A Summery Gorjuss Girl
Good Morning Everyone, it's my day for posting on the My Mum's craft shop blog today and I am sharing a card made with one of the new Gorjuss Girl stamps! I have been in love with the adorable Gorjuss Girls images for a few ywars now and was thrilled when Kitty took delivery of all the latest stamps. There are so many to choose from an each one is so lovely to colour in. I recently had a big colouring session lately and this little cutie was one of the images I brought to life with my Promarkers. I have coloured her in bright and summery colours for a nice fresh feel instead of the dark gothic colours on the packaging. I love how different these look when coloured in brght colours. This image is called 'Fallen' and is available here in the shop.
The papers I have used are from the Echo Park 'Hello Summer' paper pack which is available here and added my layered papers to a scalloped card base. I added some ribbon and a sentiment stamped on a tag from the Dienamics notched tag die and stamp set which is available here. I topped the tag with a bow tied from twine and a die cut butterfly also from the set. I added some Hobby House flowers and pearls as a finishing touch. I hope you have a lovely Thursday!

Whiff of Joy DT - A travelling Henry
Morning Everyone! I recently needed to make a card for a Friend celebrating a special birthday. She happens to be a bit of a globe trotting adventurer so I chose to make a shaped card using some Studio Calico papers and decorated it with 'Which Direction' Henry who is available here from Whiff of Joy.
I made the card by creating a template in Word and printing it on to my patterned paper and onto kraft card for the base. Henry was coloured with my Promarkers and I cut him out leaving a small border. I paperpieced his map with one of the maps on the papers.
I had so much fun colouring Henry in, I coloured him in again and added him to a little notebook which is Passport sized so is a perfect notebook to plan travels in.
Here are my matching set of Henrys! I decorated the card with wooden buttons and charms and a few little stick on pearls as a finishing touch. The little sentiment is from Lili of the Valley.
I hope you have a lovely Saturday!

My Mum's Craft Shop DT - Kaisercraft Tigerlily
Good Morning Everyone! It's my turn to post on the My Mum's Craft Shop blog today and I am sharing some makes which I put together last night using papers and die cuts from the Kaisercraft Tigerlily collection which arrived last week at My Mum's Craft Shop. I have made a special card for my Mum as it's her Birthday soon.
To make the card I cut a piece of black paper from the pack and layered a piece of gorgeous patterned butterfly paper on top, I sewed around the edges and then wrapped the layers with Ribbon before sticking them to the card base. I die cut more black paper with a Spellbinders postage stamp die and layered a square cut from text paper on top and sewed around the edges before adding to the card base with foam pads. I added some die cut Butterflies from the Collectables pack and a sentiment and then added one of the new Hobby House flowers to the centre of one of the Butterflies. I finished with more letter stickers and some gems and pearls.
There are so many die cuts in the pack I used one to stamp on and to add the sentiment to the card insert. Kitty has also taken delivery of some fabulous little Kraft boxes in the past few day and I couldn't resist decorating one with more Tigerlily papers.
To decorate the box, I layered up strips of paper and added some stitching and stuck them around the box and simply popped a Butterfly on top with a flower centre. I finished with more gems and pearls to match the card. I hope you have a lovely Thursday!

Sugar Nellie DT - A Ribonita in a pocket!
Good Morning Sugar Everyone! I hope you are having a good week so far, it's my day for sharing a project on the Sugar Nellie blog today. I have been very busy and haven't had much time for crafting but I locked myself away in my little Craft Room last night and had a play with one of my Ribonita stamps which had not yet been inked up! This beautiful little doll is called Lolitta and is available here from Funky Kits.
I have used a pocket card blank which has been in my stash for a couple of years, I bought them when I was very new to crafting and found them when I was having a tidy and they are great fun to decorate. I covered the tag and the pocket with Thrift Shop papers by October Afternoon. I love the colours in this pad and the combinations and patterns are some of my favourites ever! I have used some pleated ribbon, lace and flowers from The Ribbon Girl .
The pocket was also decorated with October Afternoon papers and some flowers, buttons and a kraft swirl. I also added a beautiful resin flower from The Ribbon Girl. The little wooden birds have been in my stash for years! I really love them but can never find them when I want to use them! I think they look great with these papers.
Here is a picture of both the tag and the pocket together, These were so much fun to make and Lolitta was the perfect size to sit on my tag! I hope you have a lovely Wednesday!

Ribbon Girl Colour Challenge DT - Pink/Purple/Green
Good Morning Everyone! I have been looking forward to today for ages! Today is my first official Challenge as part of the Ribbon Girl DT! The colour combination we have for you to play with this month is fabulous! It is....
PINK/PURPLE/GREEN
I have made a card using an adorable digi from By Lori Designs and coloured her in to match the colour scheme and the papers I used from the DCWV Baby Mat Stack. I have used lots of goodies from The Ribbon Girl. After I had stitched my layers of card together, I wrapped them with bias binding and then with ric rac before adding the layers to the card. I added a cluster of flowers including the beautiful little blossoms and some purple rosebuds, I curled the stems of the tiny ones to make little springs. I added a small spotty button to the top left corner and finished with a sentiment by Hero Arts and some little gems.
I hope you will be able to join us for this month's colour Challenge. The DT have made some wonderful things to kick start your inspiration! The Prize will be a lavender mini ribbon kit from the Ribbon Girls
and the very generous ladies over at Lili of the Valley have given a £10 voucher to spend in their online store (http://www.liliofthevalley.co.uk/)

Sugar Nellie DT - A Sassy Saturday...
Good Morning Everyone! It's finally the weekend and right now the Sun is shining so things are looking up! My thoughts always turn to holidays at this time of the year so I thought I would ink up my 'Travel Lite' Simply Sassy stamp and create a card using some holiday and travel themed Crate paper backing papers.
I kept the layout pretty simple and distressed the edges of my papers before sewing around them. I added brads and a few embellishments and some Jenni Bowlin tickets I had stamped with a sentiment.
I coloured my image with Promarkers and then cut her out leaving a small border and added her to the card with foam pads. I really love colouring my Sassy stamps and love this one's hair in particular!
I hope you have a lovely Saturday!

Whiff of Joy Release day Blog Hop - Introducing Maya
Good Morning Everyone and Welcome to my Blog where I am sharing a card made using one of the brand new images which are being released today at Whiff of Joy. If you are following the Whiff of Joy blog hop you should have come here from the lovely Sonja's blog. I have used the adorable Maya with toadstools on my card and coloured her in using my Promarkers to match these lovely My Mind's Eye papers which are from an older pad. I created a layout by matting the patterned papers onto plainer ones and sewed around the edges with my sewing machine.
The sentiment was created using a ticket stamp and die which is also being released today, the sentiments are in german but I added a sentiment from another Whiff of Joy set to the blank ticket.
The flowers are from various places and the ribbon is also from Whiff of Joy. The gorgeous resin flower is from The Ribbon Girl. I added some little vintage mother of pearl buttons and some stick on gems as a finishing touch. Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you love Maya as much as I do! Your next stop on the hop is the lovely Lori.
Make sure you leave comments along the way as this month, 6 lucky commentators will each win one of the stamps from our new release. There are 6 secret stops on the hop, so be sure to leave a comment on each one of the DT's blogs. You just don't know which ones are the lucky ones! My Mum's Craft Shop DT - Tilly
Good Morning Everyone! For my usual Thursday post on the My Mum's Craft Shop blog this week I am sharing some projects made with some of the gorgeous new Wild Rose Studio stamps and papers which are now back in stock at My Mum's Craft Shop. I was inspired by the papers in the 'Man About Town' pack to colour 'Tilly with Gift' in shades of grey and red. She was great fun to colour in! I created a layout using three different papers from the pack and added some stitching with red thread to tie everything together.
I cut Tilly out leaving a small border and added her to the card with foam pads. I added a sentiment cut using Dienamics dies and finished with a large bow and some gems.
As I had so much fun making my card, I made a tag to match using my new Dienamics tag die. I created a similar layout to the card with more stitching and coloured 'Tilly with presents' with my Promarkers before cutting her out and adding her to the tag with foam pads. I finished with more ribbon and some gems.
I hope you have a lovely Thursday!

Passion for Promarkers DT - Lots of layers
Good Morning Everyone! I hope you had a good Monday. We have a great new Challenge this week at Passion for Promarkers chosen by the lovely Denise. The theme is 'Lots of Layers' so we would like to see at least 3 layers on your cards this week. I have made a card using a Pollycraft image and a sentiment from an old Elzybells set. The papers I have used are by My Mind's Eye from the 'On the Sunny Side' pad. I layered them onto red cardstock and sewed around the edges.
The image was coloured with Promarkers (of course!) and I cut it out leaving a small border. I added a small bow from yellow ribbon from my stash and some paper flowers which I have in my tin on my craft desk. I finished with a small spotty button and some red gems.

Whiff of Joy DT for the Whiff of Joy Challenge
Good Morning Everyone! Just a quick post today to share a card I made using the fabulous sketch fro this fortnight's Whiff of Joy Challenge. I am leaving in a few minutes to go to the Sue Ryder sale in Nettlebed. I have used My Mind's Eye papers on my card and the image is the Whiff of Joy Good Luck gnome. One of my favourites!
I masked the gnome off and then overstamped using the Whiff of Joy Essentials Background stamp. Unfortunately, I stamped the words upside down! The border die cut is also by Whiff of Joy and is available here. The sentiment I used is from Lili of the Valley.
I hope you have a lovely Saturday!

My Mum's Craft Shop DT - Inky fun with Creative Expressions stamps
Good Morning Everyone! It's my day for sharing a project on the My Mum's Craft Shop blog today and I am showing an altered frame I made using some of the gorgeous new Creative Expressions stamps available from My Mum's Craft Shop. The stamp set I have used is called Steampunk Flowers and is available here. I started with a light coloured wood box frame and removed the glass and took it all apart before staining it with Vintage Photo Distress ink. I kept going until I had the depth of colour I wanted sanding it down in between coats to achieve a distressed look. When I had finished staining I stamped the flower with cogs over the frame using Archival ink.
I created the picture inside the frame by blending Vintage photo distress ink onto white card and stamping around the edges with Vintage photo and Tumbled Glass inks. I stamped the sentiment with Archival ink and then put the frame back together before adding the flowers. I made these by stamping onto grunge paper and colouring them with distress inks and heating them with my heat gun to shape the petals. I added a Tim Holtz ticket on a pin holder and some Steampunk charms from my stash, some paper flowers and some Butterflies and little stick on pearls to finish.
I hope you have a lovely Thursday!

Pretty in Pink Pippi
Good Morning Everyone! It's my day to post on the Sugar Nellie blog today and I am sharing a card made using the adorable Pippi Longsocks stamp which is available here from Funkykits. I coloured her in with my Promarkers in shades of pink with touches of green to match the little Frog and to pick out the green in these beautiful strawberry patterned Crate Paper papers.
I created a simple layout using scraps of paper which were in my scraps basket layering them onto woodgrain paper and sewing around the edges with pink thread. I added some pink gingham bias binding to hide the join in the papers and added a doily behind Pippi which I also found in my scraps basket. The sentiment I used is from Melissa Frances.
Here is a close up of my coloured in image. She is so much fun to colour and I love the little frog, I have a phobia of frogs but can just about cope with cute stamped ones like this! I added lots of glitter to Pippi's wings to make them sparkle and I finished my card with a cluster of paper flowers and some stick on gems. I hope you have a lovely Wednesday! I am hoping for a quiet day today, we had a great day out in London yesterday celebrating the last day of the Jubilee but I am very tired now!

Whiff of Joy DT - Sharing in your sorrow
Hello Everyone! I hope you are having a good Weekend, we didn't go up to London today as it hasn't stopped raining since this morning but I have been watching some of the Pageant on the TV and it looks amazing! So many beautiful colours on show! I have a card to share with you today which I made using one of the lovely new stamps which were released last month at Whiff of Joy. This image is called 'Sharing in your sorrow' and is available in the shop here.
I made my card following this week's sketch at Sketch Saturday and used papers by Prima from the Madeline paper pad. I coloured the image with Promarkers and paper pieced the little girl's dress with a paper from the pad. The sentiment I used is from the Whiff of Joy 'General Sayings II' set.
Here is a close up of my coloured in image, I added some blue around the image and blended it out with my blender pen. I added some punched Butterflies and flowers from my stash along with a little wooden button I bought at the NEC and one of my favourite spotty buttons from the Ribbon Girl.

Sugar Nellie DT for the Sugar Bowl Challenge
Good Morning Everyone! I hope you are well. The Sun is hiding today and it is very grey and overcast. I hope it clears later on and stays dry tomorrow as I am hoping to go up to London to see the River Pageant. I made a card yesterday for my Grandma's Birthday using the latest sketch and theme from the Sugar Bowl Challenge. The sketch by Kiki is fabulous and the theme is 'shades of violet' so I dug out some of my Tilda papers which are in lovely shades of purples and pale violet.
I have used one of my favourite Leanne Ellis images, True Love, which is available here from Funky Kits. I coloured the image with my Promarkers and cut it out and mounted it onto some polka dot paper. I added some little glass gems with glossy accents and some beautiful flowers and gingham bias binding and a pearl pin from The Ribbon Girl. The sentiment I have used is from Penny Black.
I hope you have a lovely Saturday, I am off to clean the house quickly now!

A cute Birdie Brown Robot
Good Morning Everyone! I hope you are well and are looking forward to the long weekend. I recently discovered Birdie Brown digi stamps through my wonderfully talented Pollycraft teamie MaryJ.
She makes fabulous bright cheery cards and her colouring skills are amazing! I treated myself to the very cute 'Robot with a balloon' and now have a huge wish list of images I want to buy as this was so much fun to colour in!
I coloured the robot in to match this fun cogs paper from the Bobunny 'On the Go' pad. I added a panel of My Mind's Eye paper to the centre of the card and stitched around the edges with red thread. I added a sentiment from Penny Black and a cog and screw top brad from my stash and finished with some stick on pearls. I have a day off today so I am off now to do some crafting!
Have a lovely Friday!
