MMCSDT - Just because

Hello Everyone! I hope you are well and having a lovely Weekend so far. I went to the horse racing at Ascot yesterday. We were lucky with the weather and not very lucky with the horses but it was a great day out. I am back with my regular Sunday post for the My Mum's Craft shop blog and I have been playing with some of the new Technique Tuesday stamps which arrived this week. I used the 'You did it' set on this card with some distress inks to create the central panel.

I cut out a panel of white card using a Spellbinders die and then blended Spun Sugar, Victorian Velvet and Vintage photo  Distress inks. I stamped some of the flowers using Spun Sugar and Victorian Velvet and the sentiment using brown Archival ink. I added a couple of little pearls and a little wooden button from my stash and layered everything on to some paper from a Bazzill Basics pack.
I hope you have a lovely Sunday!

MMCSDT - A Tiddlinks boy card for Character's week

Hello Everyone! I hope you are having a lovely Weekend. It's my day for posting on the My Mum's Craft shop blog today. Our theme this week is 'Characters' so we will be sharing projects featuring some of our favourite Character stamps. I have always had a soft spot for Tiddlyinks stamps and have a lot of them in my stamps collection but don't ink them up enough! I have used the stamps from the 'My Boys' set on my card today and coloured the image in with my Promarkers to match the Bazzill basics from the Adventures pack.

My new sewing machine arrived this week so I used it for the first time to sew on this card. My sewing was a bit wonky so I went round the image frame twice. I got the hang of it better when I sewed along the edges of the sentiment strip.

Here is a close up of my coloured image. I used a mix of alcohol markers and then cut out the image leaving a small border before adding it to my card. I used the sketch from yesterday's Sketch Saturday Challenge.

I am still trying to join in with more Challenges and Sketch Saturday is one of my favourites! Have a lovely Sunday!

We are hopping to celebrate the arrival of Little Miss Muffet rubber stamps at My Mum's Craft shop! If you are following the hop you should have arrived here from the lovely Fiona's blog. If you get lost along the way, you can go back to the beginning at the Little Miss Muffet blog. I coloured Sonny in to match the lovely Bazzill Basics papers I used and paper pieced her skirt and hat using one of the papers from the pack. I coloured Sonny in with Graph'it markers and Promarkers and cut her out leaving a small border before adding her to the card with foam pads. The sentiment I used is from Paper Smooches. I added some ribbon and lots of lovely flowers from my stash and finished with some stick on pearls and punched Butterflies.

Here is a close up of the lovely Sonny. Thanks so much for stopping by. Your next stop is the lovely Jo! Enjoy the rest of the hop and make sure you leave comments along the way for the chance to win some fabulous Candy! Have a lovely Sunday!

Winter Birthdays Week on the My Mum's Craft shop blog

Hello Everyone! It's my day for sharing a card on the My Mum'sCraft Shop blog today and I am starting off a 'Winter Birthdays' week. I have used some of the gorgeous Bazzill Basics Nordic Pines papers on my card which are a beautiful rich red and have some lovely doilies on them. The stamp I used is Winter Fox from Lawn Fawn and I stamped the sentiment which comes with him onto a Dienamics Snowflake Splendour die cut shape.

I inked around the image which I had coloured in with Promarkers using Tea Dye distress ink and then layered it on to some dark brown card. I added some hessian from the Ribbon Girl behind the image panel.

I then added the sentiment snowflake above the image and another die cut snowflake below which I topped with a button tied with twine. I hope you have a lovely Sunday. I will be working on some card Commissions today and need to pop out to Hobbycraft as my paper cutter blade has decided to go blunt on me at the worst possible time!

New Ribbons and Toppers at My Mum's Craft Shop

Hello Everyone! It's my day for posting on the My Mum's Craft Shop blog today. I have been playing with some of the lovely new goodies which have just arrived at My Mum's Craft Shop and have two cards for you today. Kitty has recently received a huge selection of printed ribbons and toppers which are going to be perfect for your Christmas cards this year. Both cards were very quick to make!

I used Vintage Presents ribbon on my first card and some matching paper from My Mind's Eye. I also added a Paper Smooches sentiment which is from the Christmas Sampler set. I finished with a wooden snowflake from my stash and a stick on gem.
The new Owl toppers are great fun and are already coloured in. They are a perfect match to the Bazzill basics Nordic Pines papers I have used. The ribbon is Christmas Hoot Tawny and I used it as my sentiment. I added another wooden snowflake and some punched Holly leaves to finish. I hope you have a lovely Sunday!

My Mum's Craft Shop DT - A little preview...

Hello Everyone! I have some exciting news to share with you today and a little preview of some new stamps My Mum's Craft Shop will be stocking very soon! I was thrilled when Kitty told us that we would be getting a delivery of Lawn Fawn stamps. I have a couple of Lawn Fawn stamps already so I have made a card using one of them today and some of the new papers that arrived this week.

The papers I have used are from the Bazzil Nordic Pines pad. They are gorgeous and have a lovely texture. I die cut a little aperture for my Owl to sit in after I had coloured him in and cut him out. I added a little strip of ribbon between the aperture and the sentiment and then added a crochet flower topped with an old brad from my stash. I finished with some tiny stamped hearts filled with glitter glue and a stick on pearl. I hope you have a lovely Sunday!

Sugar Nellie DT - Wish Upon a Star

Good Morning Everyone! It's my day for posting on the Sugar Nellie blog today and I am sharing a little card I made following the gorgeous sketch from the latest Sugar Bowl Challenge. I have used the adorable 'Wish Upon a Star' stamp which is available here from Funky Kits. I coloured her in with my Promarkers and added lots of glitter to her wings as the optional Challenge theme is to add sparkle.

I used Bazzil Basics papers from the beautiful Believe stack and layered them onto kraft before sewing around the edges. The ribbon I used to tie my bow is from the Ribbon girl and matches the vintage feel of the papers really well.

Here is a close up of my coloured image, she has such s sweet little face. I love her little box of stars, she looks like she is ready to decorate the Christmas Tree! I added a couple of little sentiment tags and some paper flowers and then finished with some pearls and little gems for extra sparkle!

A cute little pumpkin

Hello Everyone! It's my day for posting on the My Mum's Craft shop blog today and I am kicking off our Halloween inspiration week at My Mum's craft shop with a little shaped card which I have decorated with lots of gorgeous Halloween goodies! I cut my card with a Spellbinders die and layered a doily die cut on top I then stuck strips of Bazzill 'All Hallows Eve' papers together and die cut them into a circle which I sewed onto a black circle leaving a small border.

I wrapped the finished circle with twine and added it to my card base and then stamped and coloured the adorable Pumpkin Beatrice and cut her out leaving a small border before adding glitter to her little stalk hat and adding her to my card with foam pads. The sentiment is from the 'Halloween Sentiments' set and I added some flowers above it, and a little bat die cut and then added a little bow topped with a little wooden button. Make sure you drop by My Mum's Craft shop blog tomorrow for some more Halloween themed inspiration! I am also entering my card into the I love Promarkers Challenge as the theme is Halloween. Halloween treats

As promised, I am back again to share my regular Sunday post which will be published on the My Mum's Craft shop blog. I have been having lots more fun with the lovely Halloween goodies Kitty has in stock at My Mum's Craft Shop this week, I got a bit carried away using the adorable CC Designs Meoples Witches and Goblins set and I have used them to decorate a couple of little treat boxes and a card.

The images are quite small so they were just the right size to decorate these boxes I cut with a Sizzix die. The perfect size to stuff with some little Halloween treats. The sentiments I have used are from the
CC designs Halloween sentiments set and I die cut them with a label die and inked around the edges.

The little die cut bats  have used were cut using a Memory Box Swooping bats die. I added some gems to the larger ones to look like beady eyes!

I'm not sure which one is my favourite, they were so quick to colour in and are just perfect for adding to tags and to personalise your treats this Halloween.

Here is the full set with some yummy sweeties! All the paper are from the Bazzill Basics All Hallows Eve pack.  I hope you are having a good weekend. I will be back soon with the Brand New Ribbon Girl Colour Challenge.
