My Mum's Craft Shop DT - Celebrations Week

Hello Everyone!  I am kicking off a new themed week on the My Mum's Craft Shop blog today. Our theme this week is 'Celebrations' so we will be sharing some inspiration for your cards to mark upcoming Celebrations in 2013. I am sharing a card made with the adorable Tobie from Some Odd Girl who is celebrating with a rather large cake! He is currently out of stock at My Mum's Craft Shop but there are loads more gorgeous Some Odd Girl stamps here in the Shop.

The papers I used are by Carta Bella and unfortunately this pad is sold out. I used the Dienamics looped border to cut a strip of blue paper to hide the join in my papers.

Here is a close up of my coloured in Tobie. I coloured him in with my Promarkers and then added some glitter glue to the icing on the cake. I cut Tobie out leaving a small border and added him to the card with foam pads. I finished with a little blue stick on pearl in the top right corner. Thanks for stopping by and make sure you leave comments on the blog this week for the chance to win some Candy!
Have a lovely Sunday!

Sugar Nellie DT - Pick me!

Hello Everyone! I finally managed to tidy up the pre Christmas rush mess from my craft desk today and managed to make a few cards. I have been playing with some of my new papers and used some of the Echo Park 'Love Story' papers on this card. I chose an A6 card for some reason then instantly struggled with my layout! My new Dienamics Postage Stamps dies came to my rescue and I used them to mat and layer some papers onto and to frame my image.

The gorgeous stamp I have used is called 'Pick Me' by Leanne Ellis and she is available here from Funky Kits. I coloured the image in with my Promarkers and then added it to the card with foam pads.
I added seam binding, a gorgeous pink button and some flowers and gorgeous berries from The Ribbon girl.

Here is a close up of my image. I added a gem to one of the flowers on her dress and some more stick on pearls as a finishing touch. I hope you have a lovely afternoon and I will be back tomorrow with my My Mum's Craft Shop DT card.

Hello Everyone! A quick post from me today to share the card I have made for the latest Little Miss Muffet Challenge. The new challenge starts today and the theme is 'Anything Goes'. I have used some Lawn Fawn Christmassy papers on my card with a little strip of ribbon which was hanging around on my desk.

I have used Bandit Boy Gavin in Winter who is available here and coloured him in with my Promarkers to match the papers and a sentiment from Elzybells to make a card for my boys to send to thank for their Christmas presents. I added a little wooden star as a finishing touch and some stick on pearls. I hope you had a lovely Christmas and I am hoping I will get back to some regular crafting and blogging very soon! Have a lovely Thursday!

My Mum's Craft Shop DT - last minute Christmas cards

I am back again with some quick cards to share with you which were made using some of the gorgeous Wee Stamps toppers which are available for only £1.00 here at My Mum's craft shop.

I had a little panic last week and I realised I had not made enough cards to send!  I managed to make these 3 very quickly using scraps from my scraps box layered onto red card.

I added some Pink Petticoat sentiments and some flowers and other bits and bobs from my stash. These toppers  are perfect for making little girls Christmas cards.

Enjoy the rest of your Wednesday and good luck with all your Christmas preparations!

Passion for Promarkers DT - Mega Christmas Challenge

Hello Everyone! I apologise for the lack of posts on my blog lately. I have been so busy in the run up to Christmas, there are not enough hours in the day to keep up with everything. We launched our Mega Christmas Challenge on the Passion for Promarkers blog a couple of weeks ago and we are giving you another burst of inspiration today. Our Mega Christmas challenge runs for a whole month and ends on January 1st 2013.
Our theme for the Mega Christmas challenge is a nice easy one “include the word HAPPY in your sentiment”, so basically we want to see your creations for any type of occasion that include the word “happy”, i.e. happy Christmas, happy birthday, happy anniversary etc.
I have used the lovely Little Miss Muffet digi called 'Snowballs' on my card and coloured him in with my Promarkers and Flexmarkers.

I used Echo Park papers layered onto kraft card and added stitching around the edges. The sentiment is a rub on and I used a little wooden snowflake and some ribbon finishing with a button and some little gems.

Here is a close up of my image. I added some glitter glue to the snow for a bit of sparkle! I hope you will be able to join us for our Mega Christmas Challenge. We have some fabulous prizes for you!

Sugar Nellie DT - A cute Little cotton rabbit!

Hello Everyone! It's my day for sharing a card on the Sugar Nellie blog today and I am showing a card I made with the adorable Little Cotton Rabbits 'Albie' stamp. I have coloured him in with my Promarkers and have given him a little pink jumper to match these gorgeous Tilda papers which were a gift from my lovely Friend Petra.

I layered the papers on to kraft card and added some stitching around the edges before adding the layers to the card after I had wrapped them with some gorgeous velvet ribbon. I added lots of pretty flowers and some stick on pearls and a sentiment I stamped onto kraft.

Here is a close up of my image, Albie is a boy rabbit but I think he looks really cute in pink. I cut him out leaving a small border and then popped him on to my card with foam pads. I finished with some little stick on pearls. It was a nice change to make something other than a Christmas card too!
Talking of Christmas and treats....

Make sure you stop by the Sugar Nellie blog every day this week for your chance to win some Sugar Nellie Candy! One person will be selected at random from the comments left on the Sugar Nellie blog - to win a gift bag!

Ribbon Girl DT for the Ribbon Girl Challenge - Ho ho ho or a Christmas card

Hello again! I am back with my card for this month's special Challenge on the Ribbon Girl blog. We will be running a special Christmas Challenge for the next two weeks in the run up to Christmas and the theme is....Ho Ho Ho or a Christmas card. I still have a few Christmas cards to make so I used one of my new Whiff of Joy images called 'Cute Snowman' and coloured him in with my Promarkers and Flexmarkers. I love his little scarf, it was such fun to colour in! I added some stickles to the snow and then die cut the image with my Nesties. The papers I have used are by Echo Park and are from the Very Merry Christmas pad.

I added lots of gorgeous Christmassy goodies from the Ribbon Girl to my card. The sparkly tree charm is just gorgeous! I also added Jute mesh, green saddlestitch ribbon, stick on pearls, rolled paper flowers, mini blossoms, berries and some tiny berries too!

Here is a close up of my coloured in image. The sentiment I used is from Lili of the Valley and I added some red stickles to the little hearts. I hope you will be able to join in with our Christmas Challenge.

My Mum's Craft Shop DT - Love you a latte!

Hello Everyone! It's my day for posting on the My Mum's Craft shop blog today and I am sharing the card I made for my Hubby's Birthday last Sunday. I used the adorable 'Latte Monkey' stamp by CC designs which is available here from My Mum's Craft Shop. I coloured him in with my Promarkers and then cut him out leaving a small border.

I used papers from the Bazzil Basics Believe pad which is on special offer at My Mum's Craft shop. They are Christmas papers but love fabulous with Kraft and I thought these ones are great for Men's cards. I used various Dienamics dies to cut tags and stamped them with sentiments from my stash and finished with some stick on gems and some funky red twine. I hope you have a lovely Sunday!

Sugar Nellie DT - Hugs

Hello Everyone! I hope you are well and having a good Weekend so far. I can't believe it is December today! I have been Christmas Shopping today and tidying up my house and I have a bit of crafting to do later on and tomorrow but at the moment I have my feet up watching Robbie on the TV at last week's concert. I can't believe this time last week I was at the O2! I have a card to share with you today which I made using a gorgeous Sugar Nellie image by Kathy Hare which is called 'Worried' and is available here from Funky Kits.

I love the little boy's face, he is so cute and I really enjoyed colouring the bear with my Promarkers. I have been experimenting with different blends recently and I am really pleased with my colouring on this image! I used some very old My Mind's Eye papers on my card and the sentiment is by Hero Arts.
I kept my layout simple with a little stitching and some pleated ribbon and some flowers from my stash.

Here is a little close up of my coloured image. I just love the bear, he is so adorable and looks so cuddly. I hope you have a lovely evening. I will be back tomorrow with 2 cards!
