Pollycraft Blog hop - Introducing....Casper Silvermist!

Good Morning, it's an exciting day for us today at Pollycraft as we are celebrating the next release with a blog hop!
Paula has been a busy little bee drawing away and has created some wonderful new images that you are going to love! There are some more Swings and Slides images, some new Luna Bitterfrost girls that are fabulous and a new addition to the Pollycraft family who is making an appearance on my card today! Casper Silvermist is 'Too Cool for School' and he looks bang on trend in this image with his funky bag and shoes! I have used lots of Echo Park papers from various new pads I bought recently and a Hero Arts sentiment. I have had the star embellishments for ages and can't remember where I bought them.

My Pollycraft teamies have all been very busy playing with the new images and are showcasing them on their blogs for the hop which starts today and lasts until the 28th of August. The hop starts on Paula's blog and if you have arrived here from the lovely Sheena you are in the right place. If not you can go back to Cazza where the hop starts to find your way again. Pollycraft Monday Challenge -Autumn colours

Hi Everyone! I hope you had a lovely weekend. I spent most of mine crafting! Heaven! It is Monday which means it is time for another Pollycraft Monday Challenge. This week the lovely Sheenas has chosen our theme and she has gone with AUTUMN COLOURS so we want to see reds, oranges, browns, etc in your creations. Ihave made a card using the adorable Swings and Slides 'Little Sprout'. She is such a little cutie!
I have used papers from a few different manufacturers and pads to get the right mix of Autumn colours.

I followed the great sketch from this week's Sketch Saturday Challenge which was lots of fun with the 'wonky' layers. I added a bow and a couple of little flowers as extras.

An Exploding Scrapbook tutorial on the Whiff of Joy blog

Good Afternoon Everyone! I hope you are having a good weekend. I have been busy crafting today and have been making an exploding Scrapb0ok ready to fill with memories from my holiday.

Here is the inside of my album ready for some photos and journalling. I also added little pockets for memorabilia.
I love the new Henry stamps, he looks so adorable all dressed up and ready for an Adventure!

Whiff of Joy for the CES Banners and Flags Challenge

Good Morning Everyone, I hope you are well. I promised you some more Whiff of Joy Henry projects in my post yesterday and here is a card I maede for the latest Crafty Emma's store Challenge. The theme this week is

''Bunting, Banners or flags''

I have made a card using Whiff of Joy's Henry 'Which Direction?' and My Mind's Eye Rosy papers for my card which are available here at Crafty Emma's Store.

I coloured Henry with my Promarkers and cut him out with a Spellbinders and left the image in the die while I inked the edges. I love this effect! I then matted the image onto a larger circle and sewed around the edges, very carefully as I haven't done this for a while. I covered a bit that went a bit wrong with a felt star from my stash!
The papers were sewed too and I stamped a sentiment from the Adventure awaits sentiments set in the bottom right corner of the card. I cut a banner from Kraft using die and recut from patterned paper cutting out the flags and layering up the shapes. I added some pearls and a stunning green ribbon from the Ribbon Girl as a finishing touch it matches the papers perfectly!

Whiff of Joy DT - Looking for Adventures

Morning Everyone!I hope you are all well. I apologise for the absence of posts this week, I have been struggling to find time to craft this since we came back from our holiday and my Mojo seems to have taken a bit of a battering so I am slowly getting back into things. There was a fabulous release from Whiff of Joy when I was away and I last night I had a play with some of the stamps and dies.

I have made a card using Henry Looking for Adventures which is available here from Whiff of Joy. I had lots of fun colouring the image in bright colours to match the gorgeous Country Drive Echo Park papers which you can buy here from Crafty Emma's Store. I thought the green paper looked a little bit like tyre tracks, I have used a sentiment from the new set pictured below on the green panel which is available to buy here.

I have used the brand new picket fence die which I adore to cut a fence from Kraft which I added over the join in the two patterned papers which I then wrapped with some turquoise ribbon. I then finished with a tab and a spotty Ribbon girl button. I have a few more Henry the Mouseprojects to share with you this weekend.

Pollycraft Monday Challenge - Distressing

Good Morning Everyone! I hope you had a lovely weekend. I am slowly getting back to our normal routine after our holiday and have nearly finished all the washing! I had a little bit of crafting time at the weekend and made some Design Team cards and did some work on my commissions, just need to put the steps copy together before sending them off then I will be free to have a play! The theme for this week's Pollycraft Challenge chosen by the lovely Maria is .... Distressing. I don't do much distressing on my cards normally so it was great to do something a bit different this week. For my card, I used some My Mind's Eye papers from two different pads and some spotty paper which was in my scraps box.

I distressed the papers with my distressing tool and distress ink and I used this week's fabulous sketch from Sunday Sketch and stamp after spotting it on the very talented Donna's blog I just had to use it!

The sentiment is by Hero Arts and I used a Sonny Honeycloud image called 'My Way' I have never used before and printed her on textured card and coloured her in with Promarkers. I added some flowers from my stash and some string and a couple of little pearls. CES Challenge - mix and match

Hi Everyone, I am so late with my card for this week's CES challenge! I suppose it is better late than never! This week's Challenge theme has been chosen by the lovely Julie and the theme this week is Mix and Match. We want to see your creations using papers from at least two different manufacturers. I have chosen 2 of my new paper pads to use which arrived while I was away on my holidays and a new stamp I ordered before I went.

The yellow spotty paper I used is from the My Mind's Eye Rosy pad which is available here from Crafty Emma's store, the grey and yellow papers are from the Authentique Blissful pad which is available here.

I layered the paper up onto a scalloped edge card blank and added stitching and then stamped one of the new Simply Sassy images called Team Spirit and coloured her in in shades to match the papers. I made some pom poms from Baker's twine and stuck them on the image with my glue gun. I cut the image out with some of the new Xcut dies. I love them as the ovals and rectangles are a great size for stamped images, I find my nesties are sometimes a bit small. I added a die cut label stamped with a mini sentiment and 2 crochet flowers I bought on holiday.

Whiff of Joy Challenge - Buttons and bows

Hi Everyone! I hope you are all well. I am very well and totally relaxed as we came home yesterday from 10 days in the gorgeous sunshine in Spain. Thanks so much for all the comments you left on my scheduled posts. I have been reading them all today and working on some Magazine commissions. I am not back at work until next week so I will be spending quite a bit of time crafting!

My Whiff of Joy DT project this week is a card for the Whiff of Joy Challenge. This fortnight the theme is 'Buttons and Bows'. I have used some seam binding to create a bow on my card which I topped with one of my favourite buttons from the Ribbon Girl. The lace and pin are also from The Ribbon Girl.
I used one of my favourite new baby images from Whiff of Joy which is available here and a sentiment from this set. The rose paper is a new sheet but I cannot remember where I bought it and the other papers were scraps from my folder and I used flowers and doily from my stash. Make sure you check out the Whiff of Joy blog for lots of inspiration from the DT. The girls are also having a DT call and I have decided to apply so wish me luck! It's so great to be back crafting and blogging, I really enjoyed my break but it is wonderful to be back!

Pollycraft Monday Challenge - Recycle

Morning! I hope you had a lovely weekend. We have a fabulous challenge theme for you this week on the Pollycraft Challenge blog which has been set by the lovely Emma. The theme this week is 'Recycle', we would like to see something Recycled on your projects this week it's a great way to add to your stash without spending any money!

I have used my favourite digi stamp hunk Maurice on my card and coloured him with Promarkers to match the book cover I cut the panel from which he is resting on. I recycled some notebook paper which I punched and some corrugated cardboard packaging on this card which I layered up with my Echo Park papers.
I also added a popper which I had saved from a top when it fell off and a little bow from my stash.

CES Challenge - Water it!

Morning Everyone! I hope you are having a good week. It's time for a new CES Challenge and the theme for this week is Water it. We would like to see Project this week with a Water theme! I have chosen to use of the new Gorjuss Girl stamps I bought in Newbury and some of the lovely Fancy Pants Baby Mine Papers.

I created a little scene for my image to stand in with my pinking shears to shape the grass and some of the lovely cloud paper from the pack. I stamped my image onto acetate, white card which I coloured in with Promarkers and one last time on striped paper for her wellies. The sentiment is by Personal impressions and I added a box tied from Ribbon Girl seam binding and topped with a Ribbon Girl button. I added some mini blossoms as a finishing touch. Sugar Nellie GDT - Snow Buddies

Hello Everyone! I hope you are well and having a good week so far. I have a card to share with you today which I made using one of the adorable stamps I received as part of my GDT pack from Sugar Nellie. I love this sweet image called Snow Buddies which is available here from Sugar Nellie.


I decided to go with non traditional Christmas colours and used papers by Cosmo Cricket from last Christmas. I coloured the cute image with Promarkers and paper pieced the brolly and scarf with some of the checked paper.
I added Ribbon from The Ribbon Girl and a die cut snowflake to which I added lots of glitter, some gems, a button and I tucked my sentiment which I also glittered...right behind it.

Whiff of Joy DT - New Henry the Mouse stamps!

Hi Everyone! I have a card to show with you today which I have made using one of the new Henry the Mouse images which have just been released at Whiff of Joy.

I love all the new Henry images but this one reminds me of my boys when they used to be in the Boy Scouts. I used to help out and went to a couple of camps and the camp fires were always one of the highlights!
I used various papers from my stash for my card which I sewed with my machine and various embellishments I have had in my stash for a long time!

Here is a close up of my image coloured with Promarkers. I had so much fun colouring Henry in! I added some glitter glue to the fire and then inked the image with distress inks while it was still in the Spellbinders die.

Pollycraft Monday Challenge - A sketch by Paula

Hi Everyone! I hope you had a lovely weekend. Mine was very relaxing! It's Monday which means it's time for a new Pollycraft Challenge and we have a lovely sketch by Paula for you this week. I loved working with this sketch and I know the rest of the DT did as well.

I made a card using some old DCWV papers from my stash and this adorable Spencer loves cake image. I cut some shapes with Grand Spellbinder Nestabilities labels and sewed around the edges before adding to some layered squares to fit the card base and ran my machine through all the layers. I wrapped the card with gingham bias binding from The Ribbon Girl and then added my image on top. The sentiment I used is also by Pollycraft. I added some flowerd from my stash and some stick on pearls as a finishing touch.

CES Challenge - Feeling the blues

Hello Everyone! It's finally Saturday and time for a new CES Challenge. The lovely Vicky has chosen our theme this week and it is 'Feeling the Blues' so we would like to see your cards and Projects featuring Blue as your main colour. I have used papers from the fabulous Baby Mine pad by Fancy Pants which is available here from Crafty Emma's store for my card with a gorgeous Simply Sassy image from Sugar Nellie.

I die cut and punched my paper and added sewing before wrapping the layers with Baker's twine and tying on a sentiment tag. I finished with a lovely gingham bow topped with a button and lots of flowers including some of the gorgeous Mini Blossoms which you can find here.

Some cards for a Blooming great Tea Party!

Hello Everyone! I hope you are having a good week so far. We are going to be holding a Blooming great Tea Party at work this week to raise money for Marie Curie Cancer care. You can find all the details about holding your own tea party here.

I'm not very good at making cakes (I am an expert at eating them however!!) but I can make cards with cakes on so I make a dozen of these cards using Pink Petticoat images and sentiments, the papers are various 6x6 Shabby chic style papers from my stash and I mixed and matched them also using a lacey border punch, As a finishing touch, I added a pearl to each card. They were very quick to put together, I made them while watching Top Gear on a little production line colouring each element of the same colour on each image in a row. I hope they will help to raise some money towards a very worthy cause.

Sugar Nellie GDT - Noel

Hello Everyone, I hope you are not getting fed up of seeing Christmas cards yet....I have another one for you today made using one of the adorable stamps which were release this month at Sugar Nellie. The stamp I used on this card is called Noel, and is available here from Sugar Nellie.

I thought I would make a rectangular shaped card for a bit of a change, I am so used to working on square cards, I have to admit, I did struggle with this one a little and I am not 100% happy with the finished result. I used My Mind's Eye papers which I stitched with two rows of different stitching, I felt like trying something new! I coloured and glitterd the image and cut it out with nesties before distressing the edges with inks. I layered it onto an embossed kraft panel which I had also distressed, added it to the card with foam pads and finished with a bow. Have a great Thursday!

Whiff of Joy DT - New release preview

Hello Everyone! I have a card to show you today made with one of the images which will be released next month at Whiff of Joy. If you are a big fan of Henry the Mouse you are in for a real treat! Whiff of Joy are releasing a fabulous series of stamps featuring him on a Travel and Adventure theme and a great collection of matching dies!

I have used Henry hugging a heart to make a card which I gave to my Husband for our Wedding Anniversary yesterday. We have been married for 14 years this year and we celebrated by going out for a lovely dinner. I don't know where the years have gone, my Hubby is my best Friend and is so supportive of my crafting and I love him more and more with every year which passes. The paper I have used is by My Mind's Eye and I picked up th ribbed kraft at the Newbury craft show. The sentiment is by Hero Arts and the pretty heart Ribbon is from The Ribbon Girl. New Pollycraft Christmas images!

Good Morning Everyone! I hope you had a good start to the week. I have a card to share with you today which I made using one of the new images which were released yesterday at Pollycraft.

I adore all the Cheeky Chester images and this one is no exception He looks adorable all dressed up in his Christmas outfit. I used more Making Memories papers and a Whimsy stamp sentiment and Christmas list.

Pollycraft Monday Challenge - Christmas in July

Good Morning Everyone! I hope you are all well, I have yet another Christmas card to show you, I don't think I have ever made so many Christmas cards this early! The Challenge theme this week on the Pollycraft Challenge is... Christmas in July. Paula is also releasing some fabulous new Christmas images today so make sure you pop over to the shop to check them out!

I have chosen to use an old favourite , Ethan's New Jumper, on my card from the Felicity and Friends images which I teamed up with Kraft card and Making Memories Christmas papers. I love the vintage feel they have. I added lots of sewing and a punched border and tied on a little bell with some twine. The sentiment was created on my label maker and stuck on a Stampin up punched tab. Sugar Nellie GDT - Another Christmas card!

Morning Everyone! I have been having a play with more Christmas stamps today from the lovely GDT package I received from Sugar Nellie. This adorable image is called 'Puss in Boots' and is available here from Sugar Nellie.

I used some Cosmo Cricket papers from last year layered onto deep red card from my scraps file. I added some gorgeous dotty ribbon and cut a frame for the image with a Nesties die adding little gems around the outside of the image. The sentiment is by Pink Petticoat and was cut out using a Nesties label. I have a day off today and have a busy day of Crafting ahead of me!

A Simply Sassy Christmas card

Morning Everyone! I hope you are having a good week. Thank you for all the lovely comments you have been leaving me recently. I have been really busy this week but finally had some time to do some crafting last night. I ordered this Secret Santa Simply Sassy stamp a few weeks ago and was itching to get her inked up and made into a card and I thought she would be perfect to use for the sketch which is this week's theme on the Passion for Promarkers Challenge blog.

I used Basic Grey papers from last year and a scrap of digi paper leftover from another Project. I used a Chipboard sticker which I bought in a sale in Hobbycraft and some label font letter stickers for my sentiment and some adorable pom pom trim and a Jillibean soup die cut to which I added some stick on gems.

I loved using the fab sketch by Michele, it was so easy to follow and I will be digging this one out again soon for more cards. I am hoping to have some more crafting time tonight, I really miss it if I don't do anything for a few days! Have a great Thursday!

Whiff of Joy DT for the Whiff of Joy Challenge

Hi there! It is Wednesday already and time for a new Whiff of Joy Challenge. I have made a card using the fabulous sketch and an image from last month's release called On time for class.

I coloured the image in with my Promarkers and cut it out before layering onto Echo park papers which have been layered onto kraft card. I have used gingham (again....I am a bit addicted to gingham at the moment) ribbon and paper and some raffia ribbon from my stash and a printed sentiment. The corner sticker is also from Echo park.
