Saturday is release day on Squigglefly and Jane from has two cute new Jane's Doodle Designs images and a sentiment digi-stamp for you to play with.
I was lucky enough to have play with these this week and here are 2 cards I made with the new images.
The first card uses Sherman the Sheep. I used 2 of him on this card to make a Valentine's day card.
I flipped one of the images so they are facing and then paper-pieced the images using Funky Hand papers.
The theme on the Let's Get Funky Challenge blog this month is Spots and Stripes and I am entering this card. I used some papers from the Funky Daze CD to cover the base card, to frame the image and to paper piece the cute sheep. I used a heart shape gem between the sheep and small bright pink gems in the corners of the card. The felt heart is from Making Memories.
The second card was made with Gus the Seagull. You may recognise Gus as he was perched on the top of Noah's Ark in Jane's last release. He has been embellished with some grass and flowers and is perfect to make an alternative Valentine's day card for a Friend.
I made this card very simply using Making Memories striped paper and I then sewed the image on to the base card. Gus was coloured with Promarkers and I added some heart embellishments. The clip is from Making memories and the little resin hearts were a gift from my DT boss and Friend Susie and they match the papers perfectly. The sentiment stamp is Hero Arts
I like how colourful and bright both these cards are. We certainly need some cheering up around here! The snow has not really melted and my Hubby hurt his leg when he slipped walking to work yesterday. We spent a good couple of hours trying to dig our cars out of the snow yesterday too so my arms, neck and back are really aching today :-(
We are told there is more snow on the way on Sunday, looks like this weather is here to stay for a while.
I hope you are all safe and managing to stay warm wherever you are.
Remember to check out the rest of the DT's cards using Jane's new images by following the link on my sidebar, they are such talented ladies, you are certain to be inspired.
