovely sketch that Poppy put together for us, it was lovely to work with and I think you will have lots of fun creating with it. I hope you will be able to join us for this Challenge for the chance of winning some of Sharon's lovely downloads. Make sure you check out the blog for the rest of the DT's cards and to give a warm welcome to our new team members

Passion for Promarkers Challenge 33 - Sketch and theme

This is the first time I am entering the Passion for Promarkers challenge. The theme for Challenge 33 is 'Love' and there is a lovely sketch to follow. I have often wanted to enter the Passion for Promarkers challenge but never seem to get around to it, I want to enter more Challenges in 2010 so I am starting as I mean to go on.

I used a Magnolia stamped image and sentiment I got from my Friend PetraB before Christmas as a starting point for my card. I coloured it in in red and aqua green colours, I hope it doesn't look too Christmassy!
I used a mixture of papers, DCVW, My Mind's eye and Bo-bunny and the flowery backing paper is from Crate Paper to which I added some Papermania gems.
Here is a close up of my coloured image. I am so pleased with how it turned out! I am really going to concentrate on improving my shading and colouring this year and I am still searching for the best card to work with so any tips are very welcome. The card I used this time is linen texture from my local craft shop and I find it works quite well. I added some glitter glue and some glossy accents to the image after mounting it on the Nesties circle.
Here is a close up of the circle sentiment. I am probably going to give this card to my Hubby for Valentine's day. He is so supportive of my Crafting and has to put up with sleeping in our room with my Craft area in which is normally a total mess (see previous post!!).
Here is the sketch I followed. I decided to use a label shape instead of the diagonally placed rectangle.
Am off to have another look at the snow and to think about tidying my desk!
Have a good evening.

Magnolia Christmas Card

Just a quick post today to share a card I made for my Hubby a few days ago but had not got around to blogging. I used a Magnolia image I received in an RAK from my blog buddy Claire.

The image is coloured with Promarkers and the papers are Bo-bunny and DCWV. The buttons are from Fabricland.
There will be no WOYWW from me today as my desk looks no different than last week. Apart from a burst of crafting on Sunday, I have not got up to much lately as I am still feeling exhausted and was in bed again last night before 8pm. I hope I will have some energy to have a little Craft session tonight.
