Celebrate with Anya!

Hello Everyone! I hope you had a lovely Christmas. We are getting ready for the New Year now and are celebrating this week on the My Mum's Craft shop blog with a 'Celebrate' theme week.

I have made a card using the gorgeous Big Anya Celebrates stamp set on my card which comes with some lovely sentiments. I stamped Anya and coloured her in using Graph'it markers before cutting her out and paper piecing the present.

The papers I have used are by My Mind's Eye from the Lost and Found 'Record it Antique' pad. I kept my layout simple and stamped the sentiment on to the backing paper. I added some hemp ribbon and some flowers from my stash and a lovely little wooden button which is available here.
I hope you have a lovely Sunday.

Graph'it Markers DT for the Graph'it Challenge - Happy New Colour!

Hello Everyone! I hope you had  a lovely Christmas Day and Boxing Day. My blog has been rather neglected lately as I was running behind with my Christmas preparations but I hope normal service will be restored soon! It's time for a brand new Challenge on the Graph'it Marker Challenge blog today. Our theme this week is 'Happy New Colour' we are challenging you to use a new colour!I chose Yellow as my colour I wouldn't normally use to create a lovely golden coat for the lovely Labradors on my card.
I rarely use yellows but  I love the rich gold you can create with the Graph'it markers. I will be sure to use this colour combination again for hair and animals.  I used just three colours to colour in the dogs: 1250, 3110 and 3140. The images are from Little Miss Muffet and the sentiment is a Paper Smooches one
Make sure you check out the Challenge blog for lots of fabulous inspiration from the DT!
Have a lovely Friday!

MMCSDT - Bags and boxes week on the My Mum's Cratt shop blog

Hello Everyone!  I am kicking off another themed week this week on the My Mum's Craft shop blog. We will be showing you bags and boxes this week, ideal as a last minute Christmas present when filled with yummy chocolates!

I used a Sizzix die to cut my box shape from Kraft and then added papers from the Echo Park Keepin' Cozy pad which I had layered onto red card before stitching around the edges. I added a layered snowflake cut using Joy Crafts dies . I added a large sparkly embellishment on top and tucked a Paper Smooches sentiment underneath.

Here is a side view of the finished box. I covered all the sides of hte box using different patterned papers and added a couple of little stick on pearls and a gem to finish. I hope you have a lovely Sunday!

Making Backgrounds for the Graph'it Marker Challenge

Hello Everyone! It's time for a brand new Challenge today on the Graph'it Marker Challenge blog. The theme for the team this week was to make backgrounds using Mix it Fluid. This was so much fun! I used 4 different shades of Graph'it Markers to create a snowy sky background for my cute little Polkadoodles snowman. I used the broad nib to draw wide stripes which I blended together and then sprayed with the mix it fluid to create a mottled effect. I then added dots for the snow using the glitter Shake it embossing pen

Graph'it Markers used:
Sky: 7260,7240,7220,7210
Red: 5245, 5220, 5210
Green: 8270, 8260, 8220
Snow: Shake it glitter embossing pen

I hope you will be able to join us for this Challenge! Have a lovely Friday!

A Dienamics Happy Birthday

Hello Everyone! It's my day for posting on the My Mum's Craft shop blog today and I am showing a card I made using some of the latest Dienamics dies which arrived recently at My Mum's Craft shop. I made a card for my Husband's birthday which was at the end of last month. I used My Mind's Eye papers and created a simple layout adding a centre panel cut with the Pierced oval die.

I cut the sentiment using the new Dienamics 'Happy Birthday' die and added it to the card using glue.
I added a Craftwork cards label to the top left.

I added a few brads from my stash and a wooden heart and stick on pearls. I also added a lovely little heart button which is available here. I hope you have a lovely Sunday, I will be back soon with my Ali-Craft post, I am still not feeling great after my flu so am running behind with everything!

A late post....one card for two Christmas Challenges

Hello Everyone! I am finally here with a card I should have posted on my blog on Sunday for the Ribbon Girl and My Mum's Craft Shop Christmas Challenges.I have been laid up in bed with flu since last week and am finally starting to feel a little bit better. Both Challenge themes are Christmas so I used gorgeous stamps and papers from My Mum's Craft shop on my card and lots of gorgeous Ribbon Girl goodies to embellish it.
The stamp I have used is the Wild Rose Studio 'Bluebell Looking' which is available here from My Mum's Craft Shop. I coloured Bluebell in using a mix of alcohol markers and then added some stickles and gems to the image. I used My Mind's Eye papers from the Mistletoe Magic pad and added some stitching around the edges. The sentiment is by Paper Smooches and is available here.
I embellished with lots of gorgeous flowers, ribbon and pom pom trim from the Ribbon Girl as well as a heart shaped button and some lovely stick on pearls. I hope you will be able to join in with both Challenges for the chance to win some fabulous prizes! Have a lovely Wednesday and I hope normal service will be resumed on my blog soon!
