Ribbon Girl DT for the Ribbon Girl April Challenge - Yellow

Hello Everyone! As promised I am back with my DT card for this month's Ribbon Girl Colour Challenge. Our very appropriate for today colour theme is 'Yellow/Lemon' which took me right out of my comfort zone but I did enjoy the Challenge! I used a little sweetie called Puddle Jumper Fancy Girl from 'By Lori Designs' on my card. She is available here.

The papers I have used on my card are from the Echo Park 'Good Morning Sunshine' pad. I layered them on to kraft and also used a background chicken wire die for my image to sit on.
I used the following Ribbon Girl goodies on my card: Velvet Yellow Berisford ribbon, Sweetheart blossoms, linen button twine, Yellow twill stripe ribbon, bronze star charm, paper daisy, stick on pearls and a Polka dot button.

Here is a close up of my coloured image. I thought she would look really cute with a flower in her hair and little pearl earrings. Ribbon Girl Colour Challenge DT - Pink/Purple/Green

Good Morning Everyone! I have been looking forward to today for ages! Today is my first official Challenge as part of the Ribbon Girl DT! The colour combination we have for you to play with this month is fabulous! It is....

PINK/PURPLE/GREEN

I have made a card using an adorable digi from By Lori Designs and coloured her in to match the colour scheme and the papers I used from the DCWV Baby Mat Stack. I have used lots of goodies from The Ribbon Girl. After I had stitched my layers of card together, I wrapped them with bias binding and then with ric rac before adding the layers to the card. I added a cluster of flowers including the beautiful little blossoms and some purple rosebuds, I curled the stems of the tiny ones to make little springs. I added a small spotty button to the top left corner and finished with a sentiment by Hero Arts and some little gems.

Inspired by a photo for the By Lori Designs Challenge

Hello Everyone! I am feeling  a little bit better but not well enough to do any crafting apart from a little knitting. I hope I can get back to making cards soon as I am really bored! have found a card in my album 

that I haven't shared yet which I made last week for the By Lori Designs Challenge. 

I was really chuffed as I won the last Challenge and have my new digis all printed out and ready to use.

The theme this time is a photo inspiration Challenge and as soon as I saw it, I thought of making a new baby card.

I have used the adorable 'Sweet Pea Baby Addy' which is available here from By Lori Designs. I used some Pink Petticoat Gingham paper layered onto green Tim Holz card and added stitching around the edges. The frame is cut from a Spellbinders die.

I coloured Baby Addy using my Promarkers and then cut her out and layered her onto a background coloured with Promarkers and Flexmarkers. The green velvet ribbon is from The Ribbon Girl and I added flowers from my stash onto the corners of the image and finished with a couple of gems.

Here is the beautiful photo, I just love the soft colours and gingham has always been a favourite of mine!

A card for the By Lori Designs Colour Challenge

Good Morning Everyone! I hope you are having a good Weekend so far. I don't normally have a lot of spare time to take part in all the Challenges I enjoy but made a special effort when I saw that the By Lori Designs Colour Challenges were back.

I have used a favourite By Lori Designs image I bought a while ago from Claudia and co and coloured her in to match the colour scheme for the Challenge.

Here is an 'arty' close up of my card, all the papers were in my scraps basket and the sentiment is also from By Lori Designs.


I stitched through all the layers with green thread and added some flowers and a bow tied from gorgeous ribbon from The Ribbon Girl. I added some gems and a little button which was lying around on my desk just begging to be stuck to the card.

Hello Everyone! I hope you had a lovely Christmas and are looking forward to the New Year.
I don't have any cards to show you today, I am working on some new bits and pieces I hope to bring you in the next few days but have been taking things easy and had a bit of a break from blogging to recharge my batteries ready for a New Year.

Here comes the Bride

Morning everyone! I hope you are having a good week. I am still trying hard to take part in as many of my favourite Challenges as possible so I have made a special effort to take part in this week's Passion for Promarkers Challenge. The theme this week is 'Here comes the bride' and I have used one of my favourite Wedding images from By Lori Designs on my card.

The papers I have used are from Bobunny and the gorgeous pink ribbon is from The Ribbon girl and the little sentiment is from Pink Petticoat. I kept the layout simple and coloured my image with Promarkers adding some pink highlights to the wedding dress and some glitter glue to make it sparkle.

Baby Baby...

I have been very busy this past week making Baby cards. My local craft shop/gift shop asked me for some and I have loved making them! All the baby images around are so cute and these images by Lori Boyd have to be some of the cutest around!

I used the baby boy and girl images to make some simple little cards by embossing kraft card and topping with a square of pink or blue patterned paper.
I wrapped the layers with Ribbon and then stuck them to my card blank. I then tied a knot in more ribbon to which I tied a charm with button twine and stuck this to my card. The image was coloured and mounted on Kraft and added to the card with foam pads.

The finishing touches were a pearl button threaded with more twine and added to the other end of the ribbon and a tiny pearl heart. The Ribbon, twine, button and charms are all from The Ribbon Girl.


I made two of each card and here they are all together. I am really pleased with the embossing on the Kraft!
I will have lots more Baby cards to show you over the coming days!

By Lori Designs Challenge #15

Yay! It's a Bank Holiday Weekend! I am so happy I have a day off work tomorrow as I have got tons of stuff to do and my youngest also wants me to take him to town so I hope to be able to go out for coffee and hot chocolate with my two lovely boys!


Thursday is 'By Lori Designs' Challenge day and we have gone all pink and girly on you this week so I just HAD to use this adorable little Avery Ballerina!
I made a centre stepper card and used some of my new Echo Park papers which I love!
I used Kraft paper to mat the pretty pink stripes onto and also cut a gorgeous frame from some of my new Nestabilities, this one is a favourite! The sentiment I used is by Pink Petticoat and the various other embellishments are from my stash.

I have gone back to using my old camera as I did not like the photos my new one took, I think I need to explore the settings more but life is just too short to read manuals!! I hope you will be able to join us for this week's Challenge for the chance to win one of Lori's Digis.

By Lori Designs Challenge #13

Hi Everyone! I can't believe it's Thursday already! I hope you are having a good week so far. Thursday is By Lori Designs Challenge Day and we have a fab colour combination for you this week with two of my favourite colours, duck egg blue and olive and they complement the orange and creamy yellow which have been chosen so well.

I am unashamedly proud and over the moon with the card I have made this week. I love how it turned out :-) The apple paper came in a job lot from Sarah's cards and I LOVE it! It fitted the theme of my card so well as I had already decided I was going to use the cute Lacie before I received the paper. I teamed it with some orange card and some ledger paper which I had stamped with a Whiff of Joy sentiment.

I coloured the image with Promarkers and then cut it out before adding it to the card with foam pads. As a finishing touch I added a pencil button and some alphabet twill which I tied in a bow and topped with a pearl.
