My DT card for the Willow Sketchie Challenge.

Here is my card for the next Willow Sketchie Challenge. For this fortnight's Challenge, we got to play with the Walter Owl download. He was so much fun to colour in and I really like these backing papers, I think they will be really handy for New Baby cards and for Easter. I just love playing with ally my Willow Designs scraps and seeing what I can make as they are so gorgeous and I hate to throw them away!
I used my new Martha Stewart punch on this card and some of my Nestabilities, the Butterfly is also a new punch I bought last weekend. I love it! I used what I think are flower centres which I bought from Ashridge farm to make antennaes.

The sentiment is by Hero Arts, I think their sentiment sets are unbeatable, so versatile and always lovely fonts. The sentiment was stamped on to a Spellbinders tag shape through which I threaded a lovely lilac gingham ribbon. The gems are by Papermania and Kanban.

Not so sure about my colouring this week, I have been experimenting with a new linen card and my Promarkers and it is not as nice to use as the canvas textured card I had got used to.

I love digi Challenge no 3: An Easter Card or Gift

It's time for our 3rd Challenge already on the I love Digi Blog and the theme this fortnight is Easter. We would like you to make an Easter card or gift....or both!
I decided to make a little box full of yummy Chocolate eggs to give to my Friend this Easter as my DT project.
I used a Sizzix Shaker die to cut the box from Willow designs card and decorated it with a Willow designs image. The little Chick is so cute and perfect for Easter! I coloured him in with my Promarkers.

I decorated the inside of the box with a cute little crown which is also from Willow designs.

The sentiment stamp I decorated the bottom of the box with is from the Everyday sentiments set by Elzybells. The gems are Papermania and the flowers are Hero Arts.

Susie's Sassy Challenge no 4 - A touch of gold

Susie's Sassy Challenge no 4 launches today. Thank you to all of you who took part in the last Buttons and Bows Challenge. It was lovely looking at all your cards.

The Challenge for this fortnight is 'A touch of gold'. Something a bit different for me as I don't normally use gold. I am more of a silver person but I found this lovely gold Papercellar card and took my lead from this to create my card. Some American Crafts snowflake paper gave me my inspiration for the colour. I love this paper and have used it on quite a few of my cards this year. I have a tiny bit left now and am trying to think of a way to use it!


I used a Kraftin Kimmie stamp and a Stampendous sentiment on a DL card base I had covered in the gold card. The image was cut with Labels 8 Nesties and coloured with promarkers, Sakura pens and stickles. I am really trying hard with my colouring now but still need a lot of practise on my shading techniques. I finished the card off with some bling, a diecut snowflake and gold organza ribbon. I love organza ribbon!

Now for the interesting bit about the Challenge!

American Football card

One of my very good Friends asked me last week to make a card for her. She has a student staying with her for a year who is 22 in December and is a massive American football fan. I took inspiration from 2 cards I had recently made for my Husband as I often get a bit stuck when it comes to Men' s cards.

I used an image I downloaded from the internet for the helmet and coloured it in with Promarkers. The papers I used are Making Memories and the cardstock is Sizzix and DCWV.


The Happy Birthday stamp is from a little Studio G set and I like the fact it is a bit wonky...the football in the top left corner is from a Making memories pack and it is pure chance I have it as it was in a pack I bought for making my Hubby's card!

A bright and cheerful Sarah Kay card

I normally like my cards to be bright but this card has to be one of my most colourful so far. I normally stick to just a couple of patterned papers per card but since taking part in the Cook up a Card October Challenge in which you have to use 4 patterned papers, I have been doing a bit of experimenting.

All the papers used in this card are from the DCWV blossoms and butterflies stack. I used 3 different papers for the front and coloured this gorgeous image I received in a RAK from Claire with my Promarkers. I bought 5 of the new colours recently and the yellow I used for the hat is one of them. It is lush!
I used Sakura pens for the polka dots on the ribbon and trim detail on the top. The flowers are some of my new Primas and the metal flower in the centre was in a Let's Make cards pack. The sentiment is Elzybells.

I made the card base from some gorgeous rich Turquoise Paper Mill shop card so had to make inserts so you could write in it. I used 2 more patterned papers from the stack and another Elzybells sentiment stamped onto white card and cut with my lovely label Nesties (this are one of my Favourite Ally Pally purchases).
The card was for my friend Petra who runs the ATC swap with me. It was her birthday at the Weekend so I gave her the card Monday.

Magnolia Thank you card

This is another Thank you card for a Friend. The Magnolia image was received in an image swap.

I cut all the shapes with Nestabilities. The papers are from the DCWV Baby Girl stack and I coloured the image with Promarkers. The green flower was also coloured with a Promarker and the sentiment is Elzybells.
This is the first time I have used a Magnolia image and I think she is really cute, I have recently bought a Magnolia stamp of my own which I hope to try out soon.
