Hello Everyone! I hope you are having a good week so far and are looking forward to the Weekend. I know I am! I will be doing some crafting and also some Craft shopping as the Sincerely Yours Craft Show will be coming to Bracknell on Sunday. I used My Mind's Eye papers and a Martha Stewart punch for the scalloped borders. The sentiment is from a Penny Black set. I coloured my image with Promarkers and paper pieced her dress.

I finished with some ribbon and a button from the Ribbon Girl, some stick on gems and pearls and some paper flowers. I hope you have a lovely Friday!

Sugar Nellie DT - Spotlight on Leanne Ellis - Patience

Hello Everyone! It's my day for sharing a card on the Sugar Nellie blog and we are shining a Spotlight on Leanne Ellis for the coming week and the DT will be making cards using Leanne Ellis images all week. The image I have used on my card is called Patience and is available here from Funky Kits. I used some very old My Mind's Eye papers to create my card and added my usual stitching around the edges of all the layers.

I coloured my image using Promarkers and then cut it out and mounted it on a scalloped rectangle frame. I set an eyelet into the card and added a little apple charm. The sentiment is a rub on.

I finished the card with some flowers from my stash and some buttons and added some pretty little pink pearls to pick out some of the colours from my image. Make sure you join us on the blog for more of our Spotlight on Leanne Ellis throughout the week.

Have a lovely Wednesday!

Lili of the Valley Guest DT - Love Balloon

Hello Everyone, I am a bit late with my guest DT post for Lili of the Valley today.  I was ill last night and went to bed when I got in from work and only just remembered my post was going on the LOTV  blog today! Anyway...the card I am showing on the blog today is made using the adorable 'Love Balloon' which is available here from Lili of the Valley. I coloured the image with Promarkers to match the gorgeous Sweet Little Girl Echo Park papers and also matted the papers on to bright pink card before sewing around the edges.

I used a doily die to cut a shape to pop behind the circle onto which I added my image and then added this to the card with foam pads. The sentiment is from the Greetings Postmarks sentiments set and I added a tiny wooden button to the centre.

Here is a close up of my coloured image. I cut it out leaving a small border before adding it to the card and finished with some spotty ribbon and some papers flowers from my stash. I hope you enjoy the rest of your Evening.

The Ribbon Girl May Colour Challenge - Lilac and Lavender

Hello again! I am back with my DT card for this month's colour Challenge on the Ribbon Girl blog. Our colour theme this month is 'Lilac and Lavender'. I don't have many papers in these colours but managed to dig out some very old DCWV baby papers which matched the theme perfectly. I used the adorable Pure Innocence Make a Wish and coloured her in with Promarkers and paper pieced her dress. I die cut the image into a circle and added some distress ink around the image with the die still in place to retain the white frame.

I was a bit concerned I over embellished this card but couldn't resist adding lots of gorgeous goodies from The Ribbon Girl. I used some satin ribbon to wrap around the card which I then topped with some bias binding. I popped my image on top and tucked a crystal heart stem behind it and secured it on to the side of the image with my hot glue gun. I added a spotty button and some buttons from the lilac button mixture. The larger buttons are tied with twine.

I added lots of beautiful flowers around the image and some punched butterflies and finished with soms stick on gems. I hope you will be able to join us for this Challenge. We have lots of inspiration from the DT on the blog and a great photo to get you started.

We have two fabulous prizes for our lucky winner from Lili Of The Valley and Ribbon Girl

Enjoy the rest of your Weekend!

My Mum's Craft Shop DT - Something new

Good Morning Everyone! I hope you are having a good weekend so far. I am here today with a tag I have made for our 'Something New' themed week which is starting today on the My Mum's Craft shop blog. I cut the tag using a Dienamics die and Gorjuss Girl papers and added a fishtail cut from striped paper using another die. The beautiful house stamp is from the Art houses set from Creative Expressions and I stamped it on to kraft and added it to the tag over some jute mesh.

I used a Dienamics heart die to cut a small tag which I stamped with a Lili of the Valley stamp before setting it with an eyelet and tying it on with some Docrafts string.

I then added some flowers a wooden butterfly, some key charms and buttons to finish off. I hope you have a lovely Sunday.

Sugar Nellie DT - Butterfly Girl

Hello Everyone! Phew! The Weekend has finally arrived! I have a busy day lined up and a good old crafting session planned this evening in front of the telly. I have a quick post for you today to share a card I made using the Saturated Canary digi 'Butterfly Girl' who is available here from Funky Kits.

I coloured in very bright colours to match my papers which are from an American Crafts pad. I added a sentiment from Lili of the Valley and a few bits and bobs from my stash dotted around. The butterflies were punched with a Martha Stewart punch and I topped one of them with a tiny resin flower from Katy's Decoden which is a fabulous shop with so many lovely treats!

Here is a close up of my coloured image which was coloured with Promarkers as usual. I used Umber, Cocoa and Cinnamon on her hair which seems to be a new favourite combo of mine at the moment. I hope you have a lovely Saturday!

Gorjuss Decoupage!

Hello Everyone! I have been playing with some of the new Docrafts products which have just arrived at My Mum's Craft Shop. I have made a card using the beautiful Gorjuss mini decoupage set called 'You Brought me love' which is available here and the stunning coordinating papers from the 6x6 pack.

The decoupage is die cut and was very easy to put together and made a nice change from stamping and colouring. I layered up my papers and added some stiching and then wrapped my layers with lace and tiny ric rac from the Ribbon Girl before adding them to the card base. I used a Lili of the Valley sentiment and decorated the card with lots of flowers and other bits and bobs including some gorgeous Hobby House Rhinestone buttons.

Here is a close up  of the decoupage. I added some little punched butterflies to the frame and the image as a finishing touch. I hope you have a lovely Sunday!

Lili of the Valley Guest Design post - A little Message

Hello Everyone! I'm back with my second card as this month's Guest Designer for Lili of the Valley and it is featured on the Lili of the Valley blog today. I used the adorable stamp 'A little Message' with the matching sentiment on my card and Simple Stories Summer Fresh papers.

I love all the colours in these papers, they are so lovely and Summery and I thought they went really well with this image. The flowers I used are from Wild Orchid Crafts and I added a vintage pearl button and a charm from my stash which I tied with twine.

Here is a close up of my image which was coloured with Promarkers. I cut the image out and then mounted it onto a postage stamp edged die cut square which I mounted onto the card with foam pads.

The little letter which I stamped with tiny hearts is from the paper pad and I finished with a couple of little stick on pearls. I hope you have a lovely Saturday!

Little Miss Muffet DT - Forest Friends release day

Hello Everyone! It's Forest Friends release day over at Little Miss Muffet today I have a card to share with you which I have made using the adorable Fawn image. This was so much fun to colour in and the little Fawn is so cute! He is so versatile! I have used him on a card to say 'Hello' and coloured him in with my Promarkers to match my selection of papers from my scraps box which are mostly My Mind's Eye. I used a new Memory box die to cut the sentiment from the Woodgrain papers and added my usual stitching too.

I kept my layout simple and added a couple of little paper flowers from the Ribbon Girl and one of my favourite wooden Butterflies (I am starting to run out of these!) I finished with a couple of stick on pearls.

Here is a close up of my coloured image, isn't it just adorable! Love the little spots on his back. I was so tempted to add some stickles to his tail! Make sure you check out the blog for lots of inspiration from the DT using the new stamps and you can see all the new releases here!

Pollycraft is back!!

Hi Everyone! I hope you had a lovely Bank Holiday Weekend. Have you heard the very exciting news? Paula has re-opened Pollycraft and has some lovely brand new digis for sale which I know you are going to love.

Paula asked the old Pollycraft DT to help out with some sample and I made a couple of cards using my favourites from the new digis. The first card was made using 'What's the buzz' who is a cute little bee but I coloured her in using greens to make her into a caterpillar. I used Echo Park papers from the Echo Park 'Bundle of Joy - Boy' pad and a Paper Smooches sentiment. The resin flower is from My Mum's Craft shop and the Ribbon is from the Ribbon Girl.

I used 'Out of this World' for my second card and I think the papers are old Echo Park but I am not 100% sure. The sentiment is also from Paper Smooches and the button and Ribbon are from The Ribbon Girl. I have always loved Pollycraft images and am so happy the shop is open again and can't wait to see what Paula comes up with next! Have a lovely Tuesday!

A Beautiful Butterfly for Dies week at My Mum's Craft Shop.

Hello Everyone!  I am starting off a new themed week on the My Mum's Craft Shop blog and I have a card to share with you today which I have made using one of my favourite recent purchases from My Mum's Craft Shop...the beautiful Marianne Designs Butterfly die. I saw this at the trade show earlier this year made up using felt and it was truly stunning.

I have used mine to cut some of the beautiful new My Mind's Eye Find your Wings and Fly Away papers and made an anniversary card for my Parents. I used a Paper smooches sentiment from the Good Gab set.

I kept my layout quite simple, adding a little stitching and some paper flowers and used flower stamens for the butterfly antennae. I added some buttons from my stash to the butterfly, some gorgeous pleated ribbon from the Ribbon Girl and finished with some stick on pearls and gems. I hope you have a lovely Sunday.
