Citrus Fresh for Cupcake Craft Challenges

Hi Everyone! This card may look a bit familiar...that's because you have already seen a version of it on my blog in a different colour way. I have remade it for an order and chose to use the gorgeous citrus colour combo which is the theme on Cupcake Craft Challenges.

I apologise for the blurry photo, it looks clear before I upload it to my blog then looks all blurry when I add it to the blog post...anyone else having this trouble? The papers I used are by Jillibean Soup and the image is by Sugar Nellie.
Here is the lovely colour combo the Cupcake Craft Challenge ladies have chosen...

Enjoy the rest of your evening!

My last day as a Whiff of Joy GDT

It's my last official day today as part of the Guest Design Team for Whiff of Joy. I have had so much fun playing with the new Whiff of Joy images, I was a huge fan of Whiff of Joy stamps before I joined the GDT but I think I have now have another addiction! I am so grateful that Katharina picked me and these two months have flown by. I can't wait for the next stamp release so I can order some to have a play with myself after seeing all the gorgeous samples from the DT.

I thought I would mark this day entering a card into this fortnight's Whiff of Joy Challenge. There is a beautiful sketch by Manuela to follow and I have used some more of the freebie papers from Simply Cards and Papercraft with some Kraft and some twine, seam binding and a charm from the Ribbon Girl. The flowers are from my stash and the image is the beautiful 'Willow with Strawberry basket' which is available here from Whiff of Joy.

Here is the lovely sketch, another one I will be using again, it's not too fussy which I really like and I love the ribbon tied at the bottom.
Have a great Tuesday!

Pollycraft Monday Challenge - Be My Teddy Bear

It's Monday and time for the Pollycraft Monday Challenge. I am so happy it is a Bank Holiday and I have set aside lots of Crafting time for today, I will be making Wedding and Baby cards. The Challenge theme this week on the Pollycraft Monday Challenge has been picked by the lovely Lynsey and she has chosen 'Be My Teddy Bear' which is perfect timing as Paula at Pollycraft is releasing some adorable new images today, some cute little bears called Spencer and Claudia.

I have used the adorable Ballerina Claudia on my card with some papers I have had in my stash for ages and a gorgeous pink ribbon from The Ribbon Girl. There is no stitching on this card which made it very quick to put together. The little sentiment is by Craftwork Cards and I used a Papermania scalloped blank for my card base.
I hope you will be able to join us for this week's Challenge for the chance to win a full set of Spencer and Claudia images. Make sure you check out the Challenge blog for all the details and some inspiration from the DT!
Have a great Monday!

A Simply Sassy for the Sugar Nellie Challenge

I hope you are having a good Sunday. I have been playing with my new Simply Sassy Stamps and I have decided to try and enter a few more challenges so I thought I would start with this week's Sugar Bowl Challenge which has an optional theme of Birthdays and has a lovely sketch by Maria Therese to follow.

I have used the beautiful 'Missing You' Simply Sassy image and coloured her in to match these gorgeous papers I got free with a Magazine. I distressed the papers and added stitching around the edges after I had mounted them on to kraft card. I added Ribbon and lace from my stash and some pretty flowers and some pearls as a finishing touch.

TSB60MT

Here is the sketch, it's really lovely and I am sure I will be digging this one out again to use on another card. I am also entering my card into this week's I love Promarkers Challenge as the theme is 'pearls'.
Enjoy the rest of your Weekend.

A Sassy Good Luck card

My Son was given his first ever paper round yesterday. We had put him on the waiting list a few weeks ago and he was very lucky that one came up a few streets down from us. We went yesterday to have a chat with the Manager at the Newsagents yesterday and he set off just before 7 to do his first round with one of the current paperboys to learn the ropes. I am sat here nervously waiting his return!

I made him a card last night for him to open this morning to wish him good luck on his first day. I recently treated myself to lots of the Simply Sassy images and I love this one as it looks a bit like my Ryan. I used Echo Park papers, the text one is actually called 'Newsprint', how handy! The letters were from the 12x12 paper pack too.

Here is a close up of my coloured image. I used my Promarkers to colour him in to match the papers. I did lots of crafting yesterday afternoon and made 2 more cards with my Simply Sassy images which I will share with you next week. I am entering this card into the Creative Card Crew Challenge, the theme is 'Anything Goes'.
Have a good Sunday, I am off to Twickenham today for the Rugby.

CES Challenge - Embossing

It's my turn to choose the Challenge theme this week on the CES Challenge blog and I have chosen...Link
Embossing

I love using my Embossing folders on my cards as they add so much texture so easily and are a great way to transform a piece of plain cardstock. I used one of my favourite dot folders on a piece of turquoise card to add to the centre of my card. The patterned paper is by Bobunny and is available here from Crafty Emma's Store.

I stamped a Hero Arts sentiment on to a strip of patterned paper and then stitched this on to a strip of Kraft Card and then stamped and coloured this gorgeous Leanne Ellis image and added this on to a Kraft luggage tag from Whsmiths. I threaded the tag with Vintage seam binding from The Ribbon girl and finished the card with stick on pearls and a gorgeous resin Prima flower.

I also decorated the inside of the card with more embossed turquoise card and more of the gorgeous Bobunny paper.
I hope you will be able to join us for this week's Challenge for the chance to win a voucher from Crafty Emma's store.

Make sure you check out the Challenge blog for all the details and lots of inspiration from the wonderful DT.
Have a great Saturday!

A card for a Mummy to be

I have a little card to share with you today I have made for a Mummy to be. This was made for an order I received. I first made a version on this in Pinks and Blues and I was then asked to do another version and was given a choice of colourways to use. I chose orange and green. I don't think I've used this colour combination very often but I think it looks lovely together.

The image is from The Greeting Farm and the sentiment was fro Elzybells. The papers are from my stash and I cut the flowers from felt using a Marianne Design Die. I think the border punch is by EK Success.
I hope you have a good Friday and a good Bank Holiday weekend. I am off to have a mooch around some Charity shops and have coffee with my Hubby.

Whiff of Joy GDT for the Whiff of Joy Challenge

LinkThe theme this fortnight on the Whiff of Joy Challenge is a colour theme, Aqua, Pink and Cream. They are such lovely soft colours, I thought they would lovely on a New Baby card. I recently treated myself to a nice big package of stamps from Whiff of Joy including the Baby Sentiments
and this beautiful stamp of Willow holding her Baby.

I made a card following the colour scheme using some scraps of Pink Paislee paper and some cream card. I added a bow made from seam binding held together with a white basics brad.
I sewed around all the layers and stamped the sentiment onto the backing paper. I added lots of flowers from my stash and a vintage Mother of Pearl button.

Here is a close up of the image, isn't Willow beautiful? I added some Butterflies around the image and highlighted them with glitter. I loved using this colour scheme and will definitely be using it again.
Have a good evening and Thank You so much for all the lovely comments you have been leaving on my blog.

Whiff of Joy GDT - Be the Hero

Morning everyone, I hope you are having a good weekend. I had a great day yesterday and got lots done, I tidied my shed and took lots of rubbish to the dump, bought summer clothes for my Son, had coffee with my Hubby, dinner with my In-laws and even managed to fit in some crafting!

My new Netbook is up and running and I am using a different photo editing program which I am still getting used to but it seems to do the trick. I made this card last night with the new 'You are my Hero!' sentiment stamps from Whiff of Joy. I printed off 'The Amazing Betty' digi stamp on smooth card and coloured her to match my backing paper with Promarkers. The Kraft card which I embossed is some Fedex packaging from something I received at work Friday :-) I loved the colour and texture and couldn't bear to throw it away! After I had embossed the panel, I stitched it on to some patterned paper and added it to my base card. I stamped the sentiment and cut it out with my Nesties and then added it on to a polka dot red die cut star. I added Betty to the card with foam pads and added some glitter glue to her belt and some glossy accents to her nose. I added a couple of pearls as a finishing touch. I have a commission to finish off today so I will have a busy Crafting day ahead of me!
Have a great Sunday!

No stamping!!!!!

Morning Everyone! I hope you have had a good week, mine has not been the best, I am still on a bad luck run! My trusty netbook has died and I am blogging on the big family laptop while I await delivery of my new Netbook and nothing seems to work properly! I have something a bit different to show you today...a card with no stamping or Promarkers!

My Nan and Grandma will both be celebrating their 90th Birthday's within a few days of one another and I wanted to make them both a really special card. I have made a twisted easel which I covered with black card and Tilda paper with lots of stitching and layers. I also added ribbon from The Ribbon Girl and some fab little Cameo buttons. The die cut Cameo is from Marianne Designs and I love it's simple elegance. The letters and numbers and sentiments are all rub-ons from American Crafts.

I decorated some little gift boxes to put the engraved silver pill boxes I have bought them in and decorated them with flowers and another tiny Cameo.

Have a great Friday!

Copy of Quick Cards Made Easy and stamps to give away!

Hi Everyone! I hope you had a good weekend! I am sat with my feet up on the sofa relaxing, I have had a very busy weekend but a very rewarding one :-)
My Promarker demo day at my local Craft shop was brilliant! It went so well. I was really nervous to start but before I knew it the day was over! I met so many lovely ladies who had so many questions and were just the perfect audience! I was really chuffed as lots of ladies came especially to see the demo and I will definitely be doing another one!

I realised today while doing a bit of tidying that I have a spare copy of Quick Cards Made Easy to give away with the lovely Wild Ones Stamps with which I made some cards which are in the Magazine. I have two more articles in this issue, some very girly cards made with some of the cute Pure Innocence images by Heather Ellis and another with lots of ideas for using buttons on your cards.
Please leave a comment on this post for the chance to win my copy of the Magazine. I will draw a winner next Sunday and I will post Worldwide.

Whiff of Joy GDT - Happy Anniversary

I had scheduled this post to be published this morning but Mr Blogger decided to have an extended sulk and delete my post so I am writing it all over again!
I had to republish another post too and have lost all the lovely comments you left me!
I have card to share with you today which I made using my wonderful Whiff of Joy GDT pack which arrived this week. It was packed full of lovely stamps and pearls and I have lots of fun using them to make this card.

I used gorgeous Bobunny papers, a Martha Stewart punch and some Nesties to build the design for my card with lots of stitching. I think I am finally in control of my new Sewing Machine, it took a while but it seems to like me for now.
I used some mini tags to write part of my sentiment with tiny alpha stickers and a printed sentiment from Pink Petticoat. The pearl brads are available here from Whiff of Joy.

The image I used is 'Together Forever' these little birds were so much fun to colour and I am really looking forward to doing them in a different colourway next time. I stamped them on to textured cardstock and then coloured them with Promarkers. After I cut the image out with my Nesties, I left the paper in the die and inked the edges to get the graded shadow effect. First time I tried this (I know, I am so behind the times!!) I finished the card with lots of flowers and pearls and some glitter glue on the hearts on the banner.
I hope you had a good day and didn't lose too many blog posts!
Have a good evening! My demo day is tomorrow, need to pack my bag tonight and finish labelling my Promarkers!

My final demo card!

Good Morning Everyone! My carpet is starting to dry out this morning and I hope I can have a relatively quiet day with no major dramas! I am having my hair cut tonight so it will nice to get pampered. I did manage a bit of crafting last night and started work on an order for 3 cards but couldn't get my sewing machine out in the chaos so I had to stop.

This is my fourth and final card for my demo in Saturday using a Molly Blooms stamp. I had to keep the layouts of some of the cards quite simple in order to be able to put them together quickly so this one is a super quick make. I coloured the image using my Promarkers (of course!!) and all the stash apart from the sentiment is from my local Craft shop.
Have a great Wednesday and thank you for all the lovely comments you have been leaving, I hope to get round and catch up with you all soon.

Hugs...

Hello everyone, I hope you have had a better day than me! I have another one of my demo cards to show you today, I love this Wild Rose Studio image, everyone needs a teddy bear hug once in a while!
I will be making this card at the Promarker demonstration day on Saturday at my local Craft shop, all the supplies are from the shop. I have had a day full of dramas, it started with my netbook playing up, I updated my web browser and then it would not load at all! Luckily I managed to fix it by Googling the problem and finding a solution.

Later on, I spoke to my Hubby who said that we had a leak somewhere at home as there was water in our carpet in the Living Room, when I came home, there was water everywhere seeping from underneath the lino in the kitchen from a leaking pipe behind the cupboards! It's all fixed now and we just have to wait for everything to dry out before we put everything back! Luckily my Whiff of Joy GDT pack arrived today so I have lots of lovely stamps to play which will help to cheer me up! I hope you have a good Evening!

Pollycraft Monday Challenge - Boyz to Men

Morning Everyone! I hope you are all well and had a lovely weekend. Mine was very relaxing, I saw my Family, did a bit of shopping and had a lovely lunch with my Hubby :-) It's Monday already which means we have brand new Challenge theme on the Pollycraft Challenge blog. This week the lovely Joanne has chosen the theme 'Boyz to Men' so I have made another Father's Day card using the adorable little Chester.

I made an easel card using some of the fabulous new My Mind's Eye papers. I LOVE them! This star paper is just perfect for Men's cards.

I coloured Chester in with my Promarkers and cut him out before adding him to my card with foam pads. I used a Hero Arts sentiment and letter stickers, one of my favourite buttons and some Prima letter stickers to spell out 'Daddy'.
The finishing touch was some glitter glue on the heart.

I hope you will be able to join us for this week's Challenge. We are sponsored by the Secret Crafter this week and if you take part in the Challenge you will have the chance to win 3 digis.
Make sure you check out the Challenge blog for all the details and some wonderful inspiration from the DT.

Inspired by Lucy

I was asked recently to make a card for a baby boy and took inspiration from this gorgeous card by Lucy for my layout. I bought the Hero Arts fox stamp after seeing it on Lucy's wonderful blog. It is so adorable!

To make the card, I cut a card blank from pale blue card with a Grand Scalloped Nestie. I cut a square of kraft card to fit the card blank and then stamped in Versamark with a Hero Arts polka dot stamp. I sewed around the edges and then added it to the card base. I created a sentiment using Thickers and Making memories stickers and stamped the little fox on to gingham paper before adding it to the card with foam pads. The finishing touch was a little black pearl for the fox's nose.
Have a great Sunday!

Whiff of Joy GD - Silver Wedding Anniversary

Morning everyone! I was asked this week if I could make a Silver Wedding Anniversary card for a Friend at work to give to his wife. He gave me the colour scheme and I gave him some images to choose from and I was delighted when he picked 'Charlotte and Charly Waltzing' which is available here from Whiff of
Joy.

I realised when I was making the card that I never really use purple on my cards so this was a bit of a Challenge for me, I never use Mirri card either anymore so the finished card in not really in my usual style. I ran out of room for stitching once I had added the sentiment so the card feels a bit 'naked' to me.
Once I had printed the image, I coloured it in with Promarkers and then cut it out leaving a small border. I apologise for the wet glitter glue in the photo but I ran out of time so had to take a photo while it was still wet!
I finished the card with some organza ribbon, a flower and some gems. I have to deliver it today so I hope it will be ok!
Have a good Friday!
