WOYWW and some teeny Willow Designs cards

I haven't done this for a while but here is what my desk looks like today! It's nice to be back! There are a couple of new things on my desk. A recycled spice rack holding buttons is one of my favourite additions and there is a patterned overpriced Craft bag which holds all my Promarkers. Very handy as it has a handle and is basically a basket so I can carry it downstairs to do my colouring in. There is a beautiful Get Well card on the button rack sent to me by Petra and a couple of finished Projects are dotted around the desk. I think you can enlarge the project if you want a closer look.

I had a play with one of my Sizzix XL dies today, the shaker box die is fab and I have made a couple of DT projects with it that I can't yet share but I put it to use today to make a box to house some teeny cards and envelopes. The cards measure 5.5cmx6cm and I made envelopes for them making a template from a Paperchase envelope.
I used a download from Willow designs to print on to card to make the box and used another to make toppers for the cards and the box.
I added ribbon to the box to keep it closed neatly. The mini cards fit inside the box perfectly.
I used different shaped Nesties to make toppers for the cards and then matted them on to squares of the patterned card.
I added Hero Arts paper flowers as a finishing touch with some gems for a bit of sparkle.
I hope you are having a good Wednesday. I wll be back tomorrow with some DT cards.

  1. WOW - I SO NEED MORE INFO ABOUT THIS PROJECT. It is amazing. I love my shaker box die and new ideas are always good. It's a stunning project! Do the envelopes fit in too? If so, where did you get them or did you make them???
P.S. I can see an ATC I made on the desk and I recognise Elaine's lion too!!!

  2. very organised. love the little jars with the buttons etc. these cards are sooo sweet, love the images.

  3. Love that spice rack - so you! As for over priced storage bags, girl, don't set me off! Hope you're feeling a heap better now Jane. Loving the owl set..just lovely.

  4. Love the spice rack and the box/cards. I was playing with my shaker box die yesterday but as soon as I put it together my mojo flew right out the window, actually if you have very good eyesight you can see said box all abandoned on the top left hand corner of my cuttng mat. Lovely to see you back Hugs Pam x

  5. lovely box and mini cards. You are another crafter with a three tier wire basket thingy - can I please ask where you got yours from. I'm looking for one.

  6. That owl set is fab and your desk looks set for another outing :0)

  7. These are great, I love them! I like your box and all the cards that go in it! What a great gift idea!

  8. Hi Millie,

I love your desk full of goodies and your current project! You know what you have that I wish I had the most? That lamp! My room has great light during the day, but is terrible at night when the sun goes down. And, my building is old with terrible wiring, so I can't even use the lamps I have if other lights are on in other rooms!

One of these days, I keep telling myself, one of these days...

    Ramona :-)

  9. Great desk! I''m loving the colour of your table tote!

  10. Wow! Wow! Lovely, lovely box!!!

  13. Love the little spice rack, excellent idea! The cards are really sweet too, hope you're feeling better.

  14. Your work space it looking a little too tidy in my opinion Jane but I’ll forgive you on this occasion because I’m a little distracted but all those gorgeous coloured buttons.
What a fab idea to use a spice rack to keep them in…..I love it!

    Loving the cute cards too!
