Celebrate with Anya!

Hello Everyone! I hope you had a lovely Christmas. We are getting ready for the New Year now and are celebrating this week on the My Mum's Craft shop blog with a 'Celebrate' theme week.

I have made a card using the gorgeous Big Anya Celebrates stamp set on my card which comes with some lovely sentiments. I stamped Anya and coloured her in using Graph'it markers before cutting her out and paper piecing the present.

The papers I have used are by My Mind's Eye from the Lost and Found 'Record it Antique' pad. I kept my layout simple and stamped the sentiment on to the backing paper. I added some hemp ribbon and some flowers from my stash and a lovely little wooden button which is available here.
I hope you have a lovely Sunday.

Passion for Promarkers DT - Monochrome image with unusual hair colour

Hello Everyone! It's my team's week for sharing our cards on the Passion for Promarkers blog this week and we have a great theme for you chosen by the lovely Lou. She has chosen:

'Monochrome image with unusual hair colour'

I did panic a little bit when I saw the theme as I do find it quite hard colouring in black and white but I thought my little Anya is quite funky and would look cool with pink hair. I coloured her in shades of grey and pink to match these gorgeous papers by Carta Bella. I used a sketch which I love which I think was featured in a Sugar Bowl challenge recently.

I added a sentiment from an old set I bought from Crafter's companion a few Christmases ago and some ribbon and pearls from my stash and finished with some little flowers from The Ribbon Girl.
I hope you will be able to join us for this Challenge. We have lots of fab inspiration for you from the DT and our sponsor is Joanna Sheen who is offering a £10.00 voucher for the winner.

I hope you have a lovely Tuesday!

Hello!

Hello Everyone! I had a play on my nice and tidy craft desk yesterday evening. I have had this adorable Beanie Anya Greeting Farm stamp for over a year now and finally inked her up for the first time yesterday. I coloured her in to match papers from the Fancy Pants Winterland Pad.

I coloured the image with Promarkers and then matted and layered the gorgeous papers onto dark red card and sewed around the edges with aqua thread. I created a sentiment by stamping Whimsy ticket stamps and a sentiment and then layered up two tickets, added some sewing and some flowers.
I added a Whiff of Joy snowflake topped with a button and a bow tied from some gorgeous pink ribbon, I finished the cards with some paper flowers, some gems and some stick on pearls.
Have a lovely Tuesday!

Happy 40th Birthday Tash!

Morning Everyone! I hope you are all well and having a good week. I am feeling a little under the weather this week and am looking forward to the weekend already! I have a card to share with you today which I made for my lovely Friend and Hairdresser Tash. I have known Tash since our boys went to Beavers together and now they are in the same tutor group at Secondary school. She is one of the funkiest ladies I know so I wanted to make her a really special 40th birthday card.

I had already decided that I wanted to to use bright pink on the card with lots of glitter so I was really thrilled when I found this pink tulle ribbon in my local Craft shop and the rest of the card grew from there. I die cut the letters from the pink glitter card using Sizzix dies and made the rest of my sentiment with a label maker.

I love this cute little The Greeting Farm image an had lots of fun colouring her in. This is the first time I have tried darker hair and I am really pleased with the results. The paper I used is by Kanban and I layered it up with pink and black card and added lots of stitching. I finished with gems and some small bright pink flowers from my stash. I hope you have a great Wednesday!

More Pink!!!

Morning Everyone! You may need sunglasses for this one! I have another pink card for you today! I have been using a lot of pink lately and I love the bright pink on this card. I made this little card with some leftovers from a card I made for a Friend's birthday which I will share with you next week.

I have fallen in love with all my The Greeting Farm cards again after rediscovering them in my boxes, I always loved colouring them in with my Promarkers and I still do! I used some strips of pink polka dot paper around the edges of the card and embossed a square of pink card for the centre. The ribbon is from my stash and the Tulle bow was made from scraps I was going to throw away, I topped it with one of my favourite buttons and a gem. I made the label sentiment on my Dymo machine and stuck it on with a foam pad. The finishing touch was a gem in the little cutie's hair and some glitter glue to give her a sparkly hairband.
Have a great Tuesday!

Pretty in pink for a Mummy to be

Good Morning Everyone, I hope you are having a good Weekend. My Friend asked if I would make a card for her to give to one of her colleagues who is a Mummy to be and is leaving to start her Maternity leave.
I used my The Greeting Farm Mummy stamp again. I love colouring these images, they are so cute! I coloured her in pink this time and used American Crafts and Prima papers with some pastel pink card.

I added a pretty soft pink organza bow and lots of pink flowers and finished with a couple of pink gems.
I hope you all have a lovely day, we are going out today to celebrate my Grandma's 90th Birthday, I hope I manage to make it through the day without any incidents, I have been very clumsy lately, I managed to shut my thumb in a door yesterday and it really hurts today!

A card for a Mummy to be

I have a little card to share with you today I have made for a Mummy to be. This was made for an order I received. I first made a version on this in Pinks and Blues and I was then asked to do another version and was given a choice of colourways to use. I chose orange and green. I don't think I've used this colour combination very often but I think it looks lovely together.

The image is from The Greeting Farm and the sentiment was fro Elzybells. The papers are from my stash and I cut the flowers from felt using a Marianne Design Die. I think the border punch is by EK Success.
I hope you have a good Friday and a good Bank Holiday weekend. I am off to have a mooch around some Charity shops and have coffee with my Hubby.

CES Challenge #29 - Die Cut Crazy

Good Morning everyone! I hope you had a good week and are looking forward to the weekend. I didn't make it to the NEC as planned but I did have some new which made my day yesterday...I have been chosen for a Guest Design Position for Whiff of Joy for April and May! I am so excited and can't wait to get started!
As today is Saturday, we have a brand new Crafty Emma's Store Challenge for you and this week's theme is

'Die Cut Crazy'

I have recently discovered My Favourite Things Die-namics dies and have already accumulated a little collection so this week's theme was the perfect excuse for me to play with them! I used the kite and flat bottom dies for my card.
I made a little shadow bow for the adorable Twirl Anya to rest on while she is flying her kite. I die cut the aperture with a Nestabilities label shape.

The kite was die cut from lots of lovely My Mind's Eye papers and I also used My Mind's Eye papers to create a little scene in the back of the box.

I coloured Anya with my Promarkers, cut off her windmill and added some Baker's Twine for the string coming from the kite. The clouds are also die cut and I stamped them with a Hero Arts sentiment.
I hope you will be able to join us for this week's Challenge for the chance to win an alterable clock kit.

Emma is having a sale in the shop this weekend, with 10% off everything (exc pre-orders, gift vouchers & digital images) until 8am Monday 28th March. Enter the code MARCHSALE at checkout to receive your discount.
Have a great weekend!

Laugh a little!

I am being a good crafter and using up my scraps. I got them all out and had a good sort through them hoping to throw some away but couldn't so I used a few and put them all back :-)

This image was printed out and in amongst the scraps and I thought it matched this Hero Arts sentiment really well. I love this image by The Greeting Farm as she is so much fun to colour in. I used some of my favourite Baker's twine from the Ribbon Girl to hide some stitching which went wrong.
I hope you are all having a good weekend, we went for a lovely walk this morning and are preparing to empty our Garage which is full of rubbish and has been for the past two years!

A birthday card for my Dad.

I promised yesterday that I would share the card I made for my Dad's birthday with you so here it is!

I made a card blank using a Sizzix label die which I topped with some lovely DCWV tartan paper. I added a cute image by The Greeting Farm which I coloured with Promarkers, some twine and a Wild Rose Studio sentiment and finished off with some of my favourite Prima letters.
Have a great Tuesday!

An underwater scene...

Quick share for you today, I had a very busy weekend and did only a little bit of crafting on Saturday morning, we went to a Party on Saturday night and I got a few crafty goodies on a little shopping spree Sunday morning then tidied up my bedroom/craft area so everywhere is spick and span!

I made this card a few days ago when I was having a tidy through my printed digis and stamped images. I couldn't resist glittering the cutie pie Merian's tail. I am a little bit addicted to glitter at the moment!
I paper pieced a scene and stitched around the edges and then added an underwater plant made from paper flowers, pearl stamens and a stick on pearl. The sentiment is by Hero Arts.
Have a great Monday! My youngest Son is starting secondary school today so I will be on edge all day at work hoping he gets on ok!

Pretty in Pink!

I have a very pink card to share with you today which I sent to my talented Blogger friend Becky. I love using lots of texture on my cards and Cuttlebug embossing folders are my favourite. The layout I used for the card is pretty simple. I cut a square piece of pink card to fit my card base and embossed the middle of the panel. I sewed down the edges using a zig zag stitch.

The centre panel is a scrap of Funky Hand card which I mounted on to a felt scalloped edge rectangle. I then sewed through both layers with my machine. I stuck a punched tab behind the panel stamped with a Hero Arts sentiment. I added a The Greeting Farm stamped image and then added a sparkly pink button as a finishing touch. The theme at Quixotic Challenges is embossing so I am entering this card. I love Quixotic Paperie and the Challenges are always great fun, Elaine and her DT make the most amazing cards and Elaine has some fabulous goodies in her shop!
Thanks to all of you who visited my desk yesterday, I ran out of time to get round all the WOYWW desks yesterday but I hope to visit some more before next week!
Have a lovely Thursday.

Mini Greeting Farm cards

I had a burst of creativity on Friday night and ended up making lots of mini cards. I love making these small
cards and I have received an order for some more so it was the perfect excuse to get playing.
Here are a few of them made using The Greeting Farm stamps.

The first card was made with a scrap of Crate Paper backing paper, I used a scrap of Bobunny double dots to mat the image onto. The ribbon was a scrap lurking in a pot on my desk. I coloured the image with Promarkers and the sentiment is Hero Arts. The button is one of the ones I bought last Sunday.
My next card is an underwater scene with Mer Ian. I printed him onto textured card and coloured him with Promarkers adding stickles to highlight the image. I pieced together scraps of Bazzil and American crafts card and matted them on to a scalloped square cut from DCWV card. The little flower is from Prima as are the pearls. The sentiment is by Hero Arts.

I used Ebony to make a funky little card. I used a precut white blank and added Nesties shapes cut from Inspire me and DCWV papers. The little sentiment is from Elzybells and the button was bought from a local shop. I coloured Ebony with Promarkers and added a little glitter to the skull on her T-shirt.
My last card is very cute and girly with Princess Anya coloured with my Promarkers. The backing papers were printed from the Funky Hand Papercraft Factory CD. The sentiment is by Elzybells.
Have a lovely Sunday.

A quick post for today's card. This is a mini card I made Saturday with one of the images you saw on my desk last Wednesday.

I made this little card to pop in a little Birthday parcel for a friend. The pearlescent card is from Rymans, the patterned paper is printed from the latest Funky Hand cd. Ribbon and bling from my stash and the sentiment is Hero Arts.
Have a lovely Monday!

What's on your Workdesk Wednesday

Can you believe it is Wednesday already and time for WOYWW again? I had a very pleasant evening yesterday. The stamps I had bought from Heidi were waiting for me when I got home so after all the things I had to do had been done I sat down to play.
My eldest Son and Hubby went to Football and my youngest begged me to take him to Tesco, he has cabin fever as he has been ill for a week and has not been anywhere apart from his Nanny and Grandad's house. He is going back to school tomorrow. He had 2 weeks pocket money to spend as well and it was burning a hole in his piggy bank.
This is a picture of my desk taken last night, it still looks the same this morning. There are a couple of things on my desk which I bought at Tesco. I just had to buy the little notebook with Cherries on as it matches my blog! I bought 2 really useful boxes to put my stick on gems in and lots of choccie goodies to put in Easter treats.
My new Anya stamps are all over the desk too and some Magnolia stamps I also bought from Heidi.
There is a new butterfly punch on my desk too which I am totally in love with. I could spend hours just making Butterflies!

I bought some new photo paper at Tesco to try with my Promarkers and got mixed results. The memento ink bled a bit on it so I am going to have to try it with my printer and some digi images. I am so used to colouring on textured card, I am not really sure if these look ok. I added some glitter glue to them for a bit of added texture.
So, there you go, I've showed you mine so why not show us yours! If you want to see more desks and fancy showing yours off too, please pop on over to the lovely Julia's blog and join in the fun, be warned though, it's addictive!

Alice in Friday Sketcher's land.....

I'm still in Wonderland with Alice....following my Mad Hatter card, here is one with Alice from the Greeting Farm digi set made following the Friday sketchers sketch by Jacque.
I used Papermania and American crafts papers to create a nice soft pastel background for Alice to rest on.

I coloured Alice and the Mushrooms with my Promarkers. I am going to colour her in brighter strong colours next time but I think she looks cute in pastels too.

I tucked a Prima flower behind the mushrooms to look like grass. The organza ribbon I used is from my stash and the butterfly is from John Lewis.

Here is the lovely sketch by Jacque which was a nice simple one to follow and one I am sure I will use again.
Have a lovely Monday!

You're tea-riffic!

I have had The Greeting Farm Alice in Wonderland images for days now and only got around to colouring them in yesterday. I just love the selection of images and had so much fun colouring them in with my Promarkers.

I decided to colour the Mad-Hatter in really bright colours. Red and turquoise is one of my favourites and it seemed to really suit this image. There is a sketch theme (see below) on the I love Promarkers blog and they are also asking for embossing on the card.

The sketch was really lovely to work with. I used red and aqua plain card and embossed my DCWV aqua strips with a star embossing folder. The spotty paper is by Making Memories and the buttons are from my stash.
Here is a close up of the little Mad-Hatter, I think he looks really cheeky! I love his little stripy trousers too.
The sentiment I used is from Elzybells.
It is Mother's day in the UK today so we will soon be going to my Mum's house for lunch with my Grandma and Nanny.
I hope you have a lovely Mother's day!

Audrey in Bright Green and Mango!

The colour combination on the Passion for Promarkers blog was too tempting to resist this week, Bright Green and Mango, such fresh Springy colours and great fun to use together. I was lucky enough last week to pick up the free digi stamp of Audrey which was available for a limited time as a Birthday treat on the Greeting Farm blog.

I follow Carol's unusual sketch on her Challenge blog this fortnight, the sketch is quite simple and uncluttered so I thought I would team Audrey with some lovely glittered stripey card from the Citrus DCWV stack. The ribbon and buttons are both by Papermania.

I really love colouring in TGF images, I gave Audrey a Mango hat and Bright Green T-shirt. I added some glittery Sakura pen to her necklace and I am really pleased with the colouring of her jeans!
I added a Hero Arts greeting in a Spellbinders star to finish the card off.

I am so glad it is Friday today! We have a busy Weekend of visiting Family and meals out to celebrate Mother's day so I doubt I will have a lot of time for Crafting.
Have a lovely Friday!

Ho ho ho? I don't think so!!!

This is my first ever easel card. I know most crafty bloggers have made dozens of these already but I am running a bit behind. I am blogging this card but it was a complete nightmare to make and has lots of flaws and imperfections. There are smudges, uneven edges, uneven stamping, wonky matting and layering, everything that could have gone wrong did! I was totally clumsy at every stage of putting the card together!

This was made with another of my new Greeting Farm stamps. The papers are Basic Grey scraps leftover from Christmas cards and the charm is from Quixotic paperie. I had to use Stickles to hide some smudging on the hat. The wonky ribbon is from my stash.
I hope you have a lovely evening. I won't be touching anymore of my Craft stash to avoid any more crafting mishaps!
