My Mum's Craft Shop DT - Thanks a Latte

Hello! I cannot quite believe it hs been over 3 months since I last blogged a card. I am back today and hopefully will be updating my blog on a more regular basis. I have continued to design for Quick Cards Made Easy during my absence and am returning to my DT position at My Mum's Craft Shop today which Kitty very kindly left open for me. I have had a very busy and eventful time over the past 12 months and have been on a rollercoaster of emotions which have intefered with my desire and ability to craft but life is a bit more settled now and I am very happy. I moved house in July and crafted for the first time yesterday in my new craft area. I was very inpsired by the wonderful 'Your Next Stamp - Thanks a Latte' stamp set which you can find here at My Mum's Craft Shop.

I paired the stamps with papers from the My Favourite Things Fresh Squeezed Chevron pad. I paper pieced the coffee cup and added some shading to the lid with distress inks before adding to a die cut circle and adding it to my simple layout.

I added some embellishments I found in my stash, including some of my favourite wooden stars from Artcuts. The tiny paper flower is from Hobbycraft and the fabric flower is from the Ribbon Girl as are the stick on pearls.

I am feeling a little bit rusty and it took me a while to organise myself and find all the things I needed in my stash but this will get easier once I have re-organised my supplies. As you know, I was very lucky to have a Craft Room in my old house. I no longer have  a dedicated craft room but am very lucky to have a massive cupboard under the stairs which my lovely and very clever Boyfriend has fitted with lots of shelves so everything has a place.

This is my new craft desk in the corner of my Dining Room. My new Home is a Victorian terrace with beautiful high ceilings so the alcove has been filled with shelves which hold all my papers, ribbons and flowers. It's vey cosy and once I have made a couple of adjustments it will be the perfect place to craft.

This is the view from my Craft desk, The shed you can see at the bottom of my garden was rescued from my Grandma's garden after she passed away earlier this year. It's a lovely reminder of days spent playing as a child in her garden.

I hope you have a good Friday and a lovely weekend and I promise I will be back soon.

  2. It's so lovely to see you again. Your beautiful craft space looks SO inviting (alas, mine still looks like a car crash). I love how your desk looks down your garden to your grandma's shed. Mine looks down the garden to my chickens and is one of the things I most like about it. I can open the window and listen ot my girls "chatting" and clucking away and all feels right with the world. Love your coffee card a latte ;oD Good to have you back.
