Buzzin by to say hi!

For my latest Fiskarettes Design Team Project, I decided to make a card with a bit of a summery feel as an antidote to these dark and cold mornings we are having lately.

card

1. Score and fold a piece of A4 card in half and cut down to make a square card using the Fiskars paper trimmer.
2. Cover the inside of the card with spotty paper.
3. Cut a diagonal with the finger tip knife and a ruler from the centre crease to 4cm from the bottom front of the card. Cover with stripey paper.
4. Punch a scalloped green strip of paper with the Fiskars Border Punch - Scalloped Lace and stick to bottom front of the card. Stick a strip of lace over this.

5. Stamp the Joanna Sheen Messy Rabbit bees using the Easy Stamp Press onto white linen card. Colour in and cut into a circle. Mount onto a scalloped circle.
6. Cut a leaf using the Leaves Template and ShapeCutter. Handstitch to represent the veins on the leaf. Cut a second shape and stick to back of stitched shape to hide the stitches.
7. Assemble topper on the card finishing with a button and paper flower.
8. Add an Elzybells stamped sentiment in a die cut circle.

I love the mixture of colours and textures in this finished card. This would work just as well with more leaves and ladybirds or autumnal colour leaves and a spider for Halloween.

I hope you are having a nice weekend.
