Sugar Nellie Blog Hop - Day 3 - Fairy Cakes

Good Morning Everyone! Welcome to my blog for Day 3 of the Sugar Nellie Baby Fairies sneak peek blog hop. If you are following the hop, you should have come from the lovely Anita's blog.  We are all previewing the adorable 'Fairy Cakes' stamp today which will be released on Friday at Funky Kits.I love this little fairy's hair and she looks really cheeky flying away with her cupcake!

I used some gorgeous The Girl's Paperie papers layered onto kraft card to create my layout adding stiching around the edges of all the layers. I coloured the image with Promarkers adding some glitter  to the wings of the adorable baby Fairy. I added a very old sentiment from my stash cut out with a ticket die and decorated the card with a wooden button, flowers, some gingham bias binding and spotty button from the Ribbon Girl and some gems. I hope you are enjoying the hop so far, your next stop is the very talented  Vicky.

Make sure you leave comments along the way for the chance to win some sweet Sugar Nellie candy , only a couple of days now until release day! Have a lovely Wednesday!

Whiff of Joy DT - Henry Easter basket

Good Morning Everyone! I hope you are well, I can't believe it is Thursday already! This week is going so fast. I went out on Tuesday evening and did some crafting with a lovely group of ladies and made a little Easter Basket following a tutorial which was published last year on the Magnolia blog.

I used papers from The Girl's Paperie which are really beautiful and have such a great mix of colours, they are perfect for all your Spring Projects. I used the gorgeous Henry 'Easter Egg Art' which is available here from Whiff of Joy. I love the little face he is pulling while he is concentrating on his painting!

I decorated the basket using punches and die cut Butterflies which were cut using this gorgeous Butterfly die from Whiff of Joy, this has gone straight to the top of my list of favourite dies! I embellished the Butterflies with some Whiff of Joy gems.

I also added lot of flowers from my stash and a sentiment label created with a Magnolia stamp.
Once I have coloured Henry with my Promarkers, I die cut the image into a circle and added some distress inks while the circle was still in the die. I then added the circle to a scalloped circle which I set with an eyelet before tying to my finished basket with some frayed seam binding. When the basket was finished, I filled it with Raffia and some yummy chocolate eggs!
I wonder how long they will stay in there.....
I hope you have a lovely Thursday and make sure you pop back tomorrow for the first day of the Sugar Nellie blog hop!
