Hello Everyone! I have decided to enter the
Some Odd Girl Guest DT call for November and December. To enter the call, you have to choose 3 of your favourite Some Odd Girl cards, I couldn't choose from the ones I have on my blog so here are 3 new ones! My first card was made using the sketch from the
latest Challenge and the adorable little Tortoise from the
'Hey Kaylee' set.
I coloured my image with Promarkers to tone in with the Simple Stories papers I used on my card. I used a Dienamics banner die to cut the sentiment strip and kept the layout simple and uncluttered to fit in with the sketch.
I just love this little tortoise, I think he would look adorable on a new baby card. I used some of the new Promarker colours and some Flexmarkers to colour him and then cut him out leaving a small border before adding him to the card with foam pads.
My next card is a shaped one cut with my Spellbinders, I love making shaped cards and I thought
'Tiny Baker Tia' would look sweet on a mini shaped card. I used Echo Park papers and stitched around the edges of my image panel which I stamped with the sentiment which comes with Tia.
I added a little cherry charm to match the cherry on top of Tia's cupcake and some flowers from my stash.
Here is a close up of my coloured image, she was so much fun to colour in with my Promarkers and Flexmarkers. I cut her out leaving a small border and then added her to my card with foam pads. I finished with a little gem next to the sentiment.
My last card was made with the very beautiful
'Thank You Mae' and more Simple Stories papers I bought a few weeks ago at Ally Pally. I love the mix of patterns in this pad and coloured Mae in lovely bright colours to match them.
I layered up different papers onto gingham and added stitching around the edges. I added a gorgeous black and cream gingham ribbon and a resin and paper flower from The Ribbon girl.
Here is a little close up of Mae. I love her cute little pumps and her little bolero and she has such gorgeous eyes. So....these are my cards and now the hardest part..Kristy and her team would like to know why I think I would be a great Guest Designer...Well... I really love colouring and the Some Odd girl stamps are so beautiful to colour and I love using my favourite bright colours on them, I absolutely adore all the stamps and digis! I really admire all the talented 'Odd Girls' and would love the chance to be a part of the team for a little while and to be able to share my cards on the Some Odd Girl blog with all the other Odd Girls and spread the Odd Girl love! Wish me luck!
Have a lovely Friday!
Jane
