My Harvest ATCs and a fabulous cake!

We had a busy day today travelling to Swindon and back to see my Parents. They had a family party to celebrate their New Home and my Dad's Retirement earlier this year. When we got home I made my ATCs for the Addicted to ATCs October Swap. The theme is Harvest so I used this lovely stamp I bought recently.

I coloured her in with Promarkers and Copic Spica pens and inked around the image. I then matted the image onto My Minds Eye papers and added some Card Candy to finish.

Here are all 3 finished ATCS. There is still time to take part in the swap this month. Pop on over to the blog to find out all the details, we always welcome new people and are a friendly bunch. The swap is lots of fun!
I thought I would also share some photos with you of the wonderful cake my Friend Petra made for us to take to the Party.
Petra and I run the Addicted to ATCs swap together. She is so multi-talented! She makes the most wonderful cakes as well as cards. The picture above shows the back of the cake with my Dad made from Marzipan relaxing on a chair in his back garden. The cake is modelled on my Parent's new house which is L-shaped too. I just love all the little flower details.
The cake tasted even more delicious than it looks too! A big Thank you to Petra for taking so much time to make a wonderful cake. My Parents were so happy with it!
I hope you are all having a lovely weekend!

  2. Gorgeous ATC's Jane, really vibrant colours. I love the cake, it is so creative. Funnily enough I have been watching a programme tonight here in the US called Cake Boss, all about a company who makes novelty cakes here. I was fascinated by the creativity, so it was lovely to see this here.
