Sitting here thinking by Clearly Besotted stamps

I have been having a little play with the adorable 'Sitting here thinking' stamp set from Clearly Besotted stamps. The stamp set comprises of 6 adorable little animals and a background scene as well as some sentiments, I used my Spectrum noir pens to colour in the images, masking the fox with a post it note on the first card before overstamping with the background.

This little scene was so much fun to colour in, the little fox is so cute! I die cut the finished image with a stitched square die then added it to card base I had covered with paper which I think came from an Echo Park pad.

I coloured and fussy cut three little critters for my next card and popped them on a inked grass background which I then stamped with a sentiment.

I got more adventurous with my colouring for the last card and popped the images in to some polaroid frames which I backed with text print paper and added them to a gingham background.
I hope you have a lovely Thursday!

Lili of the Valley is 15! New release of Rubber and Digi stamps today

Good Morning everyone, it's a day for celebrations today as Lili of the Valley is 15 today and there is a new release of rubber and digi stamps. There are 3 stamp sets being released today.

I used stamps from the Wedding set to make a card and coloured the adorable image with my Spectrum noir pens. I'm still practising with the new pens and collecting all the pens in the Colouring System range and the Triblends too.

Here is my finished card which I embellished with lots of flowers and pretty things from my stash.

I hope you have a lovely Wednesday and remember to check back on the Lili of the Valley website at 12 today for all the new release images!

Lili of the valley release on the 15th of May

Good Morning, I hope you are all well. I have some sneak peeks for you today of some new stamps which are being released on the 15th of May to celebrate Lili of the Valley's 15th Birthday.
There will be some new cute animal and wedding images and some very useful flower pot birthday stamps and sentiments

I couldn't wait to colour in this adorable little mouse with my Spectrum Noir alcohol markers. I have been practising with them this week!

Here is my finished card I made using old papers from my stash and some pretty embellishments. I love the way the pens work so well with the blender pen.

I made this card using some of the scraps from the first card and an image I coloured when I was practising with the pens, I'm going to be spending more time at my desk this week with my new pens!

Not many gaps to fill in now, can't wait to complete my collection!

Crafters companion and Spectrum Noir Design Team news!

Hello Everyone, I hope you are well and looking forward to the Weekend. I certainly am, I only wish the Sun would come back, it's been so cold and rainy here. As my blog post suggests, I have some exciting news to share! I have been chosen to join the Crafter's Companion and Spectrum Noir Design teams! I am so thrilled to have been given this amazing opportunity and cannot wait to get started.

I have been having a play with all the goodies from the latest Crafter's Inpsiration magazine over the past few days and have made two cards with the products from the Magazine.

I used the beautiful rose die and stamps for the first card, I love the die, it has a lovely vintage feel and would be perfect for wedding cards and invitations. I used lots of different grey inks to create a background paper using the stamp and made a frame which I inked and added on top before popping the die cuts on the corners.

I used a stamp from the Magazine coloured with Spectrum noirs for my second card and embossed a panel made from strips of scrap card using the embossing folder from the Magazine.

I then added with lots of sequins in coordinating colours and layered the panel on to black card adding a sentiment also framed in black.
You can find the latest issue of Crafter's Inspiration on the Crafter's Companion website  it's packed full of lovely projects from the Crafter's Companion Design team.
I hope you have a lovely Friday!

Lili of the Valley Spring cards

Good Morning everyone! I am back finally blogging again. I had an enforced little break due to our Wedding at the start of March and I was unfortunately ill for a couple of weeks after we came back from Honeymoon. Life is getting back to normal now so I thought I would share some or my recent Lili of the Valley cards.

The first two cards were made using one of the adorable images from the Easter Cuties rubber stamp set which is available here from Lili of the Valley

I coloured the images with a mix of Spectrum Noir triblends and Promarkers and kept the layouts pretty simple using scraps from my scrap paperbox and a few simple embellishments. I don't give many Easter cards out but I love making them, probably because of the bright colours.

The sentiment I used on this card is from a Clearly Besotted stamp set, I always love the fonts on the Clearly Besotted stamps.

This adorable little pup is from the Sunny days ser which is available here. I again used a mix of Spectrum Noir and Promarker pens and used lots of pretty flowers from my stash for a spring feel.
I hope you have a lovely Friday and lovely Weekend.

Lawn Fawn new release Easter card

I treated myself to some new dies, papers and stamps from the latest Lawn Fawn release and had a lot of fun playing with the tiny chick add on die. I made some little boxes which I will share with you another day but also put together a little duckling to use as a topper on an Easter card.

I hate throwing anything away so used some dividers I rescued from our recycling bins at work to die cut the little duckling and some scraps of orange and pink card and made a little topper using a Martha Stewart grass punch and some blue paper from my scraps box.

I love how the little duckling turned out. The little basket is also a die from the set and I cut it from kraft card. The paper is from a new pad which was also part of the latest release.
I hope you have a lovely Tuesday!

Dinosaurs Rock!

Hello Everyone! I hope you had a lovely Weekend. Mine was busy with lots of crafting, seeing Familuy and Friends and a trip to the Make it Show in Farnborough where I treated myself to lots of craft goodies and had a quick catch up with some of my Crafty Friends. As well as shopping at the Farnborough show, I also bought myself some new stamps online including the You Rock stamps by Tracey Hey which are available here from Alpaca Pals.

I made a background using Old Paper and Pumice stone distress inks and stamps from the set for my first card and coloured the image with Promarkers. The knitted texture backing paper I used to cover my card was in my scraps box.

I made a very quick and simple card next using more paper from my scraps box and coloured my Dinosaur in shades of green with Promarkers and added a strip of Kraft and a sentiment from the set.
I then finished with a couple of sequins. I love this stamp set so much and can't wait to make more cards with it. I am entering my cards in to this week's Passion for Promarkers Challenge.
I hope you have a lovely Monday!

Sweet Samantha!

Good Morning everyone! I hope you are well and having a good week so far. I've been feeling under the weather for the past couple of days but am on the mend now and eager to get back to the normal routine. I have a busy few days lined up with Card Commissions to finish, my final Wedding dress fitting and a trip to the Make it Show in Farnborough where I am looking forward to treating myself to some new crafty goodies. I have a couple of cards to share with you today which I made using the free stamps from the latest issue of Making Cards Magazine.

They are so lovely to colour and I had a lot of fun bringing the sweet girls to life with my Promarkers.  I love the cat and chair in this image. I used some papers which I think are Echo Park from my stash and added a sentiment from the set and a wooden button from my stash threaded with twine. I love the autumnal feel of this colour palette lifted with a tiny bit of teal.

I used more vibrant colours for my second card and a tried and tested layout which lends itself really well to stamp as it looks like Sweet Samantha is sitting on the pink strip. I love the turquoise of the geo paper and the little pops of colour too. I added an Artcuts wooden star and some sequins to finish.
I hope you have a lovely Thursday!

Butterflies and embossing on kraft

Hello Everyone! I hope you are well and had a good Weekend. I had some time to craft this weekend and had a play with the free gift from the latest issue of Papercraft inspirations which is a die, embossing folder and stamp which can all be used together to create lovely cards with an aperture for the stamped image to sit behind.

I used Kraft card which I debossed for the front of my card and coloured the butterfly in sepia tones with my Promarkers . I then added a sentiment from Clearly Besotted stamps which was stamped and embossed on to black card.

I made a matching tag using the butterfly die cut and embossed a strip of black card which had a brown core so coordinated very nicely with the kraft and added another Clearly Besotted stamps sentiment which I tied on to some black checked ribbon.
I hope you have a lovely Monday!

Lili of the Valley Birthday wishes

Hello Everyone! I hope you are having a good week so far. I spent a bit of time in my Craft room last night colouring images from the Lili of the Valley Spring release. I love this one! The little puppy is so cute! I coloured my image with Promarkers and die cut it into a oval before adding it to my card. I used some lovely Craftwork cards papers I had in my stash for the layout for which I followed the latest Sketch Saturday sketch.

Here is a little close up of the super cute Puppy and Mouse. I coloured the flowers so they matched the backing paper.

The Spring release from Lili of the Valley is full of gorgeous spring and Easter designs. Rubber stamps will be launched at the Farnborough show and then they and the digis will be available online on 26th. You can see lots of cards made with the new images on the Lili of the Valley facebook group

WOYWW - Some works in progress

Hello Everyone! I hope you are having a good week so far. I have not done much crafting for the past few days, just a few little bits here and there and some Wedding prep making things for my hen weekend.
I have several cards I need to complete before the end of this week which are slowly coming together on my desk which I am sharing for What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday.

To the left are lots of digis ready for me to colour and some die cut ready to go at the back. In the centre of my desk is a birthday card for my Dad which is nearly finished and just needs putting together and embellishing. I will have a good tidy at the weekend when the cards are all finished!
I hope you have a lovely Wednesday!

Our Wedding invitations

Hello Everyone! My Fiance and I are getting married next year and I have been busy making lots of bits for our Wedding day. I finished our Invitations off this week and they are now all in the post winging their way to our lovely Friends and Family.

Our colour theme is Grey, Blush and Rose gold. I used Owl Grey card from Hobbycraft for the invitations layered onto rose gold card from Crafter's Companion and then layered onto a darker grey card I bought online. The envelopes were all purchased from Ebay and Amazon and were a perfect match.

The fonts I used were Mottona, Proxima Nova and another one which I will need to look up again! We wrapped all the invitations with a printed band and blush lace from Imagine DIY.
I have lots of other Stationery bits to make still, table plan, menu cards but I had so much fun making the invitations, I can't wait to get started on the rest!
Have a lovely Friday!
