My Mum's Craft shop DT - If you wish upon a star...

Hello Everyone! It's my day for posting on the My Mum's Craft shop blog today and I have made a new baby card to show you this week using the adorable Party Paws baby stamp which is available here at My Mum's Craft Shop.

I used papers from the My Mind's Eye Chalk Studio pad and kept my layout very simple adding a strip through the centre of my card to stamp the sentiment. The image was coloured with Promarkers and Graph'it markers and cut out leaving a small border before adding it to the card.

Here is a little close up. He is so cute! I couldn't resist giving him little rosy cheeks! I added a few little wooden stars to finish off the card and a blue button with a little ribbon tab tucked behind it. I hope you have a lovely Sunday!

Winter Birthdays Week on the My Mum's Craft shop blog

Hello Everyone! It's my day for sharing a card on the My Mum'sCraft Shop blog today and I am starting off a 'Winter Birthdays' week. I have used some of the gorgeous Bazzill Basics Nordic Pines papers on my card which are a beautiful rich red and have some lovely doilies on them. The stamp I used is Winter Fox from Lawn Fawn and I stamped the sentiment which comes with him onto a Dienamics Snowflake Splendour die cut shape.

I inked around the image which I had coloured in with Promarkers using Tea Dye distress ink and then layered it on to some dark brown card. I added some hessian from the Ribbon Girl behind the image panel.

I then added the sentiment snowflake above the image and another die cut snowflake below which I topped with a button tied with twine. I hope you have a lovely Sunday. I will be working on some card Commissions today and need to pop out to Hobbycraft as my paper cutter blade has decided to go blunt on me at the worst possible time!

MMCSDT - Halloween Week on the My Mum's Craft Shop blog

Hello Everyone! We are starting a Halloween themed week this week on the My Mum's Craft Shop blog. I have used my favourite Halloween papers from this year to make a quick card with no stamping or colouring which is unusual for me!

The papers I have used are from the My Mind's Eye Happy Haunting pad and I layered them on to orange card before adding them to the card base. I cut some toppers out from one of the pages in the pad and also layered them on to orange card and added some stitching before adding them to the card base. I added a spotty button and ribbon from The Ribbon Girl and a few die cut bats which I embellished with tiny black gems for their eyes. I hope you have a lovely Sunday, it's raining and horrible here today so I will be mostly crafting and practising my colouring. I will be back a little late with my Ribbon Girl DT card.

My Mum's Craft Shop DT - A little preview...

Hello Everyone! I have some exciting news to share with you today and a little preview of some new stamps My Mum's Craft Shop will be stocking very soon! I have a couple of Lawn Fawn stamps already so I have made a card using one of them today and some of the new papers that arrived this week.

The papers I have used are from the Bazzil Nordic Pines pad. They are gorgeous and have a lovely texture. I die cut a little aperture for my Owl to sit in after I had coloured him in and cut him out. I added a little strip of ribbon between the aperture and the sentiment and then added a crochet flower topped with an old brad from my stash. I finished with some tiny stamped hearts filled with glitter glue and a stick on pearl. I hope you have a lovely Sunday!

A Halloween treat box for the Ali-Craft Challenge

Hello, I am back again with my DT post for the latest Ali-Craft Challenge which started yesterday on the Ali-Craft blog. The theme this month is Halloween so I made a little treat box to fill with some chocolate coins.

I used a Sizzix die to cut the pillow box shape and used Distress inks and sprays to decorate a strip of paper using stamps from the Steampunk Spells 2 set to wrap aroud the box. I tied some purple twine around the box and used it to attach a little tag made by mouting a stamped sentiment from the set onto a die cut cog which I set with an Eyelet. I finished by adding a little purple flower topped with a stick on gem. I hope you will be able to join us for this Challenge for the chance to win a £10 website voucher.

Vintage Brooches from The Ribbon Girl

Hello Everyone! I hope you are well and enjoying your week so far! I have something a little bit different for you today. The Ribbon Girl have recently added some beautiful Vintage Style brooches to their lovely shop and I have used one to decorate a little box. The brooch I have used is 'Empress' and it is available here.

I used My Mind's Eye papers to decorate a little kraft box from Paperchase and used Hessian ribbon to wrap around the lid and through the brooch clasp securing it inside the lip of the lid so the brooch can be removed and worn.

I decorated each side of the box, adding a flower from the Darjeeling Pink Blossom pack on this side and a Lili of the Valley tag.

I added punched Butterflies topped with stick on pearls to two of the other sides and finished with lots more stick on pearls.

I really love this finished box and can't wait to fill it with something pretty to give to someone special!
