My Mum's Craft Shop DT - Anyone need a free hug?

Hello Everyone! I have  another Saturated Canary card this week for my Mum's Craft Shop DT post. This image is my favourite of all the Saturated Canary stamps which recently arrived at My Mum's Craft Shop. I think she has beautiful eyes and I love her hair as well. She was really lovely to colour in.

I used papers from the gorgeous Glitz Design 'Hello Friend' paper pad which is available here from My Mum's Craft Shop. I also added some of the beautiful Hobby House roses and stick on pearls.

My image was coloured with Promarkers and I added stitching around all the edges of my layers.
I hope you have a lovely Sunday! I will be playing with some of the new Christmas stash which I ordered this week, make sure you check out the new Products section of the website for some fabulous new goodies to get you started on your Christmas cards.

Little Miss Muffet DT - What's that coming over the hill?

...is it a Monster? is it a Monster?? Good Morning Everyone! That song has been bugging me ever since I saw the fabulous new 'Build a Monster' release at Little Miss Muffet Stamps. There are new Monster images available from today as well as lots of Monster Body parts to allow you to build your own Monster! I had lots of fun playing and made quite a few but here are two to start.

I used some Echo Park papers 'Boy's Life' on my first card and coloured my image with Promarkers to match. The sentiment is an old Pollycraft Rubber stamp I bent to fit the circle. The die cut stars are Dienamics and the cog shape is a Spellbinders die.

My second card was made using scraps of October Afternoon papers and an old sentiment from my stash. I added some funky stripey buttons to tone in with the papers. Make sure you check out the Little Miss Muffet blog for lots of inspiration from the DT! Have a lovely Thursday!

A Sparkle and Shine Tag

Hello Everyone! It's my day for sharing a Project on the Sugar Nellie blog and today I am showing a tag which I have embellished with one of the lovely new digi images which were recently released at Funky Kits. I really enjoy making tags as a little break from Christmas cards and they are great for adding to last minute gifts.

This little cutie is called 'Sparkle and Shine' and is available here from Funky Kits. I added Echo Park 'A Very Merry Christmas' papers to cover my tag layered onto red card and I added stitching around all the edges. My image was coloured with Promarkers and I then cut it out leaving a small border.

The sentiment I used is a Bazzill rub on and I added some little flowers and a wooden button and finished with some gingham ribbon and a snowflake charm. I hope you have a lovely Wednesday!

Sugar Nellie DT for the Sugar Bowl Challenge

Good Evening Everyone! I am a bit late posting to my blog today! I have been feeling under the weather this week and have been really sleepy in the evenings so have fallen behind with my DT work this week. I woke up feeling a bit better today and had a massive crafting session and got lots of cards made. I have been playing with some of the gorgeous new digi stamps that were released recently at Sugar Nellie and followed the latest sketch from the Sugar Bowl Challenge to make my card.

I used some old Bobunny papers which I hope fit in with the optional Vintage Turquoise theme. They have lots of lovely glitter on them and I layered them onto turquoise card and added lots of stitching around the edges. The image I have used is called 'Gingerbread cookies' and is available here from Funkykits.

I coloured the image with my Promarkers and then added glitter to the wand and the snow. I inked around the edges of my cut out image and then stamped with some of the smaller image stamps from the Personal Impressions Warm Winter Wishes set. The sentiment is also from the same set. I used Whiff of Joy snowflakes to embellish my card and some flowers from my stash and finished with some gems and stick on pearls. I am off to Alexandra Palace to the Big Stamp and Scrapbooking Show in the morning. I can't wait! I have been saving my pennies and am looking forward to seeing some of my crafty Friends and seeing some demos and buying some new goodies! I hope you have a lovely Weekend!

Little Miss Muffet DT - Firefoot

Good Morning Everyone! It's time for a brand new Little Miss Muffet Challenge today and the theme this fortnight is 'Anything but a Square/Rectangle'. As you can see, due to a little mix up on my part my card for this Challenge is actually a square! That will teach me to read more carefully and double check things before making my cards in future. We do accept 'Anything Goes' entries into our Challenge as long as you use a Little Miss Muffet stamp though so my card is an ideal opportunity to remind you all!

I have use the very sweet Firefoot on my card with papers from My Mind's Eye. I added lots of stitching and a lovely gingham ribbon. I accessorised with some lovely flowers, gems and a little punched butterfly. Make sure you check out the Challenge blog for lots of inspiration on the correct theme from the DT.
Have a lovely Thursday!

Passion for Promarkers DT - Clean and Simple.

Hello Everyone! I hope you are having a good week so far. Sorry I am a little bit late with my Passion for Promarkers DT post today. I thought I had scheduled it but it was not even written up yet. We have a great theme for you this week. Our theme this week is 'Clean and Simple' and the DT have some great cards to share with you.

I have kept my card very simple using no backing papers and just sewing my image panel onto a rectangle of red card. I hope you will be able to join us for this week's Challenge. We have a fab sponsor as usual.
Our sponsor this week is Joanna Sheen and one lucky winner will receive a £10.00 to spend in her online store. Don’t forget there is free p&p when you spend over £9.00 and super fast delivery as standard!

Ribbon Girl DT - September Colour Challenge - Green and Pink

Hello again! This is my last blog post today...I promise! I am back to share my DT card for this month's Colour Challenge on the Ribbon Girl Blog. Our colour theme this month is....

Green and Pink

I knew straight away which image I wanted to use for this Challenge. I have been wanting to colour the lovely 'Lollipop' from Little Miss Muffet in bright sugary colours for a while and I thought she would be perfect with this fun sentiment from Pink Petticoat. However, it took me ages to select my papers and I settled eventually for some American Crafts papers I had left over from a Commission. I nearly had all my paper stash on the floor trying to make a decision!

The cloud paper is a vellum and I mounted it onto white card. I used a Martha Stewart Punch to cut a strip of grass and tucked some Ribbon Girl mesh behind it before die cutting it and sewing it onto a pink circle. I added some clouds cut with a Dienamics die and lots of beautiful flowers from The Ribbon Girl.

I added a tiny bow tied from gingham onto the lollipop stick and a larger gingham bow tied from Bias binding. The red and pink were staples in my craft stash so I was delighted when more colours started to arrive at the Ribbon Girl. I topped this with a flower after I had pulled out the centre and added a button instead. I finished with lots of stick on pearls around the edge of my card scallops.
I hope you will be able to join us for this Challenge.

We have lots of fabulous inspiration from the DT on the Challenge blog and some great prizes as usual..

A £10 gift voucher from the very generous ladies at Lili of the Valley...

...and a Green Mini Makes Kit from Ribbon Girl

Enjoy the rest of your Weekend!

Halloween treats

As promised, I am back again to share my regular Sunday post which will be published on the My Mum's Craft shop blog. I have been having lots more fun with the lovely Halloween goodies Kitty has in stock at My Mum's Craft Shop this week, I got a bit carried away using the adorable CC Designs Meoples Witches and Goblins set and I have used them to decorate a couple of little treat boxes and a card.

The images are quite small so they were just the right size to decorate these boxes I cut with a Sizzix die. The perfect size to stuff with some little Halloween treats. The sentiments I have used are from the
CC designs Halloween sentiments set and I die cut them with a label die and inked around the edges.

The little die cut bats  have used were cut using a Memory Box Swooping bats die. I added some gems to the larger ones to look like beady eyes!

I'm not sure which one is my favourite, they were so quick to colour in and are just perfect for adding to tags and to personalise your treats this Halloween.

Here is the full set with some yummy sweeties! All the paper are from the Bazzill Basics All Hallows Eve pack.  I hope you are having a good weekend. I will be back soon with the Brand New Ribbon Girl Colour Challenge.

Hello Everyone! It's my day for posting on the Sugar Nellie blog today. I am starting to feel a bit Christmassy again! After the fabulous new 'Sparkle and Shine' digi release at Funky Kits last week, I am full of Christmas inspiration and decided to have a play with one of my favourite Christmas stamps from last year. You still have a couple of days to take part in the latest Whiff of Joy Challenge. The theme this fortnight is 'All White' which I found quite hard as I do love my colours! I decided to make a card with a snowy theme and lots of texture. Little Miss Muffet DT Challenge - Writing/Add a book page

Hello Everyone! It's time for a brand new Challenge on the Little Miss Muffet blog today and we have a great theme for you this fortnight, we want to see some Writing on your cards and project, you can do this either using text papers, stamps or book pages. It's up to you! I often pick up old books in Charity shops ready to be altered or to use on my cards so I have decided to use a page from an old story book as backing paper on my image topper and also to punch out a tiny Butterfly.

I have used Luna Bitterfrost - Stars Rock on my card and she is available here from Little Miss Muffet. She has always been one of my most favourite all time images so I chose her for my watermark too. I coloured her in with my Promarkers to match the Basic Grey papers I used which are from the What's Up pad. They are a really unusual mix of colours for me to use so I was a bit worried putting my card together but hopefully it all works. I added lots of paper flowers from various places, some pins, some punched Butterflies and a sentiment by Lili of the Valley and finished with some little gems. I hope you will be able to join us for this Challenge. We have some great inspiration for you from the DT! Make sure you check out the blog for all the details! Have a lovely Thursday!
