My Mum's Craft Shop DT - Die cut heaven!

Good Morning Everyone! It's my day to share a project on the My Mum's Craft shop blog and today I have  a card to show you which I made with 2 of my favourite Dienamics dies and a pre-coloured Kenny K die cut.

The papers I have used are by Fancy Pants from the 'Be You' pad which is available here from My Mum's Craft shop. The papers were layered onto pink card which I also used for die cutting the Dienamics shapes.
I cut the frame around the image free hand with my small scissors. I added lots of gorgeous flowers from my stash and a shiny satin ribbon topped with a gingham button and finished the card with some lilac gems.
Have a great Thursday!

Sugar Nellie DT - Spots and Dots

Good Morning Everyone! It's Wednesday and my day to share a card on the Sugar Nellie Blog. I couldn't wait to make a card and join in with the Sugar Bowl challenge when I saw Cathy's fabulous sketch. The optional theme for this Challenge is Spots and Dots. If you are a regular visitor to my blog you will know how much I love polka dots so it was a real treat to be able to use lots of these on my card.

I used papers from the Teresa Collins Spring Fling pad. The colours of the papers are so rich and the red reminded me of strawberries so I just had to use the Sugar Nellie Manga 'Strawberry Patch' image which is available here from Funky Kits. I coloured the image with my Promarkers before cutting it into a rectangle and mounting it on kraft card.

I used a Fiskars border punch for the centre strip and the sentiment is by Whimsy stamps. I also added some flowers and a lovely spotty ribbon from my stash topped with a spotty button from The Ribbon Girl.

Here is the lovely sketch by Cathy, I will definitely be using this one again! Make sure you check out all the fabulous cards by the Sugar Bowl Design Team on the blog, if you are inspired to take part, you may win some gorgeous Sugar Nellie stamps.
I am also entering this card into this week's Passion for Promarkers Challenge as the theme is Ribbons and Buttons and I was thrilled to see that my card last week made the top five so I am officially a top 5 Passionista :-)

My Mum's Craft Shop DT - A cute little artist

Good Morning Everyone! It's an early post from me today as I will be getting the train to Birmngham soon to go to the Craft Show at the NEC, I can't wait! I received a lovely parcel of papers from My Mum's Craft shop this week and had lots of fun playing with them to make this card.

I really like making small shaped cards with my Nestabilities and used kraft card to make this one and then layered up some aqua cardstock with some of the bright Bazzil Basics Avalon papers which are available here from My Mum's Craft Shop. The papers are fabulous and have a great texture to them. I added a little strip of Aqua pom poms from my scraps tin and then added my coloured Pure Innocence 'You colour my world' image on top with foam pads. The sentiment was cut out with a label die and I accented it with a small paper rose. Right! I'd better go off and get ready!
Have a fab Saturday!

Whiff of Joy Release day - Dad is the best!

Hello Everyone! I am back with another card today for the latest Whiff of Joy release. The fabulous 'We are Family' stamps and dies are available from today in the Whiff of Joy shop. It has been hard for me to choose a favourite as I am a huge fan of the adorable Henry Mouse so it is a real treat to have so many new Henry stamps to play with.

I am still working my way through my scraps basket so create a simple layout on layered on Kraft using some October Afternoon and Echo Park papers which I wrapped with some green spotty ribbon before adding to the card base. The stamp I have used is called 'Dad is the best' and I coloured it in with my Promarkers before die cutting it into a square and adding it to a Nestabilites postage stamp die which is available here. The sentiment I used is by Hero Arts and I added a little red spotty button from The Ribbon Girl. I have been making exciting plans today for my day at the NEC Saturday, I will be meeting up with Mary and Andrea from The Ribbon Girl, my blog buddy Deirdre who is going along with my WOJ teamie Sandie! Good Morning! I can't believe it is Thursday already, this week is going really fast! For my weekly post on the My Mum's Craft Shop blog, I have a card to share with you made using some of the beautiful new First Edition Boho Chic papers which are available here from My Mum's Craft Shop. The papers in this pack are gorgeous and so feminine and pretty. I love the woodgrain paper and stripes in particular that I have used on my card today.

The card base I used is a smaller scalloped edge card by Craftwork cards  they are a great size for quick cards and the perfect size for this adorable stamp called Roll with it from My Favourite things in the Pure Innocence range which is available here.
I teamed the papers with some gorgeous ribbon and some paper flowers and die cut the sentiment into a label shape before mounting it with foam pads. I added a couple of stick on pearls as a finishing touch. I hope you have a lovely Thursday!

Hello Everyone! I hope you are having a good week! I made up my mind today that I will be going to the NEC on Saturday so I am really looking forward to the weekend now! The other two patterned papers are also from the same October Afternoon pad and I added a sentiment by SRM stickers mounted onto kraft and a little resin star I found when I was tidying up. I added glossy accents to the plane, goggles and some glitter to the little bee's wings too.

Whiff of Joy new release preview - Baby Henry!

Good Morning Everyone! I hope you are ready to say 'aaaaahhhhh' as I have a realy cutie to share with you today! Whiff of Joy is releasing some new stamps next Thursday and they all feature some adorable Baby and Toddler Henrys. My favourite is the Baby Henry stamp so I have chosen to use him for my first preview card.

I had to make a New Baby card for a work colleague this week so it was perfect timing for me to play with my new stamps. I created a simple layout layering gingham paper onto kraft and then onto aqua card and sewing around the edges. I used an SRM sticker for the sentiment and some tiny alphas for the name.

The gorgeous Ribbon is from The Ribbon Girl and the twine is from Whiff of Joy. To make the date of birth tag, I printed first onto copy paper, die cut a tag then stuck this to the paper with removable tape and run through the printer again. The little heart charm has been in my stash for ages!
Make sure you check out the rest of the DT blogs for some lovely cards made using the new images! Have a great Friday!

Sugar Nellie DT - Alice

Good Morning, it is my turn to share a Ribonita card on the Sugar Nellie blog today as part of our Ribonita Feature Week. I simply adore the new Ribonita stamps that were released this month at Funky Kits and Alice has to be my favourite. I have so many ideas for Projects she will be perfect for! This time I have made an aperture card and placed Alice on the front.

I used my die cutting machine to make the aperture when I had layered up all the papers on the front of the card and then cut a frame using the same circle die and a scalloped circle.

I coloured Alice using my Promarkers and then cut her out and added her to the front of the card with little dots of glue.

I decorated the inside of the card using some more papers from the My Mind's Eye Miss Caroline Dilly Dally pad and a Penny Black sentiment die cut into a label shape.

You can see all the gorgeous new Ribonita stamps here at Funky Kits. Make sure you pop over to the Sugar Nellie blog too and leave a comment for the chance to win some yummy candy. Have a great Wednesday!

Pollycraft Monday Challenge - A lovely sketch, a freebie and some new releases!!

Good Morning Everyone! Did you have a good Weekend? It is back to the old routine for me today with Work after my week off in Dorset. I would much rather be popping out for coffee and a cake and a nice walk on the beach than going to work but I need to earn my crafting pennies somehow!
We have lots of exciting news for you today at Pollycraft. For starters, we have a fabulous sketch by the very talented Paula for our weekly Challenge, there is a freebie - Ferguson the Hedgehog - who I have used on my card and last but not least, Paula has released some adorable new images, including a brand new little Squirrel and some new Swings and Slides Spring images! Phew!! That is a lot for a Monday!

As I said, I have used today's Freebie for my card which I made using some gorgeous Echo Park papers from the Graceful pad which are available here from My Mum's Craft shop. The green patterned paper was a scrap from my scraps basket. I followed the sketch and distresses the edges of the layers before adding my stitching.

I added some flowers, a little bow and some gems from my stash and coloured Ferguson with my Promarkers, distressing the image with distress inks before removing it from the die.
I hope you will be able to join us for this week's Challenge. Our sponsor this week is Bunny Zoe Crafts.

Whiff of Joy DT for the Whiff of Joy Challenge

Hello Everyone! I hope you are all well and having a good Weekend. I got back yesterday from a week away with my Hubby in Dorset, we had a wonderfully relaxing time and I slept lots and had a complete break from crafting so I was really looking forward to getting back to my craft desk today.
For my Whiff of Joy project this week, I have a made a card following the Challenge theme from this fortnight's Whiff of Joy Challenge which is L.E.A.P, the team would like to see lace, an easel card, an animal and the colour pink on your Challenge submissions. I just had to use Henry for my card as he is my favourite Whiff of Joy critter and the  Henry with Large Rose which is available here from Whiff of Joy was just perfect to use with the freebie papers I got with a Magazine.

I made an Easel card which I decorated with the papers layered onto pink card and then stitched around all the edges. I stamped the Whiff of Joy Postcard onto kraft card and then cut it out and layered it up with a paper panel wrapped in Prima lace before placing my coloured Henry image on top.
I created a lace rosette which I tucked behind the postcard and then added flowers.

I added some die cut Butterflies which were cut with the Whiff of Joy die available here and then added gems and buttons as a finishing touch. Make sure you check out all the lovely cards made by the Whiff of Joy Challenge DT here! Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Birthday Cupcakes from Celeste Amberglow

Good Morning! I have a card to share with you today which I made using some of my favourite things! I am totally in love with these gorgeous October Afternoon papers! I love the colours and that checked pattern is just wonderful! I have used some of my favourite gingham bias binding from The Ribbon girl but have ironed it out to make is wide and a bit distressed on the edges. The pale blue ribbon I used is from Whiff of Joy and it was the perfect match for the gorgeous resin rose.

The image I have used is called Cupcake Party and coloured her in shades of pink and red to match my papers adding glitter accents with Stickles. I cannot remember where the sentiment stamp is from but it is one I use often as it is so versatile! I kept the layout quite simple and then added gems as a finishing touch. Have a lovely Friday!

Whiff of Joy DT - Henry Easter basket

Good Morning Everyone! I hope you are well, I can't believe it is Thursday already! This week is going so fast. I went out on Tuesday evening and did some crafting with a lovely group of ladies and made a little Easter Basket following a tutorial which was published last year on the Magnolia blog.

I used papers from The Girl's Paperie which are really beautiful and have such a great mix of colours, they are perfect for all your Spring Projects. I used the gorgeous Henry 'Easter Egg Art' which is available here from Whiff of Joy. I love the little face he is pulling while he is concentrating on his painting!

I decorated the basket using punches and die cut Butterflies which were cut using this gorgeous Butterfly die from Whiff of Joy, this has gone straight to the top of my list of favourite dies! I embellished the Butterflies with some Whiff of Joy gems.

I also added lot of flowers from my stash and a sentiment label created with a Magnolia stamp.
Once I have coloured Henry with my Promarkers, I die cut the image into a circle and added some distress inks while the circle was still in the die. I then added the circle to a scalloped circle which I set with an eyelet before tying to my finished basket with some frayed seam binding. When the basket was finished, I filled it with Raffia and some yummy chocolate eggs!
I wonder how long they will stay in there.....
I hope you have a lovely Thursday and make sure you pop back tomorrow for the first day of the Sugar Nellie blog hop!
