I used K+Co backing paper and coloured the image to match with Promarkers. The sentiment is also Elzybells. I am really into sewing on my cards at the moment so I whipped out the sewing maching again for
I used an Elzybells stamp for my card and did a bit of paper piecing.
On the close up of the couple you can see the Paperpiecing I did. The girls coat is Paperpieced from a scrap of K+Co paper and the boys jacket is brown card to make it look textured. The colouring is mostly done with Promarkers and a little touch of Sakura pen here and there. The snow is white glitter glue.
I just love this sentiment, it is so sweet and I think the little button really sets it off.
I added some more snowy glitter to the Flower but I don't think it shows very well. I sewed through the button with some embroidery threads.

I used papers from the Funky Wordbooks CD and the spotty green paper is the free download.
I cut a card base and then cut a scalloped edge my Fiskars border punch. I matted and layered papers and then sewed around them with my sewing machine before mounting them onto the card front.
I cut a strip of brown cardstock to make the trunk, inked the edges and stuck to the card base. I cut three leaves with my Fiskars ShapeCutter and Leaf Template. I inked the edges of the leaves and sewed a line through the centre with my sewing machine and then shaped the leaves by folding on the sewed line. I then stuck them to the trunk to make a tree shape.
I cut two different size circles with the circle cutter matted them together, cut them into quarters so that one will fit in the top right hand corner of the card. Sew around the edges. Add a greeting to the top right hand corner.
I stamped a bird onto two different papers and cut out and paper pieced them together. Stuck them to the bottom right of the card and made another for the inside of the card.
I decorated the inside with backing paper and white card adding sewing to the layers and stuck the second bird inside the card.
I am really pleased with how this card turned out as I just printed the papers I liked without a set idea of what I wanted to do, just winging it this time seems to have worked!Jane

I used the orange ink to distress some ATCs for my Addicted to ATCs swap. I'm not sure what the blue ribbons are doing there! Pegs have finally been moved from the bask to a new home but I have still not tidied up my ribbons, one day maybe...
Helene is going to study Meteorology so I wanted to make a Weather themed card for her.

The pom pom trim is from John Lewis and is quite expensive so I am using it as sparingly as possible. I think I should get 4 more cards out of the 50cm I bought.
I stamped the Elzybells Gingerbead man and coloured him in with Promarkers before cutting him out and adding him to the tag with foam pads. I then added a bit of bling and tied to the Cookie cutter with paper string.

So the desk is quite tidy today. I have a new lamp since last Wednesday. The daylight bulb in my desk lamp had blown to I bought a real daylight lamp that was on offer at Hobbycraft. Makes a real difference with the dark nights returning and also makes the photos much easier to take without a flash.
We had a trip to John Lewis and I treated myself to a yummy box of ribbons, some little gold bells, some magnetic tape (to sort out my Nestabilities), some paper roses, some linen thread and some nice card blanks. I also bought a massive stack of Papermania Christmas coloured papers from WHsmith which will come in very handy for my Christmas cards.
I decorated the box with Daisy and Dandelion papers and a little Elzybells robinn. I also used a printable template
It was so much fun to make and even more fun finding little bits and pieces to fill it with in Christmassy colours. I had a first rummage through my stash but am sure I can cram lots more in there so will have another look around for bits later on.
I coloured her in with Promarkers and Copic Spica pens and inked around the image. I then matted the image onto My Minds Eye papers and added some Card Candy to finish.

Petra and I run the Addicted to ATCs swap together. She is so multi-talented! She makes the most wonderful cakes as well as cards. The picture above shows the back of the cake with my Dad made from Marzipan relaxing on a chair in his back garden.
The cake is modelled on my Parent's new house which is L-shaped too. I just love all the little flower details.
I used DCWV textured card for my matting and layering and a Stampendous sentiment stamp that I cut with Nestabilities. The flowers are Prima and I added some Flower soft to the white one to look like snow.
Here is a close up of the coloured in image. I used Promarkers to colour the cute little bear in and paperpieced the present with some of the backing papers. I used Flower soft on the hat and a little bit of glaze on the nose to make it nice and shiny. I am quite pleased with the colouring of this image and used 3 shades of brown on the bear. I am still a novice when it comes to the colouring so am still having to put in a lot of practise.
I had a plan for the card but it has taken ages to put together. The sewing kept going wrong, my daylight bulb in my desk lamp has blown so working with the colours was difficult and the photos I have taken do not look very good.
I am worried the card is a bit plain but I am completely stuck as to what else I can add to the card as it is a card for a man! No flowers or bling allowed, buttons don't look right...
Here are the 3 ATCs together. I wanted to add 'Make a Wish' to the front of the ATCs but it didn't seem to look right so I am not 100% happy with the finished result.
Today is an exciting day, it is Elzybells release day! Pop on over to check out the new releases at 12:00 today. Elizabeth and the Design Team have been giving us sneak peeks of the stamps all week and I have already seen a few I will be adding to my wishlist. I stamped the image on Canson Card and coloured it in with my Promarkers. I then glazed the dog tag with glossy accents. The Backing papers used are all Basic Grey as is the ribbon. I layered up Nesties shapes on foam pads to mount the image on to.
I finished the card off with a layered Prima flower. The sentiment used is from Elzybells. I really love this cute little dog stamp. It was lovely to stamp with and lovely to colour in. I can't wait to use my other Kraftin Kimmie stamp to make more cards.
I used a template from Mirkwood designs to make the Trapezoid box. I printed the template directly onto Kraft cardstock before cutting it out. I then stamped the Spider's web and spider from the Elzybells seasonal sentiments. I covered one side of th box with black textured cardstock and then I stamped the Halloween Trick or treat trio onto white card and coloured and cut out my favourite little Mummy!
I mounted the Mummy topper onto a Nesties scalloped circle and stuck him to the black panel. I punched holes to form the ribbon closure as per the template and then assembled the box with strong glue.
I made a little Nesties tag and stamped the Trick or treat sentiment. I inked the edges of the box with a black chalk inkpad and then stuck orange punched stars randomly on the box. I filled the box with yummy treats and tied with a ribbon adding the tag to the back of the box.
I stamped the trio and coloured in the little Mummy and then cut him out. I mounted him on to a background cut from Nesties. The paper is Daisy and Dandelion from the Halloween stack. I love the Daisy and Dandelion paper stacks, they are really versatile even though they are themed. I cut little tags from a Sizzix shape, inked the edges, stamped an Elzybells sentiment and tied with a ribbon.
Here are all the 4 ATCs together. I just need to get them in the post now and hope they don't get lost in the strikes!
I had a busy evening yesterday while Hubby was at the Pub with his Friends. I had an order for 20 Thank you cards. I can take no credit for the design as I was asked to make them this way and any card making skills are totally outshone by my Friend's cute Baby whose photo is on the front of the card. Isn't he just the cutest! It didn't take me long to put the cards together once I got into a rhythm things came together quite quickly and I made a nice box tied with organza bow to deliver them in, unfortunately, I forgot to take a picture of it!
I hope you are all having a nice weekend. Hubby and I took Charlie to Virginia Water today for the first time. He had a lovely time meeting lots of Doggies and running around in the leaves.
This is us having a little rest. Charlie was exhausted when we came home! I spent some time this afternoon unblocking our drain (oh the joys of home ownership!) and having a little play with my Stampin Up Trendy trees stamps. I finally found a way of getting the trunks stamped in the right place so hopefully I will make a card with them later. My youngest Son is off to PGL for a week tomorrow so we have to finish off his packing tonight.
